I have been a client of Roy Rump & Sons for about 4 years now and each time I've needed them, I was made to feel welcome by both the front-desk folks and the mechanical technicians. They explain all repairs clearly and with patience. They always provide as accurate an estimate as possible and, if they diagnose an issue and discover it was a simpler fix than they thought at the time, they gladly tell me that it will not cost as much to fix and that kind of honesty is why I will never go anywhere else. They always send me reports with digital photos and videos of the work along with their recommendations to keep my SUV in good working condition. There in only one little drawback... because they are so popular for all the things I mentioned, they are very busy a lot of the time and it can affect how soon they can book an appointment with you but, it is always worth the wait. I also asked if they have an inspection service, which they do, so had them perform that. I recieved a very clear prioritized inspection report on my 6 year old car, which I can execute on. Car repairs are not cheap, in general. I think I was charged fairly and got great service. I'm also gonna note here, this business was recommended on my neighbourhood FB page. I notice 2 horrible reviews her on yelp. On google they have a near perfect score. In my opinion, the two reviews don't hold water. One is by someone listed as being in California, with only one review. The other is local, also one review. I'm guessing they are fake accounts. Do with that what you will.

The work was done in 45 minutes, and I was on my way knowing that I'd be ready for the next snow storm. The visit confirmed a number of things about this business. 1) the manager is good at what he does, and has decent product knowledge. 2) if you're in the market for new brand-name tires, this is not the place to go. 3) their used tire selection and price is quite good 4) the waiting room is very welcoming for customers who need to wait while the work is being done. Since I only take the care out for short runs on days where the weather is pretty near perfect I hadn't really noticed how bad the front end (all new) really was until last weekend when I took the car out for a road trip. I knew that I had to bring it in for a wheel alignment. Wow... I have never been to Frisby Tire, but was super impressed by all the staff, from when I called the "day before" to see if they would have time to do the work the following day, to the following day when I brought the car in for the work and even the following day when they followed up with me. Unfortunately, I had waited too long and my two brand new tires were worn out fairly badly - so bad, that they need to be replaced. They did their best to locate the same tires but were unable to find any in Canada. They promised to search and get back to me - and they did the following day. Tim provided me with some good advice and advised that I order them from the U.S. since the specific tires I want are discontinued in Canada. Tim also advised that the tires are on back order in the U.S., and to order them right away and to either have them installed in the U.S. are that they would install them at their shop. All to say that the people at this shop are very pleasant to deal, honest and professionals! A very nice experience, I recommend this shop :-) .
