Service was slow with one bartender having to tend to the bar, cook, and serve while we were there. However, our wings were spectacular. Flavorful, crispy, and had the perfect amount of sauce. The buffalo ranch wings from here are my favorite in Lakewood!! read more

This used to be such a good place. It has really changed in the past 3 years. Service is bad because 1 bartender has to do everything. Cook, serve beers, mix drinks, clean up, and god knows what else. I wonder about the safety of the food being prepared. Decent tap beers and beer specials on certain days of the week. On some shots as well. It's a decent atmosphere. One of the few Ma & Pa places left in Lakewood. Could be a long wait to get your food. Every item on the menu is fried food. Oh, and they charge $1 extra for take out. HA! read more

They used to have a great menu with sandwiches and not just 2-minute fried foods. So disappointing. Haven't been back since I heard that and used to go with my friends to watch games and eat all the time. Darn shame. read more

We had a big group and Matt, our bartender, did a great job with the food & drinks would recommend to a friend!

Bartender was truly a massive scumbag. Lied to us to kick us out early using the clocks springing forward as an excuse to get the bar empty and when he was politely corrected, he lost his temper; aggressively swearing and escorted us out. Went from 0 to 100 for no reason. Will not go back. His hospitality was absolutely terrible, for people who spent over $100 on their tabs. Acted like we were a burden to him when we were the only people keeping the place going. Absolutely terrible service - this man should not work in the restaurant / service business. read more

I have been to the Red Rose a few times, I have a handful of friends who love it. The location is great for convenience and the space is a nice size. The service is always a bit on the shady side, often have to flag down bar tender to get service multiple times in the same visit. Last time we went in was during a Browns game, it was packed. They had two people bar tending and it felt like they wanted to hangout with their friends instead of working, ie serving the customers. When we heard that they did not provide kitchen service we decided to head else where. Didn't want to stand with no beer or food for 3 hours. On a side note, I have been there when they were not so busy. Again had to flag down bar tender for service. The food is bar food, and not the good kind. read more

If you're looking for cheap yet amazing bar food, Red Rose is always our go to. The menu is small but mighty, and their wings are some of the best I've had in all of Cleveland! The service is always timely, even when there are only 1 or 2 people working. I've never had a bad experience in terms of service, food, or cleanliness, even with this being considered a "dive bar". Sometimes im afraid to share this gem but it's too good to not let the world know!! read more

Very very solid local bar. I honestly have only had the wings here but on multiple occasions and they are spot on. They have daily food and drink specials and I've heard great things about their burgers so I def need to try. This bar has a nice little bar bowling machine as well. It's also within walking to several other Lakewood bars. Private parking lot in back is also nice so you don't have to search for street parking. read more

Some of the best wings in Cleveland. Also my favorite place to watch a game. Great atmosphere. If you could have a better variety of white claw though! At least have the originals! read more

We were visiting our daughter and decided to go to a local bar/eatery. A lot of TVs to watch the football games. All of our burgers were great. Wings were good-not too saucy. One of our favorite items were the onion rings. I like that they have specials every day of the week. Nice, clean local place with good bar food. read more

Best wings I've had in the state of Ohio. This place is such a hidden gem that I would have completely missed it had I not been in the area for St Paddy's day. I am so, so glad that I know about this place now. Seriously, it's worth a trip for the wings alone. I've been daydreaming about them ever since and so have the two friends that accompanied me that day. They're deliciously crispy and moist. The staff is also very nice and the atmosphere is super casual. read more

My wife was looking for a little "adventure" last Saturday night, so I thought we'd give this spot a try to see what the vibe was like...so glad we did! This place has an old-school, neighborhood bar atmosphere with very friendly servers / people throughout. We had heard such good things about their wings, it was time to finally give them a try. We ordered a dozen of their buffalo garlic parmesan wings ($0.45 all-day, everyday!) and they were outstanding...not overly "wet" and super-crispy on the outside, flavored with a slight heat from the buffalo and pungent garlic flavor. Their blue cheese dressing was very tangy and the first serving is on the house. Their Saturday night special (they have multiple meal and drink specials every night of the week) was a 1/2 pound cheeseburger and fries, which we split. The burger was pretty good, but the meat patty could have used more seasoning. It was cooked perfectly medium, just how my wife asked for it. The bar has tons of super-cheap beers and shots (and a full selection of liquors), so there are plenty of drink options to choose from. But the coolest feature of this establishment?...they have an old bowling machine that costs $0.25 per person to play! The game worked flawlessly and was a ton of fun to mess around with. Nostalgia rules! Fun place, kick-ass wings and cheap drinks...we will most certainly return!!! read more

Would rate it negative stars if that was an option. Food is surprisingly good, wings are great, unfortunately the service is atrocious, unless you're one of the five regulars... feels like that's the only people they pay attention to. Have tried visiting a few times now, each experience keeps getting worse, somehow. Atmosphere is dead, I presume because of the same issues I continue experiencing. Only the same five people who know the bartender visit. Felt like one of the bad experiences you see on Bar Rescue tbh. read more

Updating my review as service has improved and the Rose continues to one of Cleveland's better secret wing destinations. The wings are large portions with great sauces and, unlike many other Cleveland bars, cooked properly. read more

Be VERY careful here. Have had to call them on two different occasions over the course of two years because they double charged for what I purchased with a credit card. It's our go to for cheap drinks and some keno. Good wings and bar food. Casual and friendly.

Just ridiculous ownership. Have been banned for absolutely no reason given after pointing out to ownership that bartenders regularly getting sloshed while on the job...so much so that one even fell to the ground 10 minutes into her shift...first class nothing here...good luck Brian and Rose!! read more

I love a good dive bar & I live down the street so the rose is one of my go to places. The wings are hands down amazing & the bartenders are amazing. It's also pretty clean for a dive bar so that's a plus. The only thing that kinda sucks is the owners have a weird policy that there's an up charge if you want to take your food to-go. Which isn't a big deal just a little strange because if you want me to order more beer just tell me instead of trying to get me to stay longer to finish my food. read more

My goodness, how to sum up this wonderful place. I've been coming here since I first moved to the greater Cleveland area about 5 years ago. I don't think you'll find better priced food anywhere. And you have GOT to try the Cajun fries, you just can't beat it. Be sure to follow it up with a $6 pitcher of Labatt. Their wings are bigger than anywhere else you could find. A must try!!! This is a nice hillbilly bar in Lakewood. A friend celebrated his 30th birthday here last night. Last year for his 29th he tried fighting most of his friends amidst a black out. This year, he wanted to gracefully enter his 30's at the Red Rose Cafe. The name makes it sound more exotic and fascinating than it really is. The music is terrible. Mostly new rap/pop stuff like Little Wayne. A guy had a Wu Tang "C.R.E.A.M." shirt on last night in there. I guess the owner team is a husband and wife duo. Her name is Rose. That is the most romantic thing I have heard in a long time. read more

What a fun place to watch Thursday night football. Very reasonably priced. Couldn't stop eating the wings. Great spot to get together with the lads! read more

Took me 6 years of living in Lakewood to stop in this place and I'm shooting myself in the foot for it... To start, best wings in LAKEWOOD! 45 cents all day/everyday dine in only. No place around here can beat that or even come close. Next, they let up mix favors for free. For instance I'll mix buffalo, garlic parm, and ranch. And the wings are DE-FRIGGIN-LICIOUS. I literally crave them. They have a perfect crispness to them. Always cooked and coated perfectly... Their daily specials are hard to beat. Under $6 for a chicken Philly or burger and fries? Chicken Philly damn good esp w the peppers and onions on top. Also love their $7 nachos. Totally loaded w/ everything people love. And on Sunday, only $5.50, talk about a steal. Cheap beer and liquor (can't pass up a $3 Bacardi/Coke), friendly bartenders and owner, easy parking, and delicious food makes this a can't miss. read more

Tried to come here yesterday and got the Tri-fecta. -a/c wasn't on and it was 86 out. Some of us work for a living and sweat all day at work. Don't need it at Happy Hour. -you could smell the fryer grease from Malleys a few doors down. Clean the hoods. -pop country on. I would rather listen to baby seals being clubbed that that crap. Soulless drivel. Just go to Kelly's 3 minutes away. Same working class feel with good food and your ears wont hurt from the garbage music and you wont have to burn your fresh dip gear.... read more

I've been meaning to stop into this place since I saw them revamp the exterior. While the interior didn't get the same attention as the front facade this little dive bar is worth a visit. A few friends and I stopped in for a drink after work and for 4 o'clock on a Tuesday there was quite the crowded counter, which only means that is a hidden gem. It's a small establishment with great and friendly service. They have an old school bowling machine and some of your usual suspects on tap, but you can also get some great seasonal drafts for under 4 bucks. With food and drink specials every night of the week this small dive is worth a swim. I know I'll be back to try out some of the nightly specials. read more

Wonderful local bar! Now the great, the good, and the could be improved. The great -- chicken wings were to die for. Both my boyfriend and my friend agreed that they were one of the best wings they had in a while. The best part? It was 1 dozen for $6. The best wings we have had; $0.50 a wing. They have daily specials as well, which are a great price as well. The good -- the atmosphere was a typical sports bar. If you've ever seen How I Met Your Mother, it reminds me of MacLaren bar IRY. They have old school games. Drinks were also a great price (we got 3 beers - one draught and two bottles - for less than $12). Improve -- food took a while to come out. We waited a solid 35 minutes for our food, and it wasn't crazy busy. There was also at one point only one waitress working, but then another came a little later. Wonderful experience. Will be back! read more

Been here twice, pretty cool specials, love the fact that they have wing specials on various days of the week along with burger specials. Happy hour specials as well. This is my second time here and each time I've been amazed by the poor service I've received. It doesn't matter how good the food is, crappy service just leaves an unpleasant taste in the mouth. The first time the server forgot to put our food in and 3 order of wings took over 45 minutes. We then tried to order their dessert of deep fried Oreos and were told that the kitchen was closed early that night, even though the reason it was so late was their fault. This time we came during a Cavs playoff game and struggled getting refills of our beers as well as having the Cavs game turned to the Pittsburg Penguins game at the TV by us. With that being said, the wings are perfectly crispy but order extra sauce because there is never enough on. The nightly specials also leave a reason to come in, but it all depends on the experience you want to have when you go out to eat read more

The bathrooms back up. Toilet water comes up from the floor drain. Yikes. And they continue to serve food.

I would give this place 5 stars, because I love their wings and Pierogies however the last few times we've been there the service has been lackluster. Never got asked if we wanted more drinks, had to go to bar... they have wings 12/$6 eat in but if you have any left over (even just 2) it's $3.10 to take them. I get having a surcharge since you charge $9 to go.. but to charge more to take leftovers home? That's ridiculous. The wait staff/ bar tenders are clueless don't know how to pour even a decent jack n coke read more

Let me start off by saying that I love this place. The layout is pretty narrow and there's seating for maybe 30 people within the bar. Both the back and front have small patios which is perfect for summer beer drinkin! The drinks are super cheap, and they offer $2 fireball and 49c wings everyday. I've eaten the wings (buffalo garlic parm) and the cheeseburger with fries ($6.50). I was surprised with the quality of food, it was a lot better than I expected! Beer was served super cold and our bartender Melanie was fantastic. This place is very unassuming which I really like about it. It seems like most of the people there are regulars but didn't make me feel unwelcome when I arrived. I believe there's free bar bowling on Sunday and free jukebox on Monday (those days might be switched around, sorry!). Overall I would definitely recommend this place! read more

I made a point to stop here while in town for work because I heard about their chicken wings. The garlic parmesan wings were cooked perfect and absolutely delicious. A friend told me that if I was looking for good wings, this is the place. I was not led astray. The wings (we had the teriyaki) were perfectly cooked, plump and the sauce was very good. We also had the mozzarella sticks which were a good portion and cooked to perfection. I wish the marinara had been warm as I find it a bit of a disappointment to have warm mozzarella sticks and cold sauce. We had to order at the bar for service, but later there were servers that came around. I'd check it out again if I wanted good wings. read more
