Trip prices cost less than what would be paid on your own and include transportation, lunch, and entry/ticket for the event. Also, the people who work there are professional and thoughtful. If the event is full, you can be placed on a wait list, and someone will call if there is a cancellation. You are missing out on fun and interesting things to do if you fail to check out what is offered.

I also like that the ground is the padded type for two playgrounds and the whole park is fenced in. The park is right off a busy section of 436 in Altamonte so it's a good thing it is fenced in. There are few parking spots next to the playground, otherwise there are more parking spaces if you follow the signs to a separate lot. If you're desperate for a bathroom, you'll still have to get in your car and drive down the street. My suggestion would be Panera or Walgreens.

I appreciate that they have a dedicated smaller playground for younger kids ages 2-5 as well as one for older kids ages 5-12. The gated playground area was very toddler friendly and not too crowded on a Sunday afternoon. My son loves the swings and the slides. The park was clean and well-kept with plenty of shade from the oak trees. Parking was easy and free along the street. This park also has restrooms, picnic tables, tennis courts, and a baseball field. Adding this one into our regular park rotation!

It's great to see that being preserved here in Maitland. The trails are perfect for a walk or short run, with plenty of nature and wildlife to take in. One full lap is about 1/2 mile, so it's better suited for shorter workouts rather than long-distance runs. I'll definitely be back!

They use to have the farmers market here but it got moved to downtown Maitland Overall, the park is clean and safe and great go bring the family for a picnic. The park is well maintained and the playground has been updated in recent years. A major downfall for this playground in the Florida heat is the lack of shade. While the two picnic tables are covered, the playground is not. Thankfully there are some small groups of trees nearby that you could stand under to get some shade. The playground is small and geared towards younger kids.
