I go every year to see the Captains play. I took a few photos for updated concession prices. $10 parking across the street (up from $8 last year). 3 chicken tenders and a handful of fries are $12; they changed out the tenders so they are more like smooshy chicken breast cutlets. I love chicken tenders, but was not a fan; they were not crispy and breading was falling off which stinks because theirs was so good last year. Jumbotron does not work so 7 inning stretch and side games were not to be seen. No games on the field (like ketchup and mustard race), no t-shirts thrown out during the 7th inning. Disappointed for the first game of the season. But even with those issues, I love going just for a cheaper baseball atmosphere (vs guardians). You still need a clear backpack if you want to bring in a purse size, but diaper bags are allowed. read more

Tonight is Bring your dog night. Three businesses are set up to give away pet stuff. Water bowls are plentiful. This ballpark is fun. The announcer is enthusiastic. I've never seen a lot of fans here, so you don't need to come early to get good parking. The fans here do wear Lake Captains t-shirts. There seems to be some regulars because the announcer calls out their names before the game, and everybody waves. Check out the ball game for family fun. The chicken tenders are the best. read more

Another great option if you enjoy baseball and want to see possible future major league players. The stadium is nicely laid out and easy to navigate. Very standard food concessions, burgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers. The MC was full of energy and very engaged with the crowd. read more

Take me out to the ball game, take me out with the crowd. Buy me some peanuts and $9 box seat tickets.... wait.. $9 for box seat tickets? And it's cheaper on some nights too. This is the perfect solution if you're looking for a fun activity on a weekend. Cheap seats, more involved games, a kids bouncy section, cheap food and you can even sit on the lawn for like $7? I truly love going to these games. Kids love it. You can catch a ton of foul balls and they get you way more involved in this smaller, more intimate stadium. Another plus, the beers aren't $10 a piece! Parking is easy as pie and they always have some sort of deal going on or something super fun. I can't wait to come back on a Tuesday and bring my pup, Archie for Bark in the Park. Did I mention that the Lake County Captains were the 2010 Midwest League Champions? A fun day to spend Labor Day with some good friends! This stadium and team is very family friendly and is very clean. Compared to other local baseball stadiums there are plenty of snack bars and restrooms and people are actively cleaning the bleachers. They include fun games for children and adolescents to participate in between innings for some great prices and also have a 50/50 raffle too. They serve wine and beer for those of us of age which is nice too! They also have local people perform the National Anthem which is a great way to showcase the talent of our community! read more

It's Baseball, what's not to love!! Food is good, relatively cheap, but 5 Star Hot Dogs Baby!! Beer options are great. There is a "Beers from around the world stand" that I love and the Castaway Bar serves large tap beer until the end of the game! Seating allows for partial to full sun and the same goes for shade. You can buy a general admission ticket and bring a blanket for the lawn if you would like. Ambiance has a little for everyone. Kids play area with blow up games, on field activities, and promotions happening all the time. Parking is cheap at $5. I park in the first lot available off of SOM on the same side of the stadium because of the stroller factor, but the across lot is just fine, walk is not that bad. Okay, truth be told, I've never been a baseball fan, but the Captains make baseball more fun and engaging than I've ever seen! The stadium, located off of Rt. 91 in Lakewood, is large, well kept and has a TON of great concessions vendors, a great gift shop, and during the game, there are a variety of events, from races (of a variety of...creatures:) and raffles and games. The baseball is usually really great and you get see the farm teams of a whole variety of cities and perhaps get a glimpse of stars to come! Another great element of Captains games is THEME NIGHTS! Patty and I went to "Star Wars" night, and also got free pairs of Captains Socks! Oh, and did I mention, just about every Friday and Saturday, FIREWORKS! Parking is usually about 5 dollars, and a bridge ferries folks across 91 to the stadium, and they have closer parking for season ticket holders and special needs folks who need to park closer. So, I have to say, when it comes to baseball, my alliegence is to these Captains, now and forever:) read more

One of the friendliest stadiums that I have ever been to and I have been to a lot. The specialized guy who talks to the crowd is awesome. The mascot went around to all the fans before the game and made sure that everyone had a smile on their faces. They care so much about their fans. Just a really great experience and only 20 minutes from Cleveland. Very east to get to. I went on Irish heritage night which was great. They had Irish line dancing before the game and during the innings. They also sang the national anthems of both Ireland and the United States. I even got a picture of myself with a blown up Irishman. I think they cater to the fan maybe more than any other stadium I have ever gone to which is amazing. I would go there again just to see a game even if I weren't an agent. read more

My Boyfriend and I went to our 1st Lake County Captains Single A baseball game. The stadium has many concession vendors. I ordered a Pear Cider and it was $6 and my Boyfriend ordered a Long Island Ice Tea for $8 and he said his drink was good. The baseball field and seats are average and more comfortable than some. Anywhere you sit in the stadium you have a good view of the field. Tickets are more affordable. Fireworks display on Fri, Sat, Sun. games. We met nice people and had fun. read more

Love it here! It's a smaller stadium, so the crowd isn't as large as the Indians, and there isn't a bad seat in the place! Not to mention the tickets are cheap! All the people there are friendly, and so many activities for kids of all ages. Awesome! read more

Captain's games are enjoyable. There is not a bad seat in the ballpark. The level of play is better than I anticipated coming from a Class A league. The concession stands offer a good variety of items. My buddy was happy with the wide selection of beer. For baseball fans, Minor League games are a more affordable option than going to Major League games. read more
