The woman who works there is rude, abrupt, slow and inconsiderate. Most of the time it seems like she hates her job. When we moved in to our new house, before our community mail box was installed, we had to go here once a week to get our regular mail and she misfiled it for a month, all the while telling is we didn't have anything to pick up. When you're waiting for bills and parcels (for my wedding no less)... Lets just say it was insanely stressful. Other people in our neighbourhood had the same problems. It's too bad that mail delivery is determined by postal code and not proximity to a postal outlet. There is a closer outlet that provides much better service in a much nicer location.

There was no line up to speak of, which was nice as sometimes the post office lines ups are soo long. The girls helping me were very nice. They found my packages quickly and even offered to bring them to a side entrance as they were a bit heavy. Thankfully I had parked close so it was not an issue. Quick and friendly service all around.

I finally decided to review this Canada Post outlet because I had a "straw that broke the camels back" experience the other day. Any where between a quarter and a third of my packages end up either delayed, missorted, rerouted, returned to sender or even hopelessly lost because of the utter stupidity and incompetence of the postal clerks who work there. It's pretty bloody sad when a customer(me) has to tell a clerk how to do their job properly, but it happens all the time at this location. It seems that reading simple english and identifying numbers(you know, real tough kindergarden/grade school stuff) is beyond the comprehension of these pissants. They are either too lazy, too stupid or both to cross reference po box numbers with names, thus parcels and letters that "are here" aren't, and those that have been "returned to sender" are sitting on the shelf. At times they are so pathetic they can't even put a postal notice form in the right po box. I bet the people who work here couldn't get jobs pumping gas for minimum wage or holding a stop sign on a road construction crew. They are so dim witted I imagine they'd have a hard time chewing gum and trying to breathe at the same time. Whatever you do, do not either send or receive mailings at the Canada Post outlet in Londonderry Mall. Because if you do, there is a good chance you'll either get a bleeding ulcer, mental stress disorder or a drug addiction problem from dealing with the peons who work there.

I stood in-line to mail Christmas parcels with more than 20 other people, and I was really impressed with the attitude and helpfulness of the people working at the counter. They were so good with all the problems - even asking for volunteers to help an older women look up postal codes because she had forgotten her glasses. Compared to the outlet a few blocks down 118th ave., these guys actually earn your business.

The staff are outstanding and Canada Post Corp. needs to bring their service to the level that this postal outlet offers. I have used the pharmacy and like Mr. pharmacist but the Mrs should take time off and then come back with a better customer service attitude or take a lesson from the ladies in the post office section. Good selection of magazines and goodies which seem to cater to the Standard Life workers.

How many complaints would it take for this one to get its contract revoked? The main problem is that there's always an unbelievably long lineup. Don't even think about it on Fridays or the last day of the month, and if Friday's the last day of the month, you'll be lucky if the lineup isn't stretching out the Shoppers entrance. The problem? Chronically and woefully understaffed. I have--no joke--stood in line for 45 minutes on more than one occasion because they had one person behind the counter. It's happened to me often enough that I assume it's their usual manner of staffing. I've even had to wait for astronomically long periods of time when it's a slow day (Saturday) and there's hardly a line. I only come here because it's the closest outlet, and my packages are sent here when I miss the mail carrier. I think desperation might be this location's business model, 'cos it sure ain't timely service.
