Our garbage disposal housing was developing holes, which spewed nasty food water underneath the sink. Time for a new disposal and I am not going to fix it myself! Well, I tried. I plugged the holes with some space age polymer I found in the hardware store and that worked for a few months. After that fix no longer worked we called Combined Appliances. They replaced the old disposal with a new disposal and gave us clear instructions on how to keep the disposal in top condition. No bones! (Who puts bones in the garbage disposal other than serial killers?) Roughly 7 years later and my "new" garbage disposal was leaking, this time from a different area, but I knew it meant we needed a replacement. 7 years of almost daily use is a pretty good run. Again, we called CA and they came when they said they would, they fixed the problem, and again reminded us proper disposal usage. I have nothing negative to say about the company. They did what they were hired to do. read more

Contacted them early December. Very fast response initially. Technician came the same day. He said he had to order parts, but should be here the following week. I called them mid-week the following weekend and they said we can arrange for tech to come back with parts this Friday. I agreed and we confirmed that Friday. NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN! It's been almost 2 months! Obviously I've dealt with this myself by now! read more

Our LG washer quit working, so we called on Combined Appliances, which company has been very helpful in the past. Today they sent Chris -- a very personable and competent repairman! He invited me to watch as he worked on our machine. I think he has the magic touch because in no time he had the washer up and running again! It was a very, very pleasant experience. No cleanup was required in his wake. I look forward to future need from Combined Appliances and hope Chris is available. Awesome experience! Made my day! read more

We called Combined Appliances in to repair an Asko dishwasher. They arrived to do the repair and replaced the drain pump. The dishwasher is used infrequently by our elderly mother. She informed us 3 months later the dishwasher was still not working. We called Combined Appliances and they told us we missed the 90 day warranty by 1 day and we were out of luck. We contacted Asko and they advised us that Combined was not an approved repair service for their product. Asko recommended Shoreline Appliances. We called in Shoreline Appliances and they had the repair completed in 1/2 hour. It turns out that when Combined did the repair they forgot to install a horseshoe shaped plug that creates the vacuum for the drain pump. A $17.00 item that ended up costing us another repair bill. I would not recommend Combined Appliances to anyone. Their moral compass is off. read more

After being assured that the repair would not be costly, Combined went ahead charged me $169.00 for two hours of work on my L.G. washer and another for the part. What planet do they live on where $245.00 isn't much? They should not jack up the price for seniors who seem to be out of touch, which is what they did. I've deleted them from my phone book. A perviously good customer, resident North Shore for 47 years, read more

there was a drain problem with my washer. combined appliances was recommended by my colleagues. gave them a call on wednesday to book an appointment for friday - told them the problem, my model number and where the washer is. they told me the price breakdown and all the other charges. kyle, the technician, called me this morning at 9am to let me know what time he'll be coming. called me a few minutes prior to confirm my address, buzzed him in. whole repair took less than 30mins and he even told me what to do nxt time this happens again! great service! read more

Fast, efficient and reliable service! The handle on my oven door had fallen off on one side. It was past the 1 year warranty date, so I had to get it fixed by an approved repair service. After shopping around and comparing hourly rates, I chose Combined Appliances. The owner Bob seemed experienced and knowledgeable over the phone. He gave me a quick assessment and estimate, and then scheduled an appointment for the next day. The technician called in the morning to provide a 2 hour window of when he would show up. Once he arrived, Altaf got to work right away, quickly and carefully taking the oven door apart to re-tighten the inner screws for the handle. I was very happy with his friendly and efficient service, and would highly recommend Combined Appliances to anyone! read more

My fridge died on Sunday night and Combine Appliance was able to mobilize a technician to come to our house by Monday afternoon. Having called a number of other places who a) didn't return my call and b) were too busy to send a technician on short notice, having the folks at Combined Appliance be flexible enough to squeeze me in was so appreciated and showed such good customer service. The technicians arrived on time (with a 2 hr window) and were able to quickly fix my dead fridge. Thankfully it wasn't an expensive part. They were professional, honest, and friendly. read more

This service is terrible in every way. Even when I asked to speak to the manager (who is also the owner) he lots of attitude. They never have any of the parts and have to order every thing with takes over a month. No one takes any responsibility in this company!! read more

Really disappointing. Decided to give them a try and was very disappointed with the unprofessionalism by the service tech as well as the dispatcher who called to discuss the part being ordered. Ended up paying $305 for a plastic clamp that broke on a stackable washing machine. Do not recommend. read more

The owner is extremely rude and told me 'I'm not a doctor' or something to that effect. I had to use them for my LG repair and certainly won't ever bother again. The actual tech who came to the house was very nice but the owner is in serious need of learning to control his temper when speaking to customers and needs to learn some customer service skills, as well as how to be a polite human being while he's at it. Don't bother! read more

Super professional and efficient booking for my dishwasher that wasn't draining. Kyle came early the next morning and resolved the issue quickly, it was an easy fix so he showed me what to do in case it happened again. Call outs are never inexpensive, but he was lovely and personable and made the whole experience feel sincere. read more

Some time ago my dryer stopped working, phoned a different repair shop with great reviews, told they were too busy and to try Combined Appliances. I was assured they did good work. Technician arrived, removed back of dryer, tested fuse and within 20 minutes of arrival fuse repaired. I then left the area expecting tech to put dryer back panel on and to bring me out the bill. Fifteen minutes later tech still haven't come out so I went to see what he was doing and he was just standing there looking at the dryer vent. He had pulled venting hose off and said lint was part of the problem. He then said he had to go back to van to get proper tape to put venting hose back on. Tech made no attempt to clean any lint out of anything. Eventually tech came out with bill and he was charging two hours labour. I said he had been done within 20 minutes but he said he had to go out to van for tape and that took him 15 minutes walking time (he was parked right in front of the apartment building). I felt he had wasted a lot of time just to get over the one hour time so he could charge me for two hours. Eventually he agreed to charge one hour labour ($129.00) and another $30.00 plus taxes for a simple fuse. Would either watch tech total time on site or just try another company. read more

Always great. Business like, promo and accommodating. Work has always been good quality. This is based on dealing with this company from when it first started. read more

I write this review to thank this company for its excellent service. The computer control on our dishwasher died. They sent a sevice man to the house to determine the problem and returned in a few short days to install a new control panel. Very shortly afterwards, the dishwasher again malfunctioned. Another serviceman arrived to discover that the newly installed part was defective. A new part had to be ordered and subsequently installed. The next day we discovered that another part had malfunctioned. Another service call was required to determine the cause. When the new part was available, a final housecall was required to install it. Since then, the dishwasher has functioned as new. We were appropriately charged for the initial housecall and the subsequent housecall to install the control panel. Although there was a charge for the additional part (soap dispenser), there were no additional charges for the repeated visits or labour. The service men were polite and cheerful. They came when they said they would. They cleaned up before they left. This is a competent and honest company that I would have no reservations in recommending. Leon Bard. read more

Called them to fix my LG Fridge. The owner has an attitude problem and is extremely rude! I asked for a price estimate and asked them to explain how they will fix the fridge because I know it will be a difficult job so I don't want to have the technician to have to come back several times if they don't know what they are doing. I don't want to be stuck with a large bill. The owner said why don't you get Sears to fix it for you (knowing that Sears is going bankrupt) and I can't waste my time explaining things because my time is worth $45 for half hour! Wow, how rude and this is before they even come to my door. I was only on the phone with them for less than 5mins and they don't even have the patience to talk about the job. Can't trust these guys if they don't even have the patience to talk to you about a repair on the phone. If you hire them and get into a dispute in the future or if you are unsatisfied with the work, good luck on getting them to cooperate with you without charging you an arm and a leg!
