The amenities are a bit lost on me but the lobby, pool and gym all looked incredible to me. But most importantly the room was quiet and incredibly comfortable.

The Aloft Cleveland Beachwood was clean, the staff was friendly, and while it wasn't the Chicago Aloft, I would definitely return to this location. Upon arrival, I checked in and was placed on the second floor, where I found my room with ease. I then decided to head downstairs around 9:20pm to sit by the pool (as I was told the pool was open until 10 & the gym is 24 hr), but when I tried the doors to the gym and pool area, they seemed to be locked. I sat in the courtyard instead and browsed online for some dinner (see Agave & Rye). I wasn't super impressed with the decor of the room, it felt very much like an 8 year old's superhero bedroom, but I can't deny that the hotel as a whole felt very clean and I appreciated that I had a mini fridge in the room. It seems mini fridges are becoming less and less common in hotels, so I'm always relieved when one is provided. I was only in town for one night, and while I was disappointed that I didn't get to use the pool or the gym due to the doors being locked, I was happy to have a clean room and a comfy bed to sleep in. *I loved the pool table and hot cocoa bar in the lobby! I think it's so important that hotels provide guests with a space to socialize and engage with one another.

After a quick overnight stay during a recent business trip to Cleveland, our team made our way down just before breakfast wrapped up. Service runs from 6:30-9:30 AM, and we slid in at about 9:15 AM, right as things were winding down. Only one other guest was finishing up, so the breakfast rush had clearly passed. The star of the show here is always the made-to-order omelet station. I went with a veggie omelet and added diced ham, and it turned out exactly how you want an omelet to be--fresh, fluffy, and cooked perfectly. The hot bar still had a few options available. I skipped the bacon and sausage this time but grabbed some breakfast potatoes. Unfortunately, arriving near the end of service meant they had cooled down a bit. I also grabbed an English muffin and ran it through the toaster twice to get it just right. Mission accomplished--crispy on the outside and warm inside. The fruit selection was simple--mostly cantaloupe and honeydew--but still a nice lighter option to round out breakfast. The only real drawback during our stay was that the air conditioning in our room wasn't functioning properly, which made the room a little uncomfortable overnight. Still, if you've stayed at Embassy Suites before, you know the breakfast alone is a solid perk, and the omelet station continues to be the highlight. Tip: If you want the hottest food options, arrive earlier in the breakfast window.

I recently stayed here for a few nights. I unfortunately did not have a choice when booking this…read morehotel since this was decided by my company that I'd be staying here and I saw all the reviews prior so I was a little hesitant about staying here a few nights. What I can't say about the positives is that this place is really huge and it looks aesthetically pleasing inside like you're inside of a cool hotel stuck in the 1980s. The rooms are also huge too compared to most hotel rooms I've been at. Bigger than most 1 bedroom apartments. The breakfast here is free and a offer a lot of great stuff such as : bacon, French toast, scrambled eggs, there's a chef on site. The cons of this hotel are mainly the furniture in the rooms. They're old and outdated! Some of the furnishings don't exist like missing blinds in my room. There's a random chair in the living room upon entering my room. There was a leak from the ceiling in the area where people have breakfast at. Half of the doors to enter the building do not work. Half of these rooms are actually abandoned and they have taped up Windows so it feels like you're at some sketchy Red Roof Inn. Broken elevator. Again with the strange Hotel Choice I thought it was weird that they have actual mulch on the ground floor and it's basically being bordered by carpet next to it. Another thing I thought I was weird was seeing all these big lights in the main lobby as if you're like a guardsman watching prisoners from above. Even the pool is taped off too and shielded from view. Overall, this is not the worst hotel i've stayed at but it could have been better. Especially after seeing how much they were charging for a night here as well you should be getting more for your money's worth truthfully.

Our rooms were luxurious and comfortable, and obviously meticulously cared for. Genevieve served us a decadent, made to order breakfast (including her wonderful homemade scones!). I have stayed in village hostels outside of America and this is the only thing I can compare it to. I felt much more like a family friend than a guest or customer. The hosts were very flexible with my check-in time and really went out of their way to accommodate my needs. The house is 167 years old and in awesome condition. Plumbing and lighting is all in perfect working order. You get plenty of personal space and access to several common areas. Free wifi was pretty fast. There were complimentary beverages, snacks, cookies, chocolates (CHOCOLATES!), and breakfast made to order. Wooster is small, charming, yet pretty hip town. There are several good places to eat within walking distance and the locals are were happy to show me around. This was in winter, probably the dead season, but I really enjoyed my stay. When you include the amenities, the stay greatly exceeded expectations when it comes to value. Highly recommend staying here and I'd return in a heart-beat!
