I am only giving one star, because 0 stars wasn't an option. 1. Escape Room was fun and delightful. 2. That awful restaurant was HORRIBLE. So we booked two escape rooms. We decided to get something to eat in between excursions. The staff was beyond slow. The food was cold. One of the waiters was scared of the kitchen staff. I think she is being abused by the awful kitchen staff. I think she needs help. We ordered a chicken philly. It was cold, and I have seen more meat on a steakum. There was no peppers.....just very little meat and cold cheese. Mozzarella sticks were lukewarm warm and the sauce tasted like tomato paste and dirt. The fries tasted like they were cooked last week in last year's grease. I hope I don't get food poisoning. The appetizers came out with the entrees and were cold. Please choose to eat else. McDonald's has a better staff and food! read more

Unfortunately I am not a fan of the updates made here. My husband and I went here on a Friday night to bowl and couldn't believe how different it was. The lanes were cut down to about 1/3 of what they had and the prices were crazy. I like a good old fashion bowling alley, too many bells and whistles here now. WILL NOT ACCOMMODATE SEVERE FOOD ALLERGY NOR RETURN CALLS Sent my teen and her friends to their escape room for her birthday last year . It wasn't cheap. The game malfunctioned and they didn't help the group, give them more time, or refund any of my money. The teens were disappointed. I wasn't there ( they were mostly all 18 years old) or I would have asked for them to get to do another room. Fast forward to the last week. Family wants to go bowl Friday after thanksgiving. I was willing to give them another shot bc we have family in a wheelchair and I know the chair can get around this building. I have been leaving messages for the over a week to ask the general manager if we could bring in a cake or cupcakes for 10 people if we booked lanes. We have someone in our party with severe food allergies. The rest of us would order food from the menu. I called for the third day in a row and the manager finally called the GM's cell only for him to say he won't allow us to bring in any outside food. Allergy or not. This should not be an issue and it should not have taken 8 days of voicemails and calls during business hours to get this answer. I would not give this establishment your money. Went to a surprise 60th birthday party here and when I first walked I was thinking this is gonna be a good time! The place was decorated amazing and was very clean. That's where it ended. The bar staff was unbelievable rude at first. Our party had a separate room and bartender but that bar wasn't open when we first got there. We tried ordering drinks at the main bar and weren't acknowledged at all. When the bartender began getting drinks from the enclosed patio area, she had to keep running back and forth between inside and out to get beers. What is the point of renting out a space and paying for a private bartender when the bar isn't set up for service? I worked in the restaurant and catering business for many many years and I tend to give grace when others wouldn't. This was a mess. They should never have rented a room that wasn't fully functional and not able to provide service appropriately. We all moved inside after realizing it might be easier for everyone to order at the bar she had to keep running to. At the end of the night we got our tab and my husband paid with card and selected no tip and left cash. Well to our surprise 20% gratuity was added at some point. Which he did not sign for that amount. The bar staff never told anyone gratuity is already included. They just smiled and thanked us for the cash tip. When question the next day, it was told that the party was getting 20% added to checks. To add insult to injury we spoke with our friend who rented the room out and he said he already paid 20% gratuity on the party as a service charge and paid for a private bartender!!! They never brought out the second round of food but instead the staff took it home even after they made it known they would be taking home anything left over from the party. We have called now 3 times about the additional gratuity added to the check but have yet to receiver a call back from management. read more

Breakfast with Santa was definitely a hit. They had a nice spread in the breakfast buffet with eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles and fruit. Juice and coffee bar with bar tender serving any adult drinks. Hostess greeting at the door to your assigned table and waiter going around checking in on you. Great Santa who interacted well with the kids and played the role quite well. Beautiful holiday set up, along with plenty of things to do like decorating your own cookie, they had coloring sheets for the kids, $5 arcade card made it all worth it. I wish we had time to stay and bowl but we had other plans. However I do highly recommend you check out their bowling area, it was huge with lots of lanes as well as their escape room. The bar by our lane shut down so we had to wait at the other bar for nearly 10 minutes to get served while the clock was ticking on our lane. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!! When me and my dad first got there it looked fun (I WAS WRONG) when we walk up to the place where you buy a land the prices are very high and after we ordered the food took 30-40 minutes to come out and somehow it takes 10 minutes for a refill of you drink to come out (and by the way we were the only ones where the place where you order the food is!!!!) and once the food came out it looked and tasted really good but after that we went to go by a lane and they said that there wasn't any lanes open next to each other of me and my dad but when I went to the bathroom there was TWO LANES OPEN NEXT TO EACH OTHER!!! And when we bought the lane the lady took forever to give me my shoes to go bowling and when we got to are lanes we played a game and they said the the desk that they was 6 pound bowling balls but there was none to be found and after are first game I had to go back up the the front desk because it wasn't letting us play are next game and we played a few games after that and I noticed the floor is kinda slippery but I shook it of my mind intill I slipped and hurt my knee I was in unbelievable pain in my knee and I was forced to go home and I didn't get to play the 2 hour pay that I payed for $60!!!!! Too many mangers that do absolutely nothing while people sit and wait. I have worked in Food Service for several years, when staff is short a manager should jump in to support their staff. They seem to reward employees that are useless and remove the good employees ! We come in often and one particular manager is rude, not only to his staff but with customers as well! Great for groups gathering. This is a huge newer venue in the area. They have a fab party room with private bowling lanes and its own bar. Public area is HUGE. Electronic gaming area complete with prize shop. Public bowling lanes. They are finishing up a soon to be Escape Room that looks incredible. It will have its own comfy waiting area with cozy couches and lounge chairs. Large bar area is great to watch your fave sporting event on a big screen. We had slider burgers and pizza. Both were great. No table wait staff. Order at the bar and the kitchen brings it out. Only reason for four stars is that it was pretty cold inside. I think they are still working on HVAC so maybe will improve. It is a big warehouse style which is hard to beat but kind of uncomfortable. Garage doors and patio area for warmer weather. Had a bowling tournament at this location. We arrived at 10am and the tournament started at 11am. I asked the staff if they served food and they told me the kitchen was not open and would not open for a while but I could get McDonald's. I go bring the food back and am immediately told by another staff member I could not bring the food in because they serve food and they are a business. Yes, you are a business. Which we are patrons of as we are bowling and I got the kids game cards. I understand the policy when it makes since to enforce it. Having a closed kitchen and hosting events were people have to be inside the building is does not make since. There is no reason to be rude about the situation either which they were. Your kitchen is closed and it was the staff suggestion. Either open the kitchen to accommodate patrons or allow outside food and drink during times your kitchen is closed. Don't be rude. read more

One of the worst experiences I've ever had in a public setting. We went to open bowl on Sunday - there were some gentlemen 2 lanes over from us that were upset because we weren't following proper l "etiquette". Mind you, this is open bowl with many kids and non professionals. They harrassed us multiple times and even got in our faces yelling at us. As we were about to leave they harassed a grandma and her grandchildren that were in the lane between us. The grandmother got so upset that she called the police. Roll house didn't make the gentlemen leave and instead just moved the grandma and kids to another lane. We are all so upset and disappointed with the outcome. They ruined the day for 2 families and now we are afraid to go back. read more

Extremely rude. Our organization has had an event at these lanes for 20 plus years (when it was well run by Buckeye). I noticed the renovations being done and asked the 5 people at the front desk if they were going to be able to accommodate us. None of them had a clue what was happening. I then called. The guy whom I spoke with basically told me there was no record of us even being on the schedule and told us there was nothing that could be done. Solid bowling alley, just a bit strange when it comes to the pricing.... Tried to bowl last night but they were charging 25 bucks an hour instead of by the game, it's just me.... And i just wanted to bowl 3 or 4 games.... But understandable it's a Friday night and it's cosmic bowling.... So i come back the next afternoon.. it's 1p and try to get 3 games... and it's still cosmic bowling at 1pm and $25 hour and can't pay per game..... i really wish i called and asked this before i drove out here so ultimately it's on me..... definitely an inconvenience though... mind you 85% of the lanes are open cause it's so early.... read more

Every time I have been on a league they offer 2 free games a week. (at AMF they gave us the league rate for a friend and they let us bowl for 2 dollars a game after our free games) At this location or at AMF. Now they do not allow 2 free games a week and they charge more for the league. It was 15 dollars per per week for two people (youth/adult league) but now it is 16 a week. 2 free games a week before they renovate. no free games this year. AMF leagues still offer free games for the leagues. Why not offer free games to the league bowlers? Its not like anyone is bowling there anyway. read more

We booked for their New Year Eve event. It was horrible from the beginning. Their bar service was a complete mess and front desk staff that was checking in, except Ann, were rude and unprofessional. The only upside was the amazing arcade. But, when we went to turn in our tickets at 8:15pm, they had already closed the prize shop. We have been to Rollhouse (different location) many times for their New Year Eve celebrations and unfortunately we will not be returning. read more

Stopped by Buckeye Lanes with the extended family recently for some bowling. Well, the wives and kids bowled while the hubbies played pool. The place could use a little cleaning and/or renovation, but we still had fun. The bowling on a Friday evening wasn't that expensive and the kids bowled two games. I thought the selection of bowling balls available was limited. I couldn't find one of the weight I wanted. Otherwise, bowling was fine. The lane also offers a large number of pools tables. We played a few games before bowling which was fun. Overall the place is just really old. It needed a face lift about 15 years ago to keep up with the times. It's been many years since my family has been on a league and we were very excited to join one at the old Buckeye lanes. Unfortunately this new Rollhouse conglomerate does not care about the bowlers. During league play the lanes have broken and we have had to move to other lanes, and the beleaguered staff has had to put up with irate patrons because sometimes they have no food other times which happens often their registers do no work for food and beverage. At the end of the night you are told they can't run a credit card and you have to pay cash...this is outrageous. Best of all they gave you a gift card to use but put an expiration date on it for two weeks. My team waited for me to come back from surgery to use the gift card and was told nope after an entire season of spending a lot of money for food and drinks. Oh and then one day we came and our lockers had been closed and our bowling balls were at the desk. They graciously allowed us other lockers in the hallway which is always blocked by the men's leagues so thanks. Down to one one bathroom and I'm wondering perhaps construction could be done during off league time? Seriously what is the end game? I thought the idea was to get and keep customers not antagonize them! read more

I feel the prices are too high! There are many league bowlers who spend a lot of money at Rollhouse, who enjoy coming in to practice quite often, but now due to the new policy on the weekend of having to pay an expensive hourly fee for just one hour is insulting! Now league bowlers go elsewhere and pay no hourly rate, who actually respect the serious or semiserious bowlers who are dedicated to practice. RHNO needs to welcome these bowlers, and allow them to pay the league rate. Many other people fell the same way. Don't lose your regulars!! The other issue is, the only place to see Roll house saying A Great Bowling Alley, is nowhere except for a couple of bowling pin pictures located on the street sign! I really like Roll House, it's classy with many wonderful features. It's a beautiful place, and the lanes are well maintained. I hope that the powers that be, will understand that your regulars would love to return on the weekends to practice, without the VERY expensive hourly rate, and spend money. Thank you read more

Was happy with service initially. Then was put next to a party of 15, 5 adults, 10 children. The person behind the counter said that it was okay because the parents didn't have full time custody of their children. As a single mother with parenting, neither do I. Per the lane's guidelines, only 6 to a lane. They were not within the distance for lanes. Decided to leave, as this was disgusting, and above 10 in a party as REQUIRED by Mike Dewine. Asked for a refund. Was told, that as per their disclaimer, no refunds, yet the disclaimer said no more than 6 on a lane. Don't bother taking your children there if you are concerned about safety, or your own. read more

I have bowled for nearly 10 years at this establishment and have looked at many of the reviews making critical statements primarily about the people and service at these lanes by the employees. I have not once experienced the type of negativity pointed out. I have always been treated well, enjoy the food the people and the atmosphere and a great pro shop. My friend was trying to get a water and the ladies cutter off to finish their conversation. It took them a long time to talk to us. The same thing happened when we were trying to get a lane. It's clear their employees don't know how to use their software because they keep calling management over to help them. Stopped in with the kids and had a good time today! They have tiny shoes for my 6 year olds feet, as well as small balls 6,7, and 8 lbs. I had a coupon so for bowling for two adults and four kids we got a great price! They have a snack area with all kinds of food, lays chips, candy, snacks, homemade cookies, popcorn, nachos, etc. we got the soft pretzels and fries to share, and a pitcher of lemonade. Service was good and lady was super nice! There are a couple of videogames, a couple pinball machines and what looks like a bowling store- for those interested in leagues they have them! Also nice restrooms, clean and the women's room does have a baby changer and lockers for anyone who would like to lock up their belongings! Would be a five star review but my kids got their ball stuck and no one came to help after we told the front desk, so we just threw another ball down the lane and fixed the issue ourselves! read more

Open bowling from 9-12am was really fun on a Saturday, not too crowded and it wasn't filled with little kids or anything. I used a North Olmsted coupon book to buy three games get three free, and although it was really fun, it goes by so quick. Three games was only a little over an hour. THE POSITIVES: Descent atmosphere, eclectic aesthetics (60's-70's lanes with neon confetti carpet straight from 1993), family friendly atmosphere. Friendly staff, great service! Descent beer selection for an acceptable price! Affordable, we bowled with 3 other couples and had 2 lanes. It was $21 for my husband and I, that included the lane fee, shoe and bowling ball rentals, for 2 hours and 2 games. We started at 10pm and shut the place down at 2am and played 3 or 4 games with no extra cost for the extra games/hours. WHY I HAD TO KNOCKOFF 2 STARS: Doesn't organize bowling balls by weight. Many of the bowling balls did not have the weight listed on it. NOT A LOT OF COLOR OPTIONS!!!! This a crucial component for amateur bowlers like myself and will affect my overall performance, as well as my enjoyment of the game! Shoes were VERY clean and newish but, still had that retro bowler shoe look. Hilariously written across the side of the shoe is "DO NOT STEAL" in silver Sharpie. Who's great idea was that? ;) We bowled on a Saturday night and started at 10pm and there was no music playing at all, not even jukebox music! Just the sounds of the tumbling pins and awkward hormonal teenagers on a group date (you'd think overhearing those conversation would at least be entertaining!) Cosmic Rockin' Bowl did not start until midnight. This is late for a bunch of nerdy 30-somethings. There was nothing Cosmic or Rockin' about it, no glow in the dark pins or bowling balls. Just some cool lighting that I think everyone will enjoy, except epileptics. The music was weak, mostly just popular non-top 40 hits from people I have never seen or heard of. Sorry but, my deaf grandma could come up with a better playlist. OVERALL: This is a nice, clean, safe, family friendly bowling alley. It's great for families and dropping off the tweens/teens to bowl. read more

This one of my favorite places to bowl. It has 48 lanes which is a good size alley. It has plenty of leagues to choose from, all men, women and mixed. The food is here is reasonably priced and is pretty good. The drink prices are ok, could be better. They have a bar/eating area and a few games for the kids to play. They also have a pro shop if you would like to buy bowling supplies. Overall, I decent bowling alley to bowl at for leagues or for fun. read more

Came here just because Brunswick zone was busy, but never again. The old man working the front counter was a grumpy unhappy man to say the least. Paid to bowl until two had half a frame left and called the night at 1:57 but we paid until 2. Had to go to the counter to receive my bowl and he did nothing but say rude remarks. Will not be coming back or recommend this place. Also we are a military family and they have no military discount and the man decided to say some snark remark about that as well!
