This is the local Canadian Tire Gas Bar in the south end of Cambridge. The folks who work here are great and are always happy to help. However, there is no car wash at this location. I do like the Canadian Tire iPhone App, which provides me additional savings and offers at the Canadian Tire Gas Bar, as well as eliminating the need for me to go to the store to pick up Canadian Tire multiplier coupons. read more

WOMEN BEWARE - MISOGYNY IN THE AUTO CENTRE This review is regarding my experience at the Auto Centre of this store. On April 11, 2026 I brought my vehicle in for a tire swap (winter tires to seasonal tires). A few minutes after my car was driven in, a young man came into the waiting room asking if I needed an alignment. I said I was unsure if I booked that service in the appointment, but if it was needed, they could proceed. The young man said he would wait until the technician completed the swap to see if the alignment was required. The young man later called me up to the service desk and said that I needed a new tire, he would order the tire, and we can set up an appointment to install it later in the week. Then he said that my lug nuts were missing and I would need to purchase new ones. I knew they were in the car as I verified this prior to bringing the car in. This brought me back to the appointment I had with this location in the fall of 2025, when they put my winter tires on. I was told my lug nuts were missing and I said I do not remove the lug nuts from my car and they must have been misplaced by the Auto Centre when I can in the spring of 2025 for my previous tire swap. They said they would replace the lug nuts, but then was told I needed some other service that "they recommend to everyone". I agreed to their recommendation. I now realized they recommended the other service to cover the cost of the replacement lug nuts they lost. I told the young man to cancel the tire order, put whatever tires they needed to back on my car, so I could leave. I told the young man that I didn't believe a word he was telling me. Then a woman appeared who said she overheard the conversation. I told her that I was only being treated like this because I am a woman, and the lug nuts were indeed in the car. She went to check this with the technician. In the meantime, I phoned my husband to ask him to come help me. Of course, my husband was told the truth as to what was happening with the lug nuts. They were not missing, but didn't fit. My husband told whomever he was dealing with that this was impossible as they were the same lug nuts they took off from my seasonal tires as they were not removed from the vehicle. The only answer my husband kept getting to any questions he asked was "I don't know". Ladies, avoid this location at all costs. They will lie to you about missing items in your car and try to upsell you on services you do not need. read more

found 3 staff trying to get a cage open to by tools. All said they had to get keys and didn't show back up.

The male cashier at the return till was totally rude, I had to reach around the plastic to get my items when I was done paying. He just stood there and watched me, is this what business has become these days. CT might as get self check out! Also had tires switched from winter to summer, so ask to get the tires retorqued (as you are supposed to after 100km) the one young guy said they are closed in 1min, then another guy a cpl minutes says to bring it in, I said you can't carry your torque wrench outside to do it, no offence but these guys were young!! read more

I take my car there to fix. They did a oil change and wheel alignment after that my front end have been rattling like something is loose under my car. I return there and they said the mechanic that worked on my car is not there so I'll have to come back. That was my forth time there and every time there was a issue after fixing. I'm done with that place. read more

Booked an app for 930am to get 4 new tires installed. Took the 2 Ppl at the counter almost 10 min to acknowledge I was there for they were both puttering around. After over an hour and a half later I went back to see my car with all 4 new tires on. It took another 15 min for the guy to put the hub caps back on..then finally pull the car out..There were no other customers by the way.. Then to process the work order, took another 15 min while I watched the girl eat her breakfast in their office..hello!!! Anyone home..everyone of them work like snails..she knew I was waiting, for the older gentleman working there asked prior what car I was waiting for..painful to watch these ppl work..or what they consider work. I use to do this girls job in my late teens at a Canadian Tire. A car would be in and out in 45 min for 4 tires.. In that time I was there I did not hear one impact gun..wow service has really gone down hill..min wage hike sure didn't make these guys work any faster. Poor customer service and the young girl was quite rude. Gave attitude to her tire guys and the older gentleman she was working with.. One other time I had to get a tire plugged..had an app for 11 and it took over an hour..wow 20 min in and out at one time when Canadian tire wanted the work!! read more

This is the worst canadian tire in the history of time. The staff is majority pre-teens who have no idea where anything is or what application any of the tools or items are used for. The store is normally in complete shambles and frankly I have no idea why people shop here. All I ever hear are people complaining about this location. It's two minutes from my house but I and most people drive the extra 15-20 minutes to go to the other location. read more

I never write reviews but am so unhappy with the Canadian Tire at Dundas in Cambridge. If you are a female looking for help purchasing they are happy to sell you crap. As a female I am relying on they to provide reliable products and advice. My mistake apparently. I will not buy from them again. They not only do not explain the options available and what the difference is between the products. They will not return an item, in this case a car battery which apparently I now understand from my mechanic is the lowest one possible for my vehicle. I will not shop here for automotive parts again. Their customer service was definitely not satisfactory and their auto parts sub-par. Definitely avoid them if you are a female needing help re vehicle parts. read more

I went online to order a level and a pair of garden sheers May 16th. Hoped I would be notified next day order might be ready. Did not get notification till May 18th, when store was closed for Stat holiday. Said to come into store to pick up. Ok. But I deliberately ordered online to pick up curb side as I am a senior trying to avoid covid. Inside store 2 staffers were standing. One female, and a younger male. Both helping gentleman before me, so I tried to social distance, but all took place right beside entry doors, causing me repeated exposure to covid. Female told gentleman he'd have to go round side for pick up? As he left I asked why were we directed into store if outside pickup especially during these times, causing potential exposure for he and I. Female clerk, with a snotty tone of voice advising not enough staff. When I attempted to voice my displeasure she snottily said for me to give her my order info off my phone. I was then informed she'd be right back with my stuff and I was to wait right where I was, like a good boy? I guess, given the tone. I did as told, but moved off to side to protect myself. When she returned she held out order to me, I took from her, said nothing to her, and as I turned my back, I heard this delightful young lady said quite loudly thatI was welcome. I turned and told her to go fuck herself. Would never have dreamed of speaking to her like that, but this is the second time I've been treated like garbage in this store. And with the added insult of NO Social distancing precautions. No wash station or hand sanitizer available! I will drive to Hespeler Road in the future as they don't have a clue! I rated as a "1", but even that would be generous. Store located at 75 Dundas Street, Cambridge, Ontario. 4:50 p.m. May 21, 2020 read more

They do not know the meaning of customer service. I live just a few blocks from the store but if at all possible I will drive across town instead of shopping here. I have had numerous cases of absolutely horrible customer service. I have called the store (in one case only to find that the person I was complaining about was the manager) and have called head office several times. There was a change of ownership a few years back but there has been no improvement. They will often stock 1 or 2 items of what is on sale and that's it. read more

Typically, the service at this Canadian Tire is just OK but one night when I needed someone to help me with installing a windshield wiper blade, employee Jenn came to my assistance. It was shortly after 6 pm and I had lost the passenger's blade. Auto Service was closed for the night and Jenn was ready to leave for the night when she volunteered to put this blade on for me. The blade that another employee sold me was not the correct size. Jenn looked up the correct blade for my car and was able to install the blade. This service was strictly on her own time and I was very appreciative of the help she provided. I don't think, if she wasn't around, I would have received this service. Thank you Jenn! read more
