We enjoyed moon light bowling. It was 2 hours of black light bowling with music. The snack bar was all fried food which was a bit disappointing. They did have a bar with decent options to choose from. read more

I truly didn't find this place as horrifying as some of the other commenters. It's an older bowling alley but the computers worked the music was a good mix of today's hits and the workers were friendly. We found a coupon online so that was awesome! They read it off of my phone rather than having to print it off like most other places. They also offer a Dino bowling ramp rental so my two year old could have fun as well and he LOVED it. We will definitely be returning for more family fun. read more

Please hit this bowling alley with some renovations! I know it's probably a "back in time" nostalgic feeling for some locals, but the thing is... the lanes have poles on either side which is truly distracting. The balls have dents larger than the craters in the moon. It surely doesn't make for a smooth toss down the lane. The bar and the snack area were so out of touch with the times that it truly deterred me from ordering anything. I mean, come on, I get it. Bowling alleys aren't supposed to be classy and sparkling clean. You expect a little je ne sais quoi, because it adds character, right? Usually. This time I just think a few quick updates (rather than into the modern video games lining the walls) would do some good. If you're going old school, can we get a Ms. Pac Man or Galaga machine to really make this appropriate. The mix of old school but modern gaming is simply confusing! This is a wonderful place to bowl. It is clean, has electronic scoring, decent food and extremely friendly and accommodating management. It is well lit, good supply of cleaning and new bowling shoes and good ball selection. We have our church bowling league there on the first and third Tuesday and feel very welcomed. read more

Offers the bare minimum in bowling. The minimal food they do serve looks like a toxic stew of sorts. Some of the computers are broken and go unfixed. House balls are in pretty bad shape with a limited selection. To sum it up you probably shouldn't go bowling here unless you live very close or you are in your early teen years and bored to tears. It's fun, it's competitive, it's silly... They have a full bar with huge yard high draft beers and everything is super cheap. (the wine, not so good, but whatev) The food isn't anything exciting, but it's also cheap and sometimes it's fun to just chow on some frozen fries and other junk. I love Fairview Lanes for our annual New Year's Eve family outing. We've been going there well over 10 years, and always book two lanes for this NYE tradition. The customer service is always awesome, and that includes prior to the event. They ALWAYS call me around Thanksgiving to ask if we are interested in making a reservation the upcoming NYE, and they ALWAYS follow up prior to the event to confirm. At the 7-9pm session, we get all-you-can-eat standard fare: Hot Dogs (with chili!), Pizza, Nachos, and this year they added rigatoni (It was awesome!). They pass out noise makers and hats, do a pseudo-countdown, and pass out ice cream sandwiches to all. They also play family friendly music/videos during the event. Free soft drinks are also provided for the duration of the session, and for $100 a lane, you can't beat it. I love that they go out of their way to make it easy for their customers and that is why we stay loyal to Fairview Lanes, even though we hardly ever bowl outside of NYE. We just can't imagine our New Years Eve without Fairview Lanes. read more

The staff is rude and they were too overwhelmed to be helpful. We had our son's birthday party here. We paid for 34 people (14 kids, two of the parents party package and also paid for 6 adults to bowl on a lane) and they gave us seating for 16 people. We had nowhere for the guests to sit, we had to keep asking for plates etc. A lot of guests had to stand and people ended up leaving early. When we complained, they lied on yelp with their response to my husband. When my mom ordered a drink from the bar, the woman working looked at her, then turned around and walked away. When we complained, they had the nerve to say I was the only one who had a bad time. I guess I'm going to have all my friends and family who complained to me about the party write reviews to show we aren't lying. They also said "if the kids had fun, that's all that should matter, right?" Wrong. You can go lots of places to have your child's birthday party for a few hundred dollars and not have the staff treat you like garbage. I've been bowling at Fairview lanes my entire life. My parents ran a date night league there in the 90's. I've bowled in leagues there. My brothers bowled in leagues there. I've hosted birthday parties there. I've been to countless parties there-- NEVER was the staff so rude as they were at my son's party. My family kept saying "what happened to Fairview lanes? We loved it here." I can say never again will anyone from my family bowl there again after the party. It was so bad. My husband was busy chasing around our 1 year old at our 6 year old's party. He didn't have time to notice the chaos including the lack of seating or a place to put our cake, food etc. and he left for a period of time with the baby. I was so put off by the staff being rude to me and my guests that I sent my husband to the desk to pay because I didn't want to go near them. Because we were hosting a chaotic party, I didn't have time to tell him NOT to tip or what happened and because we are nice people, we tip. He tipped $40 not realizing what happened. After we left and my family and I told him about the disaster, he called to get the tip refunded. They said if he took down the review they would refund our tip. Then they responded to his review with all lies. Fairview Lanes, you can keep the $40 you didn't deserve and we will keep our review up. I would say to people reading this review- you should have your kid's party there if you don't mind being crammed between 5 other parties, don't mind not hearing the singing of happy birthday and enjoy a rude staff who makes you feel like you are crazy to ask for a place to put the pizza. Oh also, great grandma couldn't come because she's in a wheelchair and it's not handicapped accessible so keep that in mind. read more

Went there today for my grandson's 8th birthday. The kids had loads of fun playing glow in the dark bowling. Of course kids will be kids, so after the ice cream cake and the sugar high kicked in the place became a place for a huge game of tag. The people there are really laid back, so no one objected. After everyone else left my three grandchildren were still going strong. We were not made to feel as though we were in the way or needed to clear out. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a child's party. Just an additional note. I saw a post from Alliemarie that gave this place one star. I don't think it's fair to blame the business for being in a basement. There are exceptions to the laws that make businesses be handicap accessible. If you have a problem with this then you need to take it up with the company that owns the stores, not the people that simply rent the space. read more

After tonight, I will not bowl here again. They had a special for 6 to 8:30 bowl all you want. My son and I got there about 10 minutes before six and we're rudely told to take a seat. Then we were the second folks in line and this rude women told us that she had no lanes. How is that possible? I checked the website twice and it said nothing about reservations for this event. I've been living in this area for the past 15 years or so, and had no idea that a bowling alley existed here! The place is underground, and has about 15 to 20 lanes, with a small unassuming entrance. Great place for children's birthday parties. I recently attended one here, and a great time was had by all. The place is modern, clean, and has a good staff. The scoring system was excellent, and they had great video music screens as well. My only complaint was that the 'bumpers' for kid's bowling at times malfunctioned and closed up, which meant that many kids got upset when they bowled gutter balls. The staff needs to be more attentive to this issue, and get it resolved. That said, we will be back to book a kid's party for our 6 year old in the coming months. read more

Really one of the worst bowling places you can go to. The snack bar is filled with very bad food, and the alley itself could not be in worse shape. If possible, find another place in your area. The staff are very rude, always looking like it is a chore to serve you. The balls are very worn out, and the computers are old. When I asked for a water at the supposed snack bar, I was rudely told it was a quarter for water, and directed to an old drinking fountain in the corner. I then asked for a cup to put the water in from the drinking fountain, only to be told again I would have to pay $0.25 for a styrofoam cup. It's cheap, but not cheap enough. I will never go back here again. My boyfriend and I bought three games. They treated us terrible. They made us move after 2 games to get "ready for their leagues" (which didn't start til at least one hour later) We had to move everything to another lane for our 3rd game. (Which didn't even start til well after our 3rd game was over) Then we finished our third game on a new lane- to which we bowled a fast game. Someone ELSE kicked us out and said we have to leave. I spoke with someone at the front desk..no manager...they just blamed the person that worked the day shift. We paid money, gave you guys service...even had a drink (which took forever to receive because the bartenders were too busy chatting with each other to actually serve customers)...and still had terrible service. Will never be back..which is sad because we finally felt comfortable going out and having a fun night outside of Covid. Will never be back ever. read more

I attended a children's birthday party here. We all had a good time, everything worked and the place was clean. Staff was very attentive to the occasional stuck ball (5-6 year olds bowling). If I could rate Fairview Lanes zero stars if I could. From the moment we walked in with 6 adults and 9 kids to have a fun evening, we were treated with rudeness and disrespect by two of the staff members. The person working the snack bar was rude and called one of our guests a f'ing b**** to another staff member when she could clearly hear it. This was because she had taken cups for the lemonade we ordered for our children. She did not take them maliciously, just to write their names on the cups. We had brought donuts in for a birthday and we were very compliant with not eating them once we found out outside food was not permitted. We followed these rules as the staff continued to talk about us the whole time we bowled. We brought our donuts to the upstairs atrium as we were leaving and ate our donuts by the door. We got yelled at by another staff member telling us we could potentially make a mess. It was not until then that we got upset and pushed back. We were told that "people in the world are dying and you are yelling at me." We didn't even yell. We simply said we had poor service and we would not be back. We spent over $200 collectively during the evening on food and drinks and we were berated in front of our children for eating donuts. It was honestly the most awful experience and as a group we agree we have never been treated more poorly. Do not visit this establishment unless you want to be made to feel uncomfortable the entire time. Bay Lanes is a much better option! read more

It is a very small place yet comfortable and have good deals, thats the reason why we always went here. But not any more after the last time we were there. After they closed and we got ready to leave, the person asked my husband to put all the chairs and tables in place. really? thats rude.. We were like 2 people and we had hardly moved anything around. And isnt it your job after everyone has left. Poor customer service. And if we did move 2 chairs like 2 inches in the front we only did that so that we could actually be able to view the lanes and play in that very cramped crazy place !! NEVER AGAIN. Yesterday was our son's 6th birthday party and it was a nightmare. It cost us several hundred dollars. My was supposed to get a shirt as his gift. Well they were out of the normal kids sizes and were like "oh well." They gave us seating for 12 people when I paid for 35 guests. They gave me an attitude when I asked for more seating. They gave us one table for our gifts, gift bags, cake, and food. The gifts ended up on the floor. There was no table for the pizza we paid for. When I asked them where we were supposed to put the pizza, I got the biggest attitude from the staff. I literally had to ask my guests to stand up and take away one of the few tables we had to put a stack of pizza boxes on it. The staff was incredibly rude the entire time. They gave us 8 forks for our guests and a few plates and napkins. We had to ask 4 times for more plates. Luckily I brought our own utensils. There were at least four other birthday parties going on simultaneously and the other parties had two tables for their cake and food and when I asked why we only had one, the guy working there flipped out on me. We were crammed in between two other parties and the people from the other parties were leaning on our food table and eating our food. A few of my guests had to stand the entire time and people ended up leaving early because it was such a disaster. I can't stress enough how rude the staff was and how they made us feel like we were bothering them by asking for seating, a place for the food and plates and utensils. Also, try singing happy birthday to your son while music is blaring over the speakers. It was a horrible party. It was expensive and a complete waste of money. They must have new owners or something because we had his 3rd and 4th birthday parties here and they were great. Don't waste your money on it. You will have a terrible experience. read more
