So after a quick shop for snacks, I locked up for the night. The store is large, decently stocked and brightly lit. I think it was one of the better Walmarts I have shopped recently but it could be the parking situation talking. They charge you for the full order but if items are not available, you won't see the refund for 7 - 10 business days. There was so much of my order that wasn't available it had to be cancelled as I was going to go shopping myself and then advised I will have a refund in 7 - 10 days!!!

The manager came out and also said something along the lines of "I need money from your kind of people". The young lady was a small business owner just inquiring about buying in bulk. After all this the young lady decided to return the items she bought but the manager refused to give her a receipt. I am not sure why, but the young lady had to call the police. She video taped this horrible interaction so I hope she shares this experience as well. It is really sad to see a large business like this displaying racism to customers.

Being responsible I did not want to drive the vehicle. Upon purchasing me and my friend got asked for ID which is understandable but my brother did as well. Mind you he is underaged but this was unneeded as he was not purchasing. We described this to the woman. (Who remains unknown as her name was not released after contacting the store location) I consulted several friends who work at the beer store/LCBO and they found this unprofessional and against regulation. As he did not touch or have the intent to purchase. We usually go to the LCBO and my brother comes with us and never gets IDed. They understand how to follow guidelines and are trained properly. I would like the staff to be trained in this fashion so this does not happen to another customer. Granted this is Walmart and I should expect poor service but this is unacceptable.

Wal-marts are not known to provide great shopping experiences. It seems everybody complains about…read moreWal-mart. But I have found some really nice Wal-marts (I've even reviewed one of them!). This is not one of those "nice" Wal-marts. For some reason, staff members in this Wal-mart have to call for managers and customer service reps over the loudspeaker. They call for department heads to answer the phone. They call for supervisors to pick up the in-house phone. It's constant overhead chatter and it's really, really annoying. It's a constant "CSR, call 236. CSR, call 236." and "Manager, call 143." and "Could we please have an associate to sporting goods?" "CSM to register 5." The store itself is not bad, but more than once I have fled this Wal-mart simply because of the noise. Somehow, most of the other Wal-marts in the world manage to get ahold of managers and supervisors without broadcasting loudly over a public address system. It would be great if this store could find out how they do it and copy them.

We got the following items: - Beef Hotdog - Polish Dog - wings (10 pcs) - poutine The wings were awesome, wish they had these in the states. It was crispy and perfectly seasoned, don't need the buffalo or bbq sauce. Poutine - it hit the spot perfectly, they put a lot of cheese curds. Definitely this is a must to get. If you are not a fan of cheese curds, ask them for less. Can't go wrong with the hotdogs - $1.50 CAN, which means it's cheaper than the states. Self order, they take Costco Citi Visa card. Food comes out quickly, the only draw back, there's limited seating.

It could have been my luck. I visited the handbags. Nothing appealed to me. I spotted the lone Kipling backpack hanging on the wall. It didn't have its signature gorilla on it. Sad. The finding that was even more tragic was going to the women's shoe section. I shop at Winners because it has size 11 shoes and typically a fairly decent selection. This store had a whopping four pairs of footwear. I stood there, looked at all four pairs, and moved on. I will say that the kitchen accessories were pretty good. Same goes for the snacks. The phone accessories were fine. I liked the cases for Airpods that also come with a ring. When I'm back again, I'll give this store another tour. Perhaps it was an off weekend. Otherwise, it's a neat, bright, organized store. (72)
