When I attempted to work this out, the store employee hung up on me. Terrible customer service. Dishonest management. Shop elsewhere. There are plenty of other gift shops nearby.

We are retired law enforcement and small business owners ourselves. I get all the aspects but the approach is ALL wrong. Do better.

Here is an example, one reg cup of coffee and four hot chocolate's = $22.00! Really? I paid it but I didn't give them my business any more. They can laugh once but I'm laughing now. I guess I'm wishing everyone would respect the traveller that spends the time here.

After finishing up at Lolli and Pop, we spotted Balboa Candy right across the street and had to…read morelaugh because we live in Newport and visit the Balboa Candy there all the time. We immediately wondered if it was the same owner and sure enough it is. This Palm Springs spot is their second location and it felt like a little piece of home for us. We could not resist grabbing another bag of candy to support a favorite local shop. They had all the classics we know and love from Newport including the huge variety of house made taffy, baseball chew, and every kind of sour candy you can think of. Everything was fresh and displayed so nicely that it is impossible to walk out empty handed. The staff here are just as friendly as the team back home and the store is spotless and fun for kids and adults alike. Whether you are visiting Palm Springs or a local with a sweet tooth this is an easy recommendation. It is the perfect spot to pick up treats for yourself or to share and it definitely made our anniversary weekend even sweeter.

The place immediately caught our eye. The front window shows a giant teddy bear and the inside is bright, modern, and so well organized that we just had to walk in. Right when you enter there is an entire wall of cotton candy which is my personal favorite. Beyond that there are rows of pastries and macarons, imported sodas and specialty drinks, plus big sections of taffy, jellies, and candies from all over the world. It honestly felt like a candy wonderland. We filled a bag with a mix of everything to celebrate our anniversary weekend and enjoyed it over the next couple of days. Every piece we tried was fresh and delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the store was spotless and beautifully designed. Whoever put the space together clearly cared about every detail because it draws you in the moment you see it. If you have a sweet tooth or just want a fun treat while visiting Palm Springs this is a perfect stop. We left completely happy and will definitely come back next time we are in town.

Our pup definitely likes softer treats (versus hard biscuits), so jerky is a win for us. Customer service was great! Super-friendly guy, and he helped me find what I was looking for. As it was a little overwhelming for me to try and find dog-specific jerky through the inventory they had, he was able to point to the bottom of one shelf for the dog-specific jerky. He also gave me a bit more information on the difference between the dog jerky (basically, no seasoning), and how it was human-grade (humans can eat it without any issues), and how some of his customers go for that type of non-seasoned jerky for health reasons, which is pretty cool. Prices aren't bad. I honestly love the selection he has, and would very likely come back if we've run out of jerky in the home. There's street parking, and there's a parking lot in the back. Honestly, everything in Idyllwild is pretty much in a 0.5 radius, so you can park even slightly away and just enjoy a leisurely stroll through main Idyllwild.

(In addition to writing this review we will be reporting them) We told her this was illegal and she said she didn't care. Additionally as someone who has been to a lot of Amish shops, I can tell you this one is not worth it. Everything is shipped in, not fresh and does not have an actual selection of what Amish eat.
