Ribeye, Caesar salad salad, Moscow mule

Excellent lunch spot. Very friendly staff Priscilla was great. Compliments for the chef. I ordered the ribeye and Caesar salad and for a cocktail I tried the Moscow Mule, espresso, martini highly recommend. If you plan on going for dinner make sure to make a reservation they seem to be pretty busy getting calls for a dinner spot

What an incredible gem along the enchanting canals of Amsterdam. This was my girlfriend and I's first dining experience while visiting and we're off to an incredible start. The staff is incredibly attentive as well as being incredibly attractive. Prompt and friendly service. Dimly lit with 90's and early 00's hip hop and r&b. Onto the food... the French cheese with a twist was incredibly with the garlic bread and pickles. We got the bbq platter for two and were pleasantly surprised (as Americans) at the depth of the flavor profiles and attention to complementary flavors. The Zombie Attack is a must drink but buyer beware... it might have you acting like a zombie by the time u you've had two or three. 10/10 absolutely will be coming back and recommending

Cannibale Royale was my boyfriend and I first stop on our nine day Amsterdam trip. Once entering the door we were immediately approach by beautiful waitresses. we did not have a reservation so we opted into dining at the bar. I would recommend booking a reservation ahead of time if you want a more intimate experience. We ordered an appetizer which came out with a diabolical twist that was pleasant and fiery. We hydrated with some strong rum and chow down a two course meat platter. I would highly recommend this restaurant. 10 out of 10 in the music selection was R&B so right up my alley. If they had an open

    Food menu (serving until 11pm).

Overall, great music, service, and good vibes. Very dog-friendly, too! This was our first dinner in Amsterdam since it was right next to our hotel. It was very conveniently located and super easy to get into. The friendliness and fun atmosphere make it worth a trip, but not a must-visit. If you're looking for a good meal, it's a little overpriced, but one of the better options around the Museum Quarter area. They serve food until around 11pm. My fiance had the "Le Classique" burger which was pretty good, but large -- a little hard to eat. We also ordered the fries (good, but much thinner than expected). We tried a few different drinks -- the Moscow Mule, Spicy Paloma, and Elderflower spritz. All of them were decently good (7/10) and the food was similar. Overall, I would return and try a few more dishes. **This was the only restaurant we tried in the Netherlands with an automatic tip screen populating after paying. It's also right next to a red-light window row... definitely wasn't expecting that so far from the red-light district, lol!

Cannibale Royale is a bar and restaurant specializing in meat (steak, ribs, burgers). I got the L'Exceptionnel steak, which was described as 'cote d'boeuf', and which seemed to be ribeye. Now, I'm from the US, and maybe our steak is just better, but I would say the steak at Cannibale Royale is sort of average. Cooked to the requested temp (medium rare), mostly. A 2-3 bite chunk was undercooked and almost raw, and it wasn't even near the bone. The meat itself had some gristle, more than I would expect from a ribeye steak you'd get in a supermarket (in the US). It's possible though that this is good by European standards. The rest of the experience does make up for a lackluster steak. The bitterbal was interesting to me, since I've never had that. And the place has a nice vibe. Friendly service too.

A wonderful evening because of the delicious food and nice service. The burger was juicy and full of flavor. The meat platter was a great taste of everything. Chicken had perfect spices, the brisket was not fatty but so tender. The sausage was very good and I cannot forget the fall off the bone ribs. My daughter and I shared so we could taste it all and we are thankful we made that choice. The restaurant was nice and cozy where spending the evening dining and having a perfect family evening. Important to make a reservation to guarantee a table.

Went here on a recommendation from the concierge. I ordered the side Caesar, fries, flank steak medium rare, and cheesecake. The food/flavors were great and steak was cooked perfect. The bonus was old school hip hop playing throughout dinner. Awesome vibe, great food, excellent service!

Cannibale Royale is always on my need to go list while traveling. This Amsterdam steakhouse chain embodies everything I love about steakhouses. Various portion sizes, a variety of sides, and mouthwatering appetizers. They even have great desserts! My favorite is always the l exceptional. It's 600g of pure happiness. The broccoli side is also a regular when I'm ordering. The wines aren't super great in my opinion so I'd get a beer to pair with your meal. Definitely give this royal place a try!

The location of this place is "girls in the window row" at the end of a street were girls in the windows are looking for customers. Very normal theme in Amsterdam. I wasn't expecting it this far away from the "Red District". The place is a pub of sorts very crowded and load, food was OK, servers a little aggressive. Overall I would question the cleanness of the place.

    Great branding.

When you're touristing it up in Amsterdam, it can be hard to find a worthy meal amongst the over-priced restaurants around central station and the Dam. But with the help of Yelp, my hubbie and I hit a meat jackpot. Situated a bit south of the center, Cannibale Royale is just a skip away from a scenic canal and a few red light windows. As soon as we arrived, the waitstaff was attentive and friendly. We posted up outside on an usually warm day in Amsterdam. Good spot for people-watching. I ended up going for the Le Magnifiqué while my better half opted for Le Classique. When our burgers arrived on those oh so trendy wood cutting boards that have invaded European cafes, I was surprised to see they were crafted for height instead of heft. My burger needed a fork and knife for sure. Piles of feta and pickle crowned a delectable, well seasoned petite patty of beef. My husband's burger was a bit larger and topped with bacon. The flavors were superb. My side of fries was a bit small for the four euro price tag. If you want something other than mayo, you'll have to ask for it. They also had a large selection of beers on drafts and a variety of wines. I can't comment on the inside of the restaurant since I never ventured in. But if your peckish on a warm day in Amsterdam, this is a great place to score a bite to eat and enjoy the scenery.

The place has a very cool theme. Kind of morbid, but definitely unique! The service is good, food was ok. Ordered the rib eye, but it isn't your typical rib eye. It's my second time ordering a ribeye in Amsterdam, and both times, they were not your typical ribeyes. No cap, very lean.

The space is really cool, with some neat lit-up signs behind the bar and antique paintings on the ceiling. I tried a few cocktails and they were all tasty. These included the Flying Dutchmen -- their signature cocktail -- and the Umami Margarita. I was a bit hesitant about the Dutchmen because it was with gin and orange, but I liked it a lot. The margarita was unusual with some mushroom dust on the rim. Our server was very friendly and helpful.

Carlota who answered the doorbell, was able to accommodate us at the bar (our preferred seating anyway). She took our coats, placed them in the coat closet up front and led us inside. Once seated, we were given gorgeous ruby red complimentary aperitif (hibiscus, honey, ginger). The drink menu is interesting, based on the concept of growing up, with more basic tastes to start and more mature complex tastes later on in life. (The drinks are more complex the later in the menu). I ordered the Awake at Last, and my husband ordered the Ruby Stone. Mine was sweet and coffee flavored and his was more tart and sour cherry flavored. When I tried his drink, I immediately felt nostalgic because it reminded me of umeboshi (pickled plum in Japanese food), so we ended up trading drinks. Both were great for supping. Sitting at the bar was fun, watching the bartender at his work. He was silent, focused, skilled, professional. So glad we checked it out! I didn't post pictures of the entrance or inside because I'll leave it to you to discover! (The fun of a speakeasy).

We were going on a boat tour that afternoon, to see all the light installations, so we made sure the timing was right to get to Pulitzer's on time! We had a 6:00 reservation, and got there promptly and found the door that we were to enter. The door was locked, but there was a sign that said 'please wait, someone will be with you soon'. Our wait was very short, and someone promptly came, greeted us and took us to our seats at the bar. Because a reservation, I believe is required, (not 200% about that), we were wondering if it would be a bit stuffy. It was not at all, everyone that we spoke to was very friendly, and great service at the bar. There were other couch settings and a few different set ups, but as usual, we love the bar. Our drinks were fabulous and we tried three of their menu items- only have appetizers, but they were very good. In talking to my sister and her husband, after we returned home, who had just been to Amsterdam, I realized that they stayed at the Pulitzer hotel, which we did not know when we were there. They loved the hotel - so I can give a recommendation for that as well. They said all the rooms are different and they really loved their room. I think everyone would really enjoy a stay at the Pulitzer hotel and definitely get a reservation to Pulitzer's bar- you won't be disappointed.
