If the post person is behind, they will not attempt to deliver the package. They will just leave a card. LESSON - DO NOT RELY ON TRACKING 2. They do not deliver to your door. They are only required to deliver to where your mail goes. So, if your building has a designated area for mailboxes, the lobby, they are not required to knock on your door and deliver the package to you. It's up to the post persons discretion. 3. If the package is bigger than your mailbox expect to get a card in your mailbox. Why? Refer to number 2 above. LESSON - Canada post is not in the business of delivering packages. So, what have we learned? 1. The tracking information Canada Post updates means ZERO!! 2. Delivery in their vocabulary means, leave a card 3. USE FEDEX, DHL, CARRIER PIGEON! 4.
