NEVER and I mean NEVER use this company, i just had bought a truck at around 8:30 at night and was driving home when my brake line blew meaning I had no brakes and my emergency break wouldn't work either, keep that in mind because that is very important to this story. we called canadian towing telling them that it was a 1. truck 2. 4x4 and 3. crew cab with regular box. so we asked for a flat bed because we have a big truck a normal tow truck wouldn't have been able to pull it down the highway for 45 minutes to our house. So we wait and the dispatch says half an hour so we wait... and wait ,,,,,,, and wait. finally a normal tow truck shows up (not a flat bed) and who women jump out. Now no im not being sexist because I am a women myself but one didn't even work for the company and the other was wearing leggings with no PPE whatsoever. we were parked close to the ditch but not in it and the girl who was not even an employee of canadian towing told us to start the truck and drive onto the boom of the tow truck. we told her no we would push it because the TRUCK HAS NO BRAKES!!! we insisted on pushing it but she kept telling us no. she specifically said " just drive forward and once you get to the truck stop" .... how are we supposed to stop with no brakes...... so we did what they told us since they are the professionals..... and the one who was not an employee was standing between our truck and the tow truck trying to direct us... well our truck couldnt stop and slammed right into the back of the tow truck leaving us with damage, the tow truck with damage and the girl almost getting killed.... thats not even it. they then proceeded to ask us to PUSH THE TRUCK like we said before and we got it where it needed to be. after half an hour they got it on the boom and it couldn't lift our truck since it was to heavy. the women who worked with canadian towing had to called someone over and over and OVER again to help her figure out how to 1.use the truck 2.put our truck on to the boom and 3. what to do after the boom wouldn't lift the truck. she was on the phone the whole time. they flipped around and went to the back of our truck to try to tow it backwards instead of forwards. at this point me and my friends were all pissed off because it was now an hour after they got there and they then told us they were calling the cops because they wanted to file a police report against us for hitting their truck THAT THEY TOLD US TO DO IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we were no all really pissed but kept out mouths shut for another 40 minutes until two more truck drivers (INCLUDING A FUCKING FLAT BED) showed up and started getting mouthy with us telling us that we were in the wrong for doing what the "professionals" told us to do. At this point I wanted to tell them to leave and we call another company because this was getting ridiculous. another hour later and the cop finally shows up to tell us that he can't do anything and that it has to be put under company damage and that we need to go through our own insurance. then the towing company drivers had the audacity to call us rude when they were trying to blame the incident on us!!!! un-fucking-believable this company. After everything, our truck was put on a flat bed the girl who didn't even work with the towing company left early and we were on our way home at 12pm. (may I remind you we called them at 9pm) finally hope at 1am when we all had to get up at 5 the next morning for work! we still had to pay them 350 dollars.
I will repeat this. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT TO GET HOME AT A TIMELY MANNER AND DON'T WANT THE COPS CALLED ON YOU!!! read more
