Nice place. The beer is good, but not mind blowing. I would come back to try more beers though.

This was the worst craft brewery I have ever been to. The inside is like a home brewer raided a restaurant supply store clearance section then put some board games in the corner. Side note: they do have amazing board games. The beer is still home brewer quality at best. Had their "NEIPA" tasted more like a bad unfiltered IPA. No food, bar snacks that you scoop yourself next to the dish cart and garbage can. Inside is disgustingly dirty. Would not come back. Only came because they won the Ashley's of Westland brewery bracket. The fact that this place won is a disgrace to the other breweries that competed. read more

$5 each cover to rent a tent (expected this as it was advertised), did not expect $5 advice charge for ordering food (not expected), food not made on site (not expected), food took 55 minutes to arive and was cold(not expected), and arrived in to go container. Can't give 0 stars or it would get that. read more

In town visiting a buddy and he brought me by. I'm glad he did. Service was great, beer was good, and had a good atmosphere. Would definitely come back next time I'm in town. Just an overall good experience. read more

Staff didn't acknowledge us (even as we stood at the bar in a mostly empty place...he kept walking on by), tables and floors were a mess, music was loud & aggressive - I wouldn't return. Quite a few folks stopped in with growlers, so it seems like the take-out business is decent for them. Several of the taps were out when we stopped in, so I ended up opting for a Faygo instead of a brew. It's a big enough spot, and seating options were good (especially with some board games that were out to play!) - but some definite tweaks are needed to make this a spot I'd return to on purpose. read more

Two of us went to Canton Brew works for the first time. Amazingly cold and crappy experience. Never returning. Lazy staff try to make everyone line up at the bar to order and scold you for not understanding. They let us sit there for 10 minutes with no greeting or anything. We then found a bar tender and asked what we had to do to get a beer. Or a menu. And he was a dick to us. So bothered by our attempt to give them our business. Eventually had two wheat beers. I love beer and they were both bad. Didn't even finish them before leaving, never to return. And they had the guts to charge $6 for homemade amateur crap. read more

Came in on a Saturday night with my husband and another couple. We were waited on right away and even had another guy asking us if we had been helped. I had an red beer..can't remember the name but it was tasty. We all enjoyed our beverages and the price was good too. We played cards against humanity. Love that they have games. It also was nice that it wasn't super packed and loud so we could actually enjoy having conversation. read more

Really appreciate the quality of CBW's beers. Their Saisons really shine. As for atmosphere, very basic. Free popcorn is always a plus. Tons of games and lots of event nights. Check out their calendar and hours before you go FYI. Trivia, karaoke, live music all take place here. read more

Honestly I love the feel of this place! We were thrown off walking in because it's in the center of a typical strip mall and I didn't see much from the outside. It was the exact atmosphere I was in the mood for. The music and snacks were perfect. Our beers were also awesome. I loved the "Say Whaaat?" And my guy loved the cascade in the shade. We also tried the hopbinger, he liked it, i didn't mind it but it had some really earthy notes I wasn't in love it. We would totally come back. Also a huge bonus that they played Tom Petty repeatedly today. staff was seriously awesome! read more

Was told about this place from some 30-something friends (we are late 40s) and were pleasantly surprised that the vibe is all ages and the beer is a B+ or better! I kind of like that it's in a shopping plaza, off the main drag. Grab a group; go solo. No matter because this place will welcome you. read more

This is our favorite place to be. For those that have not gone to a brewery before, you will need to order where the big signs say "Order Here", which might solve some of the issues the lower raters are saying. I also love that the bartenders give some personal attention to the people they know, it makes us feel more at home and willing to connect with others. read more

First visit! Nice little selection of beers. Had 9 on tap with a decent variety. An IPA, double IPA, tamarind chilie pale ale, pumpkin clove saison and a few others. Would be nice to have a few other options, but the ones I tried were all great. I went at Monday trivia so beers were only $5 which isn't bad for a microbrew. Only snacks like chips and nuts available for food purchase, but there's also free popcorn with plenty of seasoning choices. Feel free to bring any carry out food in with you. Love it! It's so nice to have a warm, welcoming place to hang out and have a beer. The staff is always on point and friendly. Colleen is my favorite bartender hands down. If you have free time on a Sunday you should definitely stop in and say hi. I also really like all the effort they put into entertainment - and of course the beer pairings with various snacks. Went in there with my dad on the rare occasion we had to spend time together. It was a Saturday night around 6pm and the place was empty except the bartender and 2 people sitting at the bar. I didn't care that it was slow. In fact, I expected to have better service because of it. That was not the case. It was our first time there so we didn't exactly know how it worked (yeah there is a specific way to do things, apparently). First off, nobody said anything to us when we walked in. We weren't sure if we were supposed to be seated or if we just seat ourselves. After standing around for about a minute we just sat down at a nearby table. Nobody came over to greet us. We looked at the menu for a good while (even though it was pretty small). I was fully prepared to go to the bar to order drinks because by this point I figured it wasn't a typical bar and grill with servers or friendly service. It felt more like a club that we didn't belong to. Side note: The menu says that you can bring food from outside in as they have a pretty limited selection of snacks (popcorn and the likes). That part was fine with me because we were just looking for drinks but if you're looking for some food with your drinks this isn't the spot. Anyway, I stood by the bar for a few minutes trying to order drinks while the bartender kept his back to me. My dad wanted to leave before I ever even walked up to the bar but I'm not a big fan of leaving a place without at least having a drink. I always thought it was rude. However, I gave up trying to order a drink after looking at the bartender's backside for a few minutes and my dad got up and we left. World of Beers had just opened on Ford Rd not far from Canton Brew Works so we went there. Much better atmosphere. Likely won't go back to CBW. read more

I wish Barry could be open a bit earlier on Sunday. Beer is great, frequent mug club specials, and the team creates great beers for the menu. They have lots of weekly events, with trivia, food, and-wait for it- drag queen bingo!! The staff has been there since inception, which says something for the place. No kitchen, but their pop ups are great, just don't use the pizza place next door. Love this place! read more

One of our favorite haunts, excellent beer at very reasonable prices with unlimited free popcorn.. A popular favorite brew- SayyWhattt. My fave- Admiral's Amber. If you have non-beer drinkers in the group, bring your drink of choice and pay a small corking fee. They don't really have anything more than potato chips and pretzels on the menu but you can bring your own food or snacks. Happened to be there on a Thursday and had a blast playing trivia. Recommend it wholeheartedly. read more

So sad. I used to love this place. We haven't been in there in several months and stopped in last night. They expanded the space, but have turned this into a dive bar. And not a cool dive bar. There was obnoxious karaoke with the same 3 people singing ridiculous songs over and over. In between ear-bleeding karaoke tunes, disco songs were played. Miserable. read more

I'm not usually one to post negative comments but I wasn't at all impressed with Canton Brew Works. The atmosphere seems good but the beer was not. I got a flight of most of the beers (except the Saison) and there wasn't one of them that I could even say one good thing about. All of them had off flavors and tasted like someone's first batch of homebrewed beer. I'm sure a lot of hard work has gone into getting this brewery setup and I know this review will hurt someone's feelings but hopefully the feedback will help drive improvements. The names of the beers were cool though! read more

Every time I have been there the new types of beer have been wonderful, sometimes I think wow that does not sound good and after trying a flight it usually is the pint I order. I would highly recommend. read more

This place has same really legit beer and they definitely don't mess around with their abv, you get your bang for your buck. All the beers I've tried taste great too. I'd buy bottles of the tamarind Diaz if they sold it. read more

A hidden gem! The beers are fabulous! Cloudy Night IPA is one of the best black IPAs I've had. A must try is the Tamarind Diaz which is brewed with Indian red chilies. Don't expect too much if you go. No servers and no food. You order beer and pay at the bar, and popcorn is self serve. Food can be brought in or delivered by a few local places. read more
