The pool is amazing and very large. Because it is so spacious it doesn't ever feel crowded. The zero depth entry for the littles or anyone with issues going up and down stairs is a fantastic design. Entry fee is only $5 per person and isn't limited to just Altamonte springs residents. There are no up charges for non residents either which is great. The pool and playground area is always immaculate and well kept.

Westmonte Park has a lot to offer. They have a baseball field, basketball court, swimming pool, tennis courts and playground. There is plenty of parking and the entire facility is clean. The playground is divided out by age and capabilities. They have lots of equipment and opportunity for imaginary play. There are not a lot of trees to help with the heat and shade so some of the equipment was hot. There was a sign that required everyone to wear a mask but most people elected to keep at least six feet from one another.

Super clean and great facility! Love the tennis courts! Great place to spend some time outdoors

Yay for a new playground, swimming pool, and recreation center!! So glad this place was remodeled and it looks better than ever! But then again i don't know what it looked like before, except for that it was under construction for a while. Worth the wait! This place has a little bit of everything for everyone and a ages. What i like the most about this is that the playground is shaded. Florida doesn't play with its heat and humidity so this is what every playground should have! The pool has a little splash area for the kids, my son approves and absolutely loves it. They offer classes here as well, just check at the front desk for the information and times. Entrance is $5 for everyone, except for kids under 4, they are free. So reasonable and affordable. Forgot the kids life vest? No problem, ask the cashier at check in if you could borrow one. Love that this is so close to me, definitely will be coming here more often!

This park has just about everything: two playgrounds, picnic areas with grills, tennis & basketball courts, baseball/softball fields, meeting rooms, bocce ball, and rentable pavilions. The 25 meter outdoor pool was drained when we visited but I believe they still have their aquatics programs, it was probably just being cleaned. They also have an indoor therapeutic pool and lots of aquatics classes as well as gymnastics and weight lighting! The park is large and has lots of shade thanks to mature trees. As a bonus the park is right next to the Seminole Wekiva Trail. This park would be a great place to pick up the trail where you can head a short distance south to 436 or many miles north towards the Wekiva State Forest. The only bummer is that I heard the pool is for Seminole County Residents only.

The staff is super nice and helpful. Not to mention super cute.

What a place! Nothing like westmonte park! Great staff great people and great wildlife. I literally just a hawk try to eat a squirrel. Raw nature.

Water Aerobics class in session.

Merrill Park seems to be set around baseball and softball fields and the fields are well-kept, as is the whole park. Italso had a pavilion (were I enjoyed my lunch), a children's playground and more. It also had a nice amount of parking. If you are into baseball or softball, this will definitely be up your alley. We need parks a d athletic fields in our communities and Altamonte Springs is lucky to have Merrill Park.

I found out about this park because I came with my wife, our son, and our granddaughter for a playdate. The park is home to the Altamonte Fast Pitch Academy and Babe Ruth Softball. They have three full size softball fields that are used for the softball academy, for Babe Ruth Softball, and you can also use them to practice on as well. Located between the three fields is a concession stand and the restrooms. What I really lived about this park is the three playground areas they have, each playground has their own set of things for kids to play on and a different theme for each area. They also have a swing-set area which includes a swing that you can sit in with your child and be able to swing together. There are also to pavilion areas for you to choose from one is called Oak Pavilion and the other is the Beach Pavilion which has two beach volleyball courts for you to play volleyball on which is a nice touch. Lastly I love the scenery of the park it has lots of great looking trees around the park. So if you are ever in the Altamonte, FL area and you want a nice secluded park to take your family to then I would recommend Merrill Park.

I decided to get my cardio in and the run was amazing with such a pretty view of the lake , ducks, turtles, flowers and a new heron sculpture. One lap around is a mile so after I hit my 3 miles, I sat on the benches located directly on the lake and truly enjoyed the morning sunshine and breeze. There were tons of people getting their cardio on and of all ages which was very ice and I felt very safe. There is a stage area located near the road where live concerts and events take place Monthly. They have a posting area to see all the upcoming events and even have health walks and seminars coming up. Even though this was a bit of a drive for me, I truly enjoyed getting my run in with a new view and will definitely come back again.

There were families taking a walk while others were fishing or having a picnic. A pair of photographers were out taking pictures of the wildlife in and around the park. The park grounds are kept and well maintained. There are plenty of parking spaces available with multiple access points to the park. On our walk, we came across a food truck that was stationed near the park. Culinary Concepts by Chef Pierre offers a variety of food options from burgers, fish sandwiches to shrimp and ribs. Chef Pierre can be found on Thursdays and Fridays at different locations/apartment complexes. We ordered the Fried Fish, French Fries and Coleslaw combo. We did, however, opted out of the French Fries. The Fish was fried golden brown and was crispy. The Coleslaw was fresh and delicious. Chef Pierre and his staff were friendly and welcoming. We have been searching for new parks to frequent since we recently moved to the area. Crane's Roost Park is definitely at the top of our list and now our go to park. We will also keep a look out for Culinary Concepts by Chef Pierre next time we visit Crane's Roost Park.

They're working hard to make this gym very competitive in the Central Florida area and compete with gyms like Orlando Metro. The recreational classes weren't as challenging as I would have liked, but I assume it's hard to find a ton of skilled gymnastics coaches and most of their best coaches are focused on team practices and privates. However, I'd recommend starting with a recreational class to actually gauge your child's interest. If they enjoy it, I'd add on a private lesson to truly help with particular skills. I think Legacy is a great gym to get kids started in competitive gymnastics. We love our three Bronze coaches and I've heard all positive things about Silver, Gold and Level 5 and 6 coaches as well. The only area I see for improvement is the one on one time gymnasts get in practice because there are a lot of girls per level. If you're looking for a ton of one on one coaching, you have to supplement that with private lessons (or find a much smaller/elite gym).
