I am new to the area and found Canal Cleaners at Yelp. It had the highest reviews so I wanted to give it a try. I took 8 shirts, two of them came back torn on the right side, exactly at the same location. See the photo I posted. I took it back to ask the owner how that happened. She blamed it on the age of the shirts! Those shirts are not old, and I always roll my sleeves so the parts corresponding to my elbows never chafe. She of course wasn't able to explain why they are both on the same side and same exact location. She didn't even apologize, let alone offering compensation. I'd avoid this place. read more

Shame on me for not sharing sooner. I moved into the area (part time) 18 months ago. Made my rounds with other cleaners but not happy. I was taking cleaning with me as I traveled back and forth from my permanent residence in South Central Texas. There I always had to get grocery tape coupons because pricing was high. I then tried Canal. What a difference! Quality work, timely and priced right. As the area continues to expand, there is no need to look elsewhere for this service. Now I bring extra cleaning and alterations for the family here and then take them back to my other home. read more

Horrible dry cleaners!!!!!! I took in laundry for their "wash & fold" service. I was told it would be ready in two days. I came back in three days to pick it up. It was sitting in a buggy and "still not ready, come back tomorrow " I was told. I came back the following day. This time, an older Indian woman was there. (Dot not feather.) She tells me it's 15 pounds of laundry at $3.50 per pound. WTF? $40 plus later I'm out of there. I get home and place the laundry on my digital scale and it weighs 7.14 pounds. (I guess they weigh the laundry when it's wet?) Anyway, to make matters worse, the laundry wasn't even folded! Really? They should change the service from "wash & fold" to "wash & over charge." This Place sucks! They won't be in business long. read more

Well, this place had been very good to me...until this week. Typically, I would drop off my clothes in the after-hours drop box and they would be ready to go the next day after 5pm. I'd only had one issue where my cleaning bag was stuck in the box so my clothes didn't get cleaned until a day later. My fault. Moved on. This week, though, I put my clothes in the drop box Wednesday night and listened for the bag to drop (to make sure it didn't get stuck again), and went back Friday to pick them up. THEY WERE STILL IN THE DROP BOX. The young man came back inside and said his manager should've checked it in the morning. No apology, no attempt to fix anything. Two mornings had passed and my stuff was still in there! Not to mention at least two other customers' things. The sign on the box says if you drop them off in the box, they'll be ready to go after 5pm the next day they're open. I needed the clothes for Monday, but this place isn't open weekends, so I had to just take my clothes with me. I'm sorry, but that's completely unacceptable. I'm not sure if management has changed or what, but this place used to be a lot more attentive and had great customer service. They used to see me pull up in my car and would already have my clothes rung up by the time I walked inside. Not anymore, unfortunately. Now I have to go find another place. read more

New Owner is very nice, and if you need clothes altered asap she does rush jobs. I'm very happy with how all my clothes have turned out, definitely 10/10. read more
