Ravioli Bolognese

A little local gem!! We came here on a Thursday night and had the pleasure of being served by Antonio- he was very friendly and great at serving us! The restaurant wasn't too busy but he did mention it had been a slow week for them. The place itself has great dim lighting perfect for a night out to unwind. Very clean and cozy atmosphere as well which I always appreciate. Food was amazing! My boyfriend and I tried out the bruschetta (amazing 10/10) , sausage and peppers (also amazing 9/10), sausage and spinach pizza (super good and not too heavy 8/10, Caesar side salad which was ok (5/10) and bolognese ravioli which was amazing! We paired our dinner with a few cocktails as it was the special of the day- $5 martinis!!! Unheard of! And they were delicious. We will totally be back and can't wait for the outdoor seating to be open this summer.

We chose Canta Napoli to host our baby's first birthday party after we had an excellent experience here for my shower a couple years ago. As expected, we had another wonderful experience! Mike is so accommodating and easy to work with, and he made the entire planning process totally stress-free. The food was fantastic and everyone was raving about it. I would absolutely recommend Canta Napoli not only for their great food, but for hosting events. The pricing was very fair for the high quality of service, and we will absolutely be back for future events!

The most delicious meatballs!! Everyone at our table loved it.

We dined at Canta Napoli last night for a group dinner and all enjoyed our experience! The restaurant was spacious, and service was friendly and on point. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. We especially loved the bruschetta, and the meatballs were the best I've had; everyone loved them so much. We will definitely come back!

I want so badly to love this place. I love the name, the atmosphere and the descriptions on the menu. I visited for the second time today, this time for lunch, and ordered a Caprese panini with grilled chicken. Paninis come with a choice of fries, soup or salad -- I selected the chicken and rice soup. The soup was so-so -- it didn't have much flavor, and it reminded me of soup from a diner. The sandwich tried to look like a panini, but it was more like a sub sandwich with panini press marks on the bread. I'm very glad I had grilled chicken added, because without it, I think the sandwich would have been more bread than fillings. Our server was friendly and attentive, and we enjoyed the bread with olive oil and Parmesan that we received as soon as we were seated. Maybe standard Italian fare is Canta Napoli's specialty. If I return, it would be only try a pasta dish, as I haven't been overly impressed by their sandwiches or fish/salad entrees so far.

Love Canta Napoli. Great place for girls night, couples, family! Food and service are always excellent! Really love the happy hour too. I have hosted two wedding showers, multiple work pizza and wine tasting events and and attended a wedding here. I would highly recommend! The entire staff is the best too!

The Yelp reviews were mostly five stars, and it was touted to be a locals' favorite, so we decided to give it a try. We both chose the patty melt with a cup of vegetable soup. The soup sounded like an excellent choice on this cold cloudy day. The food, the service and the ambience were all wonderful. We finished off the meal sharing a slice of hot peach pie with vanilla bean ice cream. It was all fantastic.

Established (as the wall told me) in 1936, I expected "Polish" to be in menu alone...and I was wrong. The gal behind the bar had an accent. Halfway through the Bears game, I started hearing folks concerning and cheering in Polish. I felt like I had slipped into a cool little club to which I would never have otherwise been invited. Loud (but not too loud) and boisterous. I read some other reviews talking about rude regulars: rubbish. Chicago is loud and direct. If you don't like that vibe, the shoulders in this city may just be a little too broad for you. The pierogi and the pyzy were great, both served with sour cream. The beers, while not draft, had a wide, Euro-leaning selection but still respected some local favorites (Old Style). Good food. Good folks. Confusingly brilliant ambiance. You're missing out if you skip The Log Cabin.

The 오뱅이 (sea snail and squid muchim) has a bold sweet-spicy kick with chewy noodles and fresh veggies, definitely flavorful with some heat! Portions are generous! We always end up with leftovers, and our kids love the chicken and fries. The vibe is lively with colorful lighting, service is smooth, and food comes out quick!

The servers kept passing by our table and going to other tables even when we notified them we needed a server. I started with the Screwkiss Cocktail and my guy had the Melona Cocktail. Considering they had whole popsicles in them, it wasn't surprising they were on the sweeter side. However, mine took forever and a half to melt; I even had to use a spoon to try and mash it faster. Fun drink, but wouldn't get it again. The complimentary bean sprout soup was light and refreshing. We started with the Stir-Fried Chicken Gizzards. It was much more rough/tough than expected. It was my first time having it and I liked the flavor, but the texture was mehh. My guy said he's always had gizzards that were softer and preferred it like that. The Beef Brisket with Mung Bean Sprout was really good! My favorite dish for sure! It was perfectly cooked and flavored and definitely a 5/5 for me. I got a side of Glass Noodles to eat with it, but I didn't like these noodles. Glass noodles are one of my fave noodles normally. The Army Stew with Ramen Noodles was good, but the flavor was pretty monotonous so it got boring fast. Their kimchi was okay and I wish it didn't have some of the ingredients like the pepperoni. We got a side order of Tteokbokki and it was a really great choice with this dish!
