OK I have to say first, that I never even drop my dog off (thank -god) because I only bring him to get his nails done. He gives me a hard time at home so its not worth the trouble. While my dog has never bit anyone, he does growl when I try to do his nails so I figured that it was the best idea to put a muzzle on him at the groomers. The owner agreed and did so. ( The groomer on 43rd ave and thunderbird did not need a muzzle and my dog wasn't fighting him...the atmosphere was peaceful) The issue that I have is that the atmosphere is never peaceful here. Being a professional, I would assume that you have to have a lot of patience with pets. The dogs behavior, in my opinion, is going to be affected by the atmosphere. Every time I bring my dog here (three times in total) his family is always there and its always chaotic. His wife and then two children. Cute kids, but not the place for them. The younger one is very hyper which most kids are at that age. It was stressful for my dog having the kid running around and I promise you that Im not exaggerating, yelling at the top of his lungs!! Just to yell! (Noone corrected him either) My dog was very much affected by this and started squirming around and started to fight Jesse as he was trying to do his nails. I could see him holding my dog very tightly and talking harshly trying to get him to do what he wanted to do and losing his temper with my dog. My dog at one point let out a yelp that told me that Jesse had hurt him. I insisted that the nail trimming was over and Jessee insisted "No, then he wins". There shouldn't be a point where the groomer and the dog are fighting so badly that the groomer says that. Im sorry but there are way too many groomers in town to have to put up with that. Fast forward two days later there are two or three scabs on my dog where he had actually been hurt. Crazy, right?! I am beside myself. I feel like I let my dog down by trusting this guy. I will never bring him here again, especially after reading all of the reviews. (SCARY!!! So sorry for the ladies dog who died!) Jesses number 1 priority while in his shop should be the dog at hand and the other pets waiting. His wife and kids should stay at home, its just bad business if you ask me. At the place we went before, my pups would whine and not leave my side, but when they see Jessie they have no problems with me leaving! Don't come here. They don't be giving the dogs they have waiting in the back water for the 3 or 4 hours that they are there. My dogs had come out very thirsty the last time I took them here. They also cut my huskies fur the wrong way and for some reason my Rottweiler was limping after I got them the last time they got groomed here. I came back the next week to wonder why my dog was limping. They couldn't give me an answer. These people will make you feel like your pets are safe. But I promise you. They don't care for them like they suppose to. My husky and rotty has scabs all over their body cuz they brushed very hard. You don't have to believe what I say but id advice you not to bring them here if you want them to be safe. These people do not care for your dogs read more

Best groomers ever! We took our long haired cat here to get him shaved for the summer. This was his first trip to a groomer ever! The one time I tried, let's just say there was a lot of crying, blood, and an awful haircut. I was worried how Thor was going to act like a brat and was expecting to receive a call that he was so bad they had to stop. That was NOT the case. A couple hours went by and Jesse called informing Thor was done and ready. I was afraid to ask how he was but Jesse said he was great! When we picked him up, they told us Thor was a talker but was very sweet and didn't give them a hard time. Phew! Fast forward to today, I dropped off Thor and our year old German Shepherd, Diesel. I was once again worried because Diesel has not been to the groomer and isn't a fan of the vet (for obvious reasons). I picked up both boys and they looked amazing and in great spirits! Jesse and his wife are amazing with both dogs and cats. They are both very knowledgeable, down to earth and overall good people! My 2 dogs both ended up sick the day after they were groomed here with nausea, lethargy and both ended up very dehydrated. I called and left a message and hoped that they would call me with some input but they never did. One of my dogs ended up hospitalized. It could be a coincidence but it was a very expensive ordeal with all the emergency vet bills. After further review, the peanut butter I was using for their pills at home had palm oil and that is a possibility of what made them sick. I just wish CC would've called me back. read more

Lisa is absolutely amazing with the babies. Since coming to Phoenix 2 years ago, Lisa has been the perfect groomer. She absolutely love Gina, my old Plott Hound and takes such amazing care of her. For Gina's special Christmas Lisa got her a beautiful pink rose cape to help keep her old bones warm. She also got her a beautiful collar with 3 bells on it. Well Gina want much for the bells so we put it on Bellatrix. Belle doesn't mind the bells so that's a good thing. Treat your babies right and have Lisa take amazing care of them. My 4 lb 14 week old Zuchon was dropped off here and was literally dying when I picked him up. I researched multiple groomers and even interviewed over 5 of them. When I met Jesse and his wife I was sure they were going to be my babies groomer. They were clearly dog people and very nice. 4 weeks after meeting them I scheduled my 14 week old zuchon puppies first grooming appointment for 08/12/2021. Stefan saw our family vet at 7 am and he had a clean bill of health. I took him home and he was happy and active. Eating and playing with my other dogs. At 1130 AM I dropped Stefan off with Jesse at Canine Coiffures at 35th Ave and Greenway. When I dropped Stefan off I told Jesse how special he was to me and my family and to be careful with him. I specifically asked him not to put anything around his neck. At 3pm I still had not heard from Jesse so I called to check on Stefan. He told me he fought him and "wore himself out " and was now resting and he was going to finish him up and I could pick him up at 330. When I went to pick him up, Jesse handed him to me. He immediately began coughing and wretching blood from his mouth and nose. Stefan was not resting he was dying quietly on the floor of the groomer. I rushed him to the vet where he was diagnosed with severe pulmonary edema caused by a choking incident. He was transferred to an emergency hospital and was in critical care until he died on 08/15. I have 2 vet reports stating that Stefan died from a choking incident while at the groomer. All other possible causes were ruled out during his hospital stay with documentation. Jesse Has been very kind and he knows and admits that Stefan was coughing blood when I picked him up. He has apologized multiple times. He states he does not know what happened to Stefan. However, he is now refusing to take any accountability and has stopped talking to me. With over 7000.00 dollars in vet bills and 5000.00 I paid for my puppy I nicely asked Jesse to file a claim with his insurance. This was more than 2 weeks after the incident as I wanted to give him time. He wouldn't give me his last name, he wouldn't give me a policy or claim number, and the next thing that happened was his lawyer called us to tell us to file a lawsuit. Because of this response and because I hope and pray that no one has to go through this terrible experience I feel it is important to let dog lovers know that even in a terrible accident this business will not do the right thing. I took my dog, Zephyr, to be groomed by Canine Coiffures. Jessie (not sure of spelling) did a great job with him. He also cleaned his teeth, which I didn't even know was something a groomer would do, and it's massively less expensive at this shop than at the vet (vets usually charge $400+ in my experience, Jessie charges a faction of the price).
