I would leave a zero if I could. we used the boarding facility with dog training. We told her a dog had anxiety and what we really wanted was training everyday. My dog was taken into the boarding area which is nice enough with heated floors. As our dog was walking through the door her little dogs came charging at him (behind fencing) and Started our dog. Then our dog was put into a kennel surrounded by 3 other kennels and my dog freaked out. So we told her this wasn't going to work and she moved him to the other side of the room which was better for him. I wasn't so sure if this was a good place for him and told her if there was any problems to call us ASAP. We called her later to check in and she said he was fine. When we returned after 7 days we found out he had been stressed all week, had diarrhea and she didn't want him back. I asked her if had had any training or any exercise outside and she said NO. I also asked her why she didn't call us because I don't want my dog going through this - she said oh I didn't think you had anyway to take him!!!! when she knew our other dog was home and we wanted Marley to come stay and get training!!! So our dog was locked up for a week - stressed out . I told her I just want my dog now - when I went in the back he was back into the kennel that was in the middle of all the other dogs - the one that he was moved out of before. I'm guessing she didn't want to walk across the room to feed him. My dog is so messed up right now due to this abuse!!!! Btw the 2 times I was there while all the dogs were stressed (due to her little dogs) she never once tried to console any of them!!! I can't imagine her being a good dog trainer seeing how she treated my dog, or the lack of empathy I saw for the other dogs there. I suppose if you just want your dogs locked in a kennel this is the place to go. read more

I took my pup here to get trained and he has learned a lot! Brenda uses the clicker training which I think is a great tool. I also think that the individual training classes are extremely beneficial. Since there aren't other dogs around, Brenda's able to focus on just my pup and the things he needs to work on. Side note - You'll need to practice everything you learn on your own to see progress!!! read more

We have taken our dog here for boarding many times. Brenda is very caring and soothing to dogs. Our dog loves to see her. We used to live close to Canine Corral, but moved farther away. I toured other boarding facilities closer to our new house. Ugh, they were SO loud and busy. Canine Corral is smaller and more peaceful. Perfect for our aging dog. It's worth the drive to take her there when we travel. read more

While I have only used their boarding service once, that experience was a very good one and I am confident that I will be returning if the need ever arises. I had to travel to the east coast on a short notice. All other dog boarding service providers in the Salem area were booked and could not accommodate. I was fortunate to come across Canine Corral and I can't say enough about their service, ability to accommodate and their good prices. While attending a convention in Salem Brenda accepted our relatively new rescue boy for day care. It worked out so well for us! Having recently rescued him we didn't want to leave him for several days. They were kind enough to adjust their hours to accommodate our convention times so we were only away from him during those hours. We adopted Luke from a local shelter and was told that he was found on the streets. He was shy and genuinely scared of everything. With only a couple of training sessions at Canine Corral he is like a new dog. Brenda is patient and gives Luke the type of attention and training that our special guy needs. Pro: was able to meet for walk through of facility with minimal notice. Con: 1- ridiculed my couple month old puppy on its leash manners as one of the first sentences she said to me and on how to fix it. I didn't ask for an opinion. 2- the facility was essentially a large open space in a house with sporadically arranged cages with dogs in them. 3- The dog will not receive any outside playtime only in the open space which is outside the cages in the this room where the other dogs are barking. 4- The only exposure to the outside was 4x5 gravel area, this is where they dogs go the bathroom. 5- When we walked out there was no effort made on her behalf to sell this place. My dog is friendly towards people and other dogs. He loves everybody. He did not like any part of this walk through. I don't normally write Yelp reviews but was upset with waisting my time and confused in how this won the best in mid valley. We talked nothing of vaccinations, diets, other health information or any specifics about the potential client. Would I leave my dog there? Not currently with its less than ideal facility, poor customer interaction and lack of effort made. read more

We took our puppy to Brenda for obedience classes- she was great! Brenda worked at our pace and we really noticed an improvement in our dog during the progression of the class. The facility was clean and the other staff seemed knowledgeable. read more

I have nothing but great things to say about Brenda, her staff, and the facility. They're knowledgeable, experienced, professional, capable, and true animal lovers. I am thrilled that we finally have a place that we can comfortably leave our precious little fur girl and have no doubts that she is in great hands. The thoughtful and thorough process of familiarizing the staff with my dog and her needs... and familiarizing my dog with them... was very much appreciated. I never once felt that Brenda's main concern and focus was anywhere but on the health, well-being, and happiness of my dog. My little Callie girl, a quirky and sometimes still a bit skittish rescue, isn't always a people lover and can be a little distrustful of humans. When we return to a place or a see a person a second time she makes it very obvious how she felt about the previous experiences. And I get nothing but tail wags and smiles upon arrival at the facility or seeing Brenda... which speaks volumes to me. Highly recommended... I feel blessed to have found this place. read more

Canine Corral is a beautiful facility, run by very caring, dog-savvy professionals. This is the first facility we have ever felt comfortable leaving our dogs with, having always hired in-home petsitters before. We now much prefer boarding with Canine Corral, and it is much less stressful for us, with them there than at home with a petsitter. The dogs are very safe, very well-cared for, and someone is always with them. In addition, they have built-in entertainment, watching the doggy day care groups or the training classes going on in the building. Our dogs love going there, so that makes it an easy decision for us. read more

Brenda and her staff are great. They're well-informed about training methods (Brenda attends conferences to stay up-to-date with best practices in her field), patient with our excitable pup, and conscientious caretakers (they even spend the night in the facility when they have dogs boarding). Her location is a little out of the way, but it's worth the drive for us to know that our dog will be taken care of during her stay. read more

Used to know someone who worked here and it is not a good place. Disinfectant isn't used and the dishes are just washed with hand soap. The floor is washed only with water. Dogs are allowed to play but if they are too loud and if they are, they get put in a crate with a blanket over them for the day. They only get to run maybe once or twice a day for 10 minutes. Not a place I would want to bring my furry family member. read more
