This was the first and last time I will ever come to this taco place. Nice start to review, don't you think? So we walk in it's not that bad of a looking place inside. They only except credit cards and debit cards, no cash. They are way over priced, and I do mean way over priced. $16 for my three little tacos, which were not even good ,sorry to say. $17 for my son's chicken quesadilla. I took a bite of it and now that was good, not worth $17 but it was good. He should gotten two quesadillas for that price. My other son and my other son's girlfriend both got the homestyle tacos and they looked OK and my son says that he thinks it was almost worth the $15 but still that is really a lot of money for those little normal size tacos. When your food is done, they call your name which you can't even hear it unless you're standing right by the cashier area. So you can't just go and sit down like I was doing, you have to stand right there and wait, which is kind of a pain in the butt ,cause you get in anybody's way who comes there to order some food. Most people are coming in and then leaving, I'm guessing due to the " card only" rule. It wasn't a real comfortable place to be in And like I said, my food was not very good and it was $16 which is pretty crazy for three little tacos. I don't know if the chicken was good or not. This place was just okay. Quite expensive and left a lot to be desired. The lemonade was diabetic keto acidosis in a single sip and the prices were too the moon and back for what you got. I was disappointed they didn't really have much in the way of vegetables for the racks and burritos it was mostly meat and cheese which hey is great but not the healthiest thing. Inside was very loud and packed. The biggest issue though was the staff member who all but shoved me out of the way to refill his cup and then went back in the kitchen. Gave me a dirty look for being in his way and barged right in front of me without saying a word. It was shockingly bad customer service and it's enough that I will not be returning. read more

I had the Shrimp & Grits w/Greens. The grits & greens were very good! The shrimp however wasn't so good. Taste wise it was good. However it was over fried and salty!! My other two diners had the Birri Tacos and the Queso (w/Chicken) Burrito. The Birri Taco was more like a chili cheese taco. The burrito did not have much taste. The salsa for the chips was not a traditional tomato salsa. It was over-puréed and had a lot of cumin (or curry!). I would recommend because the grits were very good but be aware of possible disappointments. read more

Came to Niagara Falls hungry and decided to check this place out. Ordered the nachos which the kitchen put rice on - rice wasn't listed in the nachos ingredients list. It also came without lettuce, which were listed on the ingredients list. The food was good here. I had two of the dishes with grits, and the grits were particularly good. So were the greens. The shrimp was good. The sausages were decent but could have been better. The cornbread was good, but I wish they offered butter with it. It is odd and off putting that they charge for cups of tap water. Tap water should be free. This newish restaurant was hyped for the connection to Hells Kitchen contestant and Chef Ramsey. I think the crew in the kitchen forgot that- almost bothered to have to take my order. There was an older gentleman in the back (I am guessing the chef) who had to get their attention to take our order. The gal at the register was real inconvenienced by taking my order! The food- I got the queso burrito. It was very good. The pork was tender and juicy. My only complaint was that it wasn't very hot. The food is a combination of soul food and Mexican. It was tasty- just not very hot. The peach cobbler was cold and kind of slimy- not ooey gooey- slimy. It had some good underlying flavors but the textures and temperature were all wrong. I just tried this place out today! You get three tacos of choice. Not a super expansive menu but what they have on here is great. I tried the smoked chicken tacos with salsa verde and they were delicious. Queso is decent. Only weak spot is the price. $15 for three is a little steep. Place is clean and decor is hip and trendy. The tacos were pretty good, I got 3 chicken tacos and my friend order 3 ground beef tacos. The chicken was a little plain though, I added some hot sauce. The was a little pricey for the amount, it was $15 for 3 street tacos. I go to place in Lockport called Mantios, which is amazing and it's $3 each for a taco and you can pick choose how many you want and what kind of a meat without being charged extra. It was additional $2 here if I wanted to mix and match, so I just got 3 chicken. My friend asked for 2 cups for water for me and her, and was told we would have to pay $1 each to rent a reusable cup. I never been to place where I had to pay a $1 to use a cup, that's just ridiculous. So we ate our tacos with no drink. There was also paper cups there but when the girl at counter asked the chef if she could give us one, he said no and pointed to reusable cup. I just paid $30 tacos and I can't even have 2 cups of water for free. That's crazy. Had the opportunity to stop by today while in town to visit the Falls. Chose the Shrimp and Grits and very glad I did. The dish came with a side of greens and to be honest, they are the star of the show! I have traveled all over the country and world. I have had collard greens from all over the place and these were the absolute best I have ever experienced. The chef certainly knows what he's doing. The cheesy grits and shrimp were delicious as well. However, I could happily come back every day just for those greens! read more

Beyond basic. Where to start...the rice is gross, it reminds me of a crappy boxed rice but worse. Honestly, Rice a Roni is better ( and that's already bad) The beans were gross, bad flavor- its as if they couldn't decide on Mexican beans or BBQ so they combined the two and very badly. The ground beef is not very seasoned and whatever it was (packet seasoning I'm sure) it wasn't very good. I had maybe two bites of the walking taco and one bite of the beans/rice combo. The best and only good thing about this place was that they played good Puerto Rican music, although it's a Mexican place. Oh, and in the beginning they gave us someone else's order, and that person got someone else's etc...between 3 different couples all of our food was mixed up. Tacos? Yes, amazing. But here is the thing - the outside of this place in downtown Niagara Falls tells you to get your mouth ready for tacos and burritos, but there are a couple of neon songs on the side that also let you know that soul food is nearby. This menu hosts fish and chips, shrimp and grits, smoked wings, and gumbo. I'm not finished! Oxtail gumbo! Oxtail tacos! This is close to Buffalo so you might have some feelings about wings, but wings should only ever be smoked like these. Great menu. Great food. Hidden gem. Forget the Rainforest Cafe garbage and go to here instead. read more

I got the tacos with fried fish, and my friend got the ones with short rib. Both were delicious, full of protein and flavor. However, the lavender lemonade is a lie--I love anything with lavender in it, and the picture advertising it made it look and sound like something that actually had lavender in it--but it had absolutely zero lavender flavor. It just tastes like sugar, and it came in a Starbucks cup so it's possible the "lemonade" was just pure sugar. read more

Great place for some tacos or burritos around the falls. Found out by walking around the area. The place was empty when we order our food but later people started coming in. They have a variety of choices to pick with. Server were friendly and nice. We order a chorizo bowl and a steak burrito with chip and salsas. Foods were delicious and tasty. Their chips were amazing. While we checked out, we found out there's a reward program. They offered us punched card (loyalty card), after 5 purchase you get a free meal. Don't forget to ask for the card. The chicken wings here were amazing. At first I was a little skeptical because it was pretty slow for the line to move and get my order but when I did, it was well worth the wait. All of this on the 4th of July when other neighboring Resteraunts were turning business away. We have two more days and we will be back for more before our trip ends in a few days. I found this nice little gem during my trip to Niagara Falls. It's a very touristy area so much of the food is overpriced and doesn't look worth what you're paying for it. However, this place wasn't too bad. The workers were super nice and polite. The place is very clean and spacious. I love the color scheme. There's booths, high tables, and regular tables. It's a build your own bowl type of place like Qdoba and Chipotle. Very delicious! read more

This restaurant next to Hyatt Place Niagara Falls has only been open a few weeks, and it is excellent. It is similar to Chipotle but much healthier and with many more choices. They assemble your food as a salad, bowl, wrap, burrito or whatever. It is a large amount of good food, it felt like it weighed 1.5 pounds. We liked it and the sweet people working there, so that we ate dinner there twice, at less than $25 for 2 people. read more

The chips were really good. That's about the only positive thing I can say about our experience here. Overpriced, no kid-sized options, and the food was mediocre at best. We all had the chicken so I can't comment on any of the other meat options, but it was nowhere near the quality/taste of Chipotle. We were the only ones in line and it was really slow. Amazing! This place is much like Chipotle, but in my opinion the food was way better. And I don't say that lightly. Carnitas: slamming, Flank Steak: slamming, Beef tacos: slamming. It's good to see a new NF restaurant doing it right. It's on the ground floor of the Hyatt on the Old Falls Street side. I parked at the municipal lot and they validated parking at front desk when I told them I was only there for the restaurant. 15% off for local residents! While the food was great and the worker at the register was very pleasant the wait was insane. There was only one other small group of people there and we had to wait 30 minutes for a burrito and a cup of soup.
