Initial viewing of the venue was lovely. She showed us around and walked us thru other day so we put down a deposit. Then when I tried to make the second payment (prior to the day it was due) she had no recollection of who I was, the party we were having, what I paid and what I owed. Third and final time I tried to her, I couldn't get her to answer or email back to take payment. After a week, she emailed back and outlined the day again and shortened our time at the venue. Then didn't hear from her until 2 days before the party. Which she then shortened our day another hour AGAIN. Day of the party she neglected to tell me where the broom was, so I asked. That's when she gave me the rudest attitude for no reason. She loudly said we were OVER our time limit. Which was clearly incorrect bc I had proof in the outline SHE SENT ME! Then she refused to send back my deposit even after we cleaned up exactly how she asked. Trash was taken out, tables and floors were swept off. Everything was left exactly how we found it. She was standing at the door of the venue with a leaf blower with her arms crossed tapping her toe in irritation. Over the phone she said it was $500. Then ended up being more like $750. I emailed her twice to get my deposit back... no answer! I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Beautiful venue too, it's a shame management has a stick shoved somewhere.

Not only did we get to have a party here, but we also got to spend the night! Stoked was an understatement. Not only did we get a room, but a majority of my family booked rooms here as well. We had the Peacock room, which was perfect for me considering that blue is my favorite color. Everything was so perfect I hated to mess it up. Our room was very cute and comfortable, and the clawfoot tub in the Architect Suite was amazing. The bed was also very comfortable, and overall the room itself was a lovely place to stay. Unfortunately, there were several issues that made the experience less enjoyable. The elevator was broken during our stay, which was especially inconvenient with heavy luggage. There was also virtually no one in sight for the remainder of our stay--not even at checkout--so when it was time to leave, we had to carry our heavy bags downstairs ourselves. The biggest issue, however, was the lack of communication about construction. Without any warning, the driveways were being repaved during our stay. Because of the construction, we were unable to park at the inn and had to park in an off-site lot and drag our luggage off the property. We were then awakened at 8:00 a.m. by extremely loud construction equipment right outside our room. None of this was disclosed when we booked, nor were we notified before arrival. Had we known that major construction would be taking place during our stay, we would have had the opportunity to cancel or make different arrangements. There was also no offer of compensation for the disruption. I really wanted to love this little inn because the room itself was charming and the bed and tub were wonderful. With better communication and attention to the guest experience--especially when major construction is planned--I think this could be a much better stay.

Plenty of beverages offered throughout the stay. Parking was a little less than desirable as you weren't allowed to park in the street so the car must be pulled into the drive after a certain point. A nuisance but nothing major. Refreshments were offered with lemonade being at the top of the list multiple times. Fresh clean, lion print sheets on the bed, and the blanket provided was just the right thickness. A diffuser was present in the room, and I will say it seemed to run almost all night which was pleasant. The house was not overly cool or warm, like goldilocks it was just right. One aunt was noticed walked aimlessly around the kitchen floor. It was solo and lost so I can't ding the accommodations too much for just one aunt. The cat Ron that was present was stand offish at first but them was happily quivering her tail all morning which provided for a pleasant atmosphere. Breakfast was offered and was cooked well enough. Entertainment for the rest of the afternoon was pleasant as there was scary movies and plenty of reruns of the hills playing. I give 4/5 stars and absolutely would stay again.

Time for our Union's annual clambake! One of our business agents is a member of the club. He is…read moreable to secure the club for our event. Plenty of parking and plenty to do here on the grounds. There are many regulation bacci courts, a volleyball court, corn hole boards, a gazebo, a large pavilion and a playground for kids outside. Plenty of picnic tables and some bleachers to watch the bacci courts. The club is kept up nicely and it doesn't look run down one bit. I know a lot of other clubs and halls just aren't what they used to be but, The I and A club is still nice after all of this time.

Spent money on redoing bunkers but they don't even maintain them. They could care less about the golf course. All they care about are hosting events. This place has become a venue that just happens to have a golf course. The outside staff are pitiful, not friendly and no nothing about taking care of golfers. its a shame what this course has turned into.
