Listened to what I wanted to accomplish and offered effective suggestions for how best to make it happen! Started the project with a group prayer not only for the project and his team but also for the health and welfare of my family! Not your typical start to a project. Chris and team worked effectively to demo an 800 sq ft deck and rebuild it along a similar footprint in a short 3 weeks. They took great care to treat the place like it was their own and left it cleaner than they found it! Highly recommend this group for great work at an honest price! Chris' dog Rambler was a gentle giant and onsite frequently during the project. He was sweet and friendly while constantly curious!

I'm in the process of remodeling my home, and from this experience of dealing with dozens of…read moredifferent contractors I've received a full spectrum education in their world. Here's the gist of what I learned: about half of the contractors are honest.. they make the process fun and are a real pleasure to deal with; the other half are dishonest... they string you along, make the process a hassle, and are a real pain. Chris (the owner) and his team are a shining example of what great contractors SHOULD be. For starters, Chris is an extremely kind and responsive person. From my first phone call with him (he showed up the same-day, on a SUNDAY) to my projects completion day.. he always responded quickly, was extremely polite, and very thorough. (He never gives you those weak 2-word text responses like lesser contractors). Chris helped me design my deck and pick out the best materials for my needs. He used a 3D rendering software that shows you exactly how your deck is going to look in your backyard. It was actually really cool, and helped me make some tweaks to the design before starting construction. After signing my contract, his crew showed up the very next morning. These guys were absolute studs. They worked their butts off from 8am - 6pm every day until the job was complete... wow! Many days I work from home, so I was able to watch them. They didn't rush their work, they were very calculated and meticulous about doing the job the right way (a marathon not a sprint mentality). This doesn't mean they're slow, it means they care about the details and doing things right. His crew also isn't a bunch of 20 year old rookies playing on their phones either. These guys all look to be in their mid 30's and early 40's. Men with lots of experience.. they have families to feed, work extremely hard, and know what they're doing. The craftsmanship was phenomenal. The engineering very structurally sound. The design is beautiful and actually has my neighbors giving compliments. Anytime there was an issue during the project (and there weren't many), Chris and his crew fixed it immediately like it was no problem at all. Easy peasy. Chris did what he said he was going to do, when he said he was going to do it, and charged me what he said he was going to charge. Actually.. he went above and beyond what he said he was going to do, he made improvements to the project beyond what was promised, and even gave me a discount at the very end because of a few minor details.. which he didn't have to do. I didn't complain and I didn't request a discount...that's just the kind of guy he is. Incredible. I'm going to mention one last thing I was going to leave out but I think it's important. Every morning before work began, Chris gathers his crew and they do a group prayer together. They ask each other what's going on in their personal lives, and what they can pray for each other about. Then they read a short scripture out loud together, and they start their day. Unbelievably cool. Why do they call themselves Sasquatch? Because these guys are freaking beasts. This is one of those rare experiences where I had a feeling it was going to go well, and it turned out even better than I had imagined. There's a reason why they have so many 5 star reviews. If you're looking to have a deck built in Austin I'm going to help you... skip the weak fluff and go with Sasquatch.

We had to wait until we were finished with some other construction before we could do the fence and Ken and Ashley were very helpful and worked with us about shifting the schedule to accommodate our construction. Once we were ready to go the crew came out and were professional and helpful talking about the project. They got right to work and even though Ken told me it would only take two days I didn't believe it could be done that quickly. Ken was right and the crew worked their tails off and were very efficient and cleaned up very well. I would recommend Georgetown Fence and Deck and will be using them again when I can.

After getting several quotes, we chose Georgetown Fence & Deck to install an ornamental metal fence…read moreat our new home. Pricing was similar to another vendor, but Georgetown won out because they seemed better equipped to work with our restrictive HOA to navigate approval for a puppy picket fence. Their responsiveness and ability to fast-track paperwork gave us confidence--and they did deliver on that. We wanted a rackable puppy picket design, which most companies couldn't accommodate. After some searching, Ken (the owner) located a sample panel that seemed perfect. He showed it to us in person and said he could weld a fence to of that type for a small surcharge. We signed, paid a 50% deposit, calendared a date, and believed we were set. The very next day after paying our deposit, Ken informed us the sample panel was unavailable nationwide, with no new stock for months. Already under contract with him and having to let our dogs out on leash for a month, we reluctantly settled for his only other option: a standard rackable fence with puppy mesh. Ken did reduce the price to reflect the substitute panels, but charged full price for the puppy mesh. Given the frustration of losing out on the fence we'd waited for, comping or at least discounting the puppy mesh would have shown goodwill. Instead, we paid for something less than what we bargained for; a compromised design that's a challenge for yardwork. Our neighbors (also Ken's customers) have shared their displeasure with weed-eating their side of the puppy mesh with us on more than one occasion. To their credit, our installation went smoothly without a hitch and on time. Georgetown uses a blend of Portland and quick-set cement so the job is done in a single day. That worked for us, though some might prefer posts to set up overnight. By mid-afternoon, our fence was in place. Still, the end product was not without flaws. The fence looks good from a distance, but, up close, some welds are inconsistent, and a few welds are incomplete with visible holes. The gate hardware was bare minimum--no self-closing hinges, no key-locking latch. When I later asked about upgrading the gate hardware at my expense, Ken dismissed it as no longer possible and told me I didn't need it. Meanwhile, our neighbor's installer provided higher-quality hardware as standard. This was our first metal fence, and we relied heavily on Ken and his experience for guidance. In hindsight, it felt like we weren't offered the best options. There were also issues with our sprinkler system made obvious by the fence installation. Ken hinted before the contract that he could help if our builder misplaced irrigation heads relative to the property line, which happens often. Sure enough, our builder's irrigator missed the property line on several heads. When I called, Ken's only suggestion was to "call the builder yourself." It all worked out in the end, but the help implied up front was ultimately not what we would have hoped. After two months, rust was already showing at several welds. Nothing catastrophic, but disappointing because that means painting over the weld spots was inconsistent. I'll just touch it up myself rather than engage in another conversation. Maintenance is on me, sure, but after only three months? In the end, Georgetown delivered a decent fence at a fair price--just not the one we contracted or the quality expected. Scheduling was quick, and installation was efficient. However, the hit-or-miss welding and paint quality, budget-grade hardware, and limited assistance on sprinkler issues left us underwhelmed. Even their HOA connections ended up moot since the fence they ultimately installed didn't require pre-approval. And while Ken did adjust our project total to reflect materials actually used when the original materials fell through, paying full price for the less desirable puppy mesh solution we never wanted left us with a bad taste. Would I say don't use Georgetown Fence & Deck? No--they're competent, reliable, and can get the basic job done. But if you do, no matter who you go with: 1. Get written confirmation the materials you want are in stock before paying a deposit. 2. Do your research and nail down every detail up front in writing. Don't assume options will be available later. 3. Get promises in writing and in your contract. In short, for a functional standard metal fence installed quickly at a reasonable cost Georgetown Fence & Deck is fine. Look elsewhere if you desire higher quality workmanship or more flexibility in design and feature choices.

Roberto and crew are awesome at quoting just what you need, and letting the homeowner make the decision on what to include in the final bid. Once you get your quote emailed, you can select it via the link and they will send you an email and text with scheduling times. They take the rain into account to ensure the work gets done without interference. I had a shared neighbor fence with rotting posts and they quoted 5 poles and any fixes to slats as needed. The quote included metal posts and wood, we chose metal for longevity. The installers put in cement to lock them in for good. Pinar also split the quote with my neighbor and sent us separate invoices. They finished the work in 2 days, only because my neighbor had them complete a new gate as well, which I just had them do as well. They can do it all when it comes to fence work, they are on time, polite, quiet, and clean up after the job is done. All removal is included in the pricing. No surprises on the bill. I will be having them come out and just finish out the rest of my posts to metal, to match the neighborhood fence, which started with metal anyways.

We bought/stained pressure treated lumber and did the demo work of pulling up the old porch. We soon discovered to our dismay that the underlying frame and columns holding up the veranda were varying degrees of rotted-out and needed to be replaced entirely. We wanted the job done right, and so we decided to find a contractor to work with. After doing some research on Yelp, I reached out to a handful of deck building specialists. Originally, Deck N Cable Railing wasn't even on my radar. Yelp has the function that if you click a button, it'll automatically duplicate your request and send it to an additional handful of businesses. I didn't even realize that I had accidentally done this. I'm so glad I did because Deck N Cable Railing was one of the businesses that Yelp sent my way. First off, they were very fast at responding to my request for info. They reached out, asked for a bit of additional information, and then offered to come out to give a free estimate in person within 24 hours. Juan Pena, the owner, arrived on time for the appointment. He listened attentively to our needs and evaluated the job that needed to be done quickly, efficiently, and thoroughly. He was sensitive to our desire to not let the lumber we had already bought/stained go to waste and made a plan to utilize it. He was also able to give us a quote on the spot which was really helpful. On the day of the installation, Juan arrived with his crew members, Jovial and Alejandro, to help get this situated for the job before he left for the day to attend to other projects. Jovial and Alejandro spoke limited English, but they used their smartphones and Google Translate to communicate with me when a question came up and so communication worked out just fine. Jovial and Alejandro were friendly, professional, and very hard workers. They were fast and fastidious and kept the job site neat. Juan had said that it may take up to two days to finish the job, but his crew were almost complete by the end of the first day. There was a minor issue with the frame visibly sticking out just a bit at one corner of the terminating edge of the porch. It wasn't a structural issue, more of a minor cosmetic issue, but I discussed the issue with Juan, and he immediately came up with a suitable solution to address my concerns. He joined Jovial and Alejandro on the morning of the second day of the installation to personally inspect their work. The job was finished within an hour or two on the second day. All in all, Juan and his team did an excellent job with the porch. It looks fantastic and feels exceptionally sturdy. We're very happy with the quality of the work, and we are looking forward to enjoying it for many years to come. We'd recommend Deck N Cable Railing without reservation based on the quality and efficiency of their work alone, but that's not the only reason you should consider giving them a call. Juan was very easy to work with. He's professional, responsive, friendly, and conscientious. He takes a lot of pride in his work and it's important to him that his clients are 100% satisfied with the work done. Moreover, his pricing is very reasonable. His quote for the job was by far the most reasonably and competitively priced bid. Finally, and this is a bit embarrassing, I accidentally overpaid for the job. I paid Juan in cash, handing him an envelope with cash, without realizing that I had miscounted it. Imagine my surprise when I got a call from Juan that evening (apologizing for calling so late!), to let me know that I overpaid him, and he wanted to schedule a time when it was convenient for me for him to stop by in person to return the amount I overpaid. That's integrity, folks. If, like me, Deck N Cable Railing isn't on your radar, they should be. Solid 5 stars.
