I love the vibe in here. The decor is so nice and it's so clean and the service was great. I'm not a huge fan of Mexican overall but my husband already asked when we're going back and we just went today We got the guacamole, queso, chicken quesadillas and beef tacos and everything was great. Today being V-Day, I wanted to take my lovely wife to a place she loves. BUT La Galera has moved, and this is the third time we've been to their newer location without luck: 1st visit - closed 2nd visit - closed again 3rd and final visit - Full, and joined for just a moment a packed foyer of waiting wanna-be diners, with an employee telling many inside that tiny packed foyer like sardines, they're full, and at the current rate, another seat/table wouldn't be opened for at least an hour and a half!! And that's for the first on the waiting list. We departed with another person who wasn't going to wait, and turning the corner to the side lot, the man beside us sees a backing out vehicle bump his car! The least they could do is plow their parking areas!! It'll be a loooong time before we return here!! read more

Great food, great service, if you're looking for a great Mexican place, La Galera should hit all the marks. Come hungry and order the Molcajete Fajita dish like I did, it was delicious! Decor is a little sparse but they just moved locations so maybe it'll get a more Latin feel instead of rustic? One of my favorites in the area! read more

This is for the new location, ex-Pondersa on NF Boulevard. Food was good, service excellent. Portions plenty large. I have not been to the former location, but this location had zero ambiance. Seemed like having Mexican food in an old Ponderosa. Prices were at par with others in the area. I prefer El Cubilete down the road, as it is smaller, quieter and the food/service is equally as good if not better in some cases. We will see if we go back in the future. read more

Still come here all the time, still hits every time. I never have leftovers because even if i'm so full it hurts, i just can't stop myself. It's just too good. Our server for this particular occasion, Mason, was phenomenal. Very attentive but not overbearing, and always saw to our needs without being asked. I'm tipping 100% which is less than he deserves considering the food is so cheap. I hope he is our server every time. The other servers are fantastic too though. read more

I really just love coming to this restaurant. I find that it's always consistent and I really enjoy the food. The staff is super friendly and pleasant when I go in for a meal. I've been to this restaurant for lunch and dinner and it's always wonderful. The other night I went to dinner with my fiance and we had a an estimated wait time of 45 minutes. The food is that good that I really didn't mind at all. We really didn't have to wait that long at all. Once were were seated it was smooth sailing. I try to change it up and get something different each time. I tried a quesadilla with shrimp chicken and steak and my fiance had the fish tacos. We were both super happy with with our meal. I decided to get a large peach margarita and he got a medium raspberry margarita. Like most times, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs and we had to take what we couldn't finish to go. I could barley get through half of quesadilla. My fiance finished his dinner but he couldn't finish his marg. Did you know you can take your alcoholic drink to go??? Cause I didn't! We figured no big deal, we'd just leave them but no, our waiter brought us to-go cups and told us we were welcome to take them with us. I didn't know that was a thing but it certainly is. I poured our drinks in cups and put a lid on them. Now I don't know the law but the idea is you take it to go as long as you don't open the cup or put a straw it while driving. Good to know! We were able to bring our goodies home and sip on them in the comfort of our living room! How cool. What win! read more

They do not have salt or pepper on the tables or a variety of hot sauces. Which was disappointing because it could have been used for extra flavor. This is my vibe! We were looking for a good Mexican restaurant near the falls and after coming up short we expanded our search to any restaurants, still nothing. One more look and we luckily found La Galera. Tables/decor that look like it's from the 90s, chips you can tell are homemade, and delicious ground beef (that tastes like it was seasoned like a burger, interesting)- you can't beat it!! This was my first time having Burria tacos and they were delicious!!!!! The meat was so tender and flavorful. The consume was delicious I will definitely order this again.
