I see that most reviewers here had horrible, abhorrent experiences at this store. How interesting, as my experience was excellent! (I'm glad I didn't read all these reviews before I went there as, honestly, I probably would not have visited this store if I had read these reviews first). Backstory: a few years ago, my microwave died. This is the appliance I use most in my kitchen, so I was NOT happy. I went to Trail Appliances to get a new microwave. It had to have very specific dimensions as it is a built-in. I got an expensive new model there but opted not to get the expensive add-on warranty as I know microwaves usually last 7+ years. (Despite being impressed with the Trail Appliance showroom, I had some major issues with them. See my review from a few years ago). Anyway, wouldn't you know it, one week after this microwave's regular one-year warranty was up, this new, expensive microwave died. DEAD. One year and one week after purchase. I was fit to be tied. I vowed NEVER to go to Trail Appliances again. I so resented the whole matter that I resisted going to get another microwave for two whole years. (Yes, I bore a grudge lol! It was the whole principle of the matter). Finally, my kid begged me to get a new microwave, and I relented. I came to this store as it is close to me, and because I saw online that they had some microwaves that fit my dimensional specs. I admit, upon entering the store, I was a bit underwhelmed. It was definitely NOT the shiny, polished showroom at Trail Appliance. Far from. It reminded me of No Frills, as compared to, say, Whole Foods. (Don't get me wrong, though; I LOVE No Frills!). Here it was very basic, a showroom that was more like a small warehouse, with all the models just stored here in in the most space-efficient manner. But I saw that they carried all the major names in appliances, and I liked how nobody pounced on me as I looked around. After looking at the bank of microwaves, I went to a sales desk and spoke to Suraj Singh there. I told him my sob story about my dead microwave from Trails. I showed him the models I had found online on the CAS site that would work for me. He was extremely helpful and also gave me a lot of good advice regarding what to get and why. I liked that he didn't try to upsell me on their priciest models. Because I used to be an interior designer, I totally understand why he kept on asking me if I was 100% sure of the dimensions I needed, as the store had a lot of experience with people ordering appliances that ultimately did not work in their intended spaces, resulting in problems in installation and, usually, returning the appliances, and a lot of bad feelings. As I recall, I had to sign some documents, attesting to the fact that these are the dimensions needed and I stand by them. (As a designer, I remember having similar issues with people insisting they wanted certain furniture pieces and then waiting for delivery, and then finding out that the pieces wouldn't fit through their doorways, or were too big for the spaces, or didn't have clearance for opening up sofa beds, or whatever, and then they'd be angry at ME, despite refusing me access to double-check the space and take measurements before they ordered anything. This is such a common occurrence). I gotta say, I REALLY appreciated how Suraj said that I'd get emails from CAS, with copies of all documents for my purchase, and also keeping me updated on the status of my order. He said the machine would be coming in a few weeks and I'd get a call to confirm the date and time of arrival. And I SO appreciated that the delivery guy would take away my existing dead microwave (no other companies I had called were going to take away my old microwave. I figured I'd have to shlep it to a recycle center somewhere. This saved me a big trip). To make a long story short (sort of!), everything that Suraj said would happen DID happen. I got quite a few follow-up emails from CAS, got the new machine delivered when they said it would (the delivery guy was super nice too), they took away my dead microwave (GOOD RIDDANCE), I got all my documents (purchase order, receipts, manuals, etc) emailed to me (in addition to getting all the hard copies at the store), and there were no surprises or issues at all. My kid installed the new microwave and it works like a charm. So, yeah, I had a great experience here. They did what they said they would, I got the appliance I wanted to get, I paid a decent price for the model microwave I wanted, and there were NO surprises. I'll take this experience over the one I had at Trails anyday. (Note: I DID get the expended warranty on this microwave, just in case there's an issue down the road. Suraj gave me a good deal on it. I needed to buy a refrigerator, I went online and looked at a few options. I ended up on the Canadian Appliance Source website. I picked the fridge I wanted, it showed as "in stock" I added it to my cart and proceeded to the check-out. I selected delivery which was FREE. However, I required the delivery faster, I paid $29.95 for Expedited Shipping. Delivery was scheduled for 2 days later. The following afternoon I went onto the website to "Manage Your Order" to check on the delivery time. At that time it showed the item was no longer available and my estimated delivery would be sometime in the future? At least 2-3 weeks later. I called 3 times. I got through to someone who said I ordered an item that showed "not in stock" which was a lie. A "not in stock" item would not have allowed me to buy it, schedule and pay the EXPEDITED delivery fee. He told me to call customer care. I finally got through to them, almost 1 hour later, and cancelled the order. This company used DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!! The bait and switch. I learned a valuable lesson. Cheap isn't good and good isn't cheap. I called another very reputable appliance store, bought a fridge, it was delivered and installed promptly. I ordered a dry and on the official order confirmation shown the installation was included! but the delivery guy said only buy both dry and washer then including installation! we called their customer service, the answer was same as the delivery team . Then asked why they promised when I was purchasing the dry ; after paid they changed! ? - it is kind of cheating! Canadian Appliance Source The delivery team of C.A.S. damaged my fridge during delivery and then improperly connected the water line resulting in a $40.000.00 insurance claim from the water damage. The customer care manager was rude, condescending and unhelpful. When I asked whether I needed to go to the physical store to voice my concerns I was told the police would be called and I would be removed. Their website states that they are committed to values such as respect, responsibility and customer satisfaction. I was not granted any of that. My home insurer is entering subrogation to attempt to recoup costs from C.A.S. and the delivery/install company they use. It is unbelievable that C.A.S. makes no effort to compensate or even offer a goodwill gesture for putting a customer through 6 weeks of misery. read more

I bought a clothing washer and dryer from Canadian Appliances in June 2025. The first set did not fit into the space, so they charged me a delivery fee. The second set fit it, but they did not install it properly so the folding door no longer closes over the machines. The team who installed the machines left my bathroom looking like a garbage dump and left the door leaning against the bathtub and did not replace the furniture they had moved out of the way in order to do the installation. bought a dishwasher from Paul at superstore who recommended me this product from Midea. he said it was made with good quality. now the control panel is cracking in numerous places from normal use of opening and closing. Manufacturer wouldn't cover it. Store would not help, extended warranty does not cover it. now I have a unit less than two years old that is cracking apart. horrible advise from this company advisor and horrible after service. The prices here are way more discounted than at any competing store, especially if you buy a package of multiple appliances. The store manager sounds pretty amenable about giving additional discounts (eg free shipping) for purchases of more than one appliance. When I first started doing research, all fridges seemed pretty much the same to me and I was a complete ignoramus about appliances. I stayed in the store for two hours, and a store clerk was with me the whole time to help me figure out the right choice for me. Is there a rating below 1 star?? Do NOT buy from this store. I purchased a little $200 microwave. What could go wrong right? Well... the online agent I purchased from got the distribution centre hours wrong. When I drove to pick it up (45 minutes out to Burnaby), it was closed. Then it turns out it is ALWAYS closed on Sundays and now I can't pick up my purchase. So my option is to pay $100 delivery fee. Seriously. And the microwave - same price on Amazon and they deliver to my door free!! read more

AVOID at all costs. Buyer truly be wary. We bought a refrigerator and dishwasher from Harvey at CAS. We waited 12 days for delivery of our appliances. The day they were supposed to arrive, these grifters added an additional $650 dollars to our bill as an additional delivery fee. We cancelled our order after hours on the phone. i work for a man that stands by his words he is a fair man. who knows the importance of an agreement. when it comes to paying for services or products that he purchases he looks for quality,reliability,completion. Ive yet to see him grind the price down from a quote if hes hired you before and knows you stand by your word he will not question your price nor say no to a request for a deposit. He works hard seven days a week to get his house renovated for his family who may i add that his wife and 2 young daughters come everyday to help a and support him in this up and down roller coaster ride that has brought good and bad contractors to his front door some do what they say and some say too much and dont produce. He went to CAS because they carried name brand products and carried the Canadian word for their name and it saids in our anthem WE STAND ON GUARD FOR THEE to me that means we look out for our fellow Canadians BUT NOT CANADIAN APPLIANCE SOURCE because 6 months he has been waiting on his appliances that he paid for in full 6 months ago that is yet to arrive again 6 months ago paid in full that has yet to arrive he has been diligent this whole time keeping in contact with them being patient and trusting thinking that he was in good hands and thankfull to them for holding on to his purchase until all of it was received at CSA warehouse again it was paid for 6 months ago what i believe is that they held on to his purchase acting in a way that they were being helpful because he wasnt ready for it at the moment because of the renow he was doing but i honestly think that they sold one of the appliances in his set and CSA is somehow having trouble in restocking that make that he purchased that is not right it is the property of CSA after it has been paid in full its not normal practice to sell off purchased goods that no longer belong to CSA inventory for this reason DONT TRUST THEM, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME, THEY WILL LET YOU DOWN read more

Canadian Appliance Source offers good selection and prices but you are entirely on your own, post purchase. Do not expect any help whatsoever in learning how to use your appliances or anything that might not as expected. Since their brands can be sourced from other outlets, next time I will choose an outlet with better customer care policies. read more

I recently bought a washer/dryer, sales guy was Stanislav Husak @ East Broadway store. Due to COVID 19 I ordered over the phone, Stan was very helpful, ordered unit I wanted with a delivery 2 days later. Once unit was installed I went to open dryer door and handle came off, I called delivery guys back to my condo and asked them to take the unit away. They refused said I would need to call the store to have repair guy come out. I then went to use washer and the start button was jammed and would not work. I immediately called Stan he told me he would send a link to put in request for new unit, would have new unit in 2-3 days. 2 days later I receive an email saying I am not eligible for new unit as unit was already installed, they would have a tech come out to repair. I emailed, faxed, spoke to Stan saying I was not accepting this, I wanted a new unit or full refund. Stan was no longer helpful, got annoyed with me, said it was not his problem, transferred me to customer service. I called him back, again he said not his problem. I spent about 4 hours trying to track down somebody to help me. I did receive a call next day saying they would now send me a new unit, no apology for the inconvenience. New unit has been installed and delivered but I would advice anybody shopping at this store to be very aware that there are numerous complaints with Better Business Bureau for similar problems. read more
