Do not buy Canada Goose, their warranty isn't what you think! I purchased a coat some time ago and it had ripped due to an accident and there were some other issues that did fall under their warranty category, HOWEVER, they would not repair anything because it had a rip on it that was caused by an accident and I was even willing to pay extra to have it repaired. They will not do partial repairs of the parts of the coats that are failures on their parts if there is anything else wrong with it. I told them I would pay and they said no and then told me they're sending it back to me, COMPLETELY UNREPAIRED!! I was willing to pay what I needed to pay and they wouldn't even consider helping me. What is co sidereal a 'first world problem?' Maybe being required to stand in a line up for 30 minutes while waiting to drop $1500+ on some fancy outwear within an even fancier mall at Yorkdale? Wow this mall has changed some over the years, especially from when I was a wee one until now. Last year we went to Eaton Center's newer Canada Goose, and this year we decided to check out Eatkn Center for my wife's coat. Once I side you are paired with a personal assistant who provides directives to the folks in the back to bring out the desired items to try. My tip is to come in knowing what you want, instead of spending an hour scratching your head. Go online look at the colors and the helpful sizing chart. I think that Cassidy did a good job being patient and honest with the sizing. Completing the payment process quickly (they also accept cash, if your happen to be a high roller) and walk put with your fancy bag of Canada Goose. I was glad to find a canada goose jacket. I asked if they have sales because I have always heard that during the open box which is like our black Friday shopping sales. The sales associate was so serious like No sale. I have seen sales online before at department store websites. Which was strange and makes me think are they fake online or what. But I am happy that the sales associate explain that they are the flag ship store and they have both men's, woman and kids. The sales associate was super nice. We chatted and shared some jokes. And also talked about our shoe collections. And he was joking and asked if we could adopt him. Which was funny and he was surprised at my shoe collection. He asked if I had a posting of my shoes and how long I have been collecting... Then his co workers came over and joked with me about my shoe connects and my collection. I joked back and said there is always space for more shoes and items to add to my collection. But over all the staff at Canada goose is so friendly. Buyers beware: Canada goose warranty service is unbelievably compromised in terms of their service quality and repair process. I had sent in a 5 year CG jacket for inspection of down falling out disproportionately. Although they said "it had basically reached its practical lifetime warranty" - what ever subjective checklist that entails - and had sent it back through delivery to sender.. Upon receiving the item, I noticed the cuffs were altered by Canada Goose to the point that not only makes them aesthetically similar to a flaccid chode, but also with the poor sewn craftsmanship of having the outer layer jacket being sewn to the inner layer (see pictures). I immediately resent the jacket the next day through the help of Yorkdale's Canada Goose Warranty department. The purpose was to repair the cuffs which they had poorly altered. Several weeks later, with several email chains, as an organization that advocates for quality of product and loyalty to the customer base had come to a solution of declaring that I had the audacity to alter the cuffs through a third party and has been deemed not a responsibility of Canada Goose . If that happens I will send my garment in for repair and everything will be solved under the lifetime warranty? This is what they are waiting for at Canada Goose too. Besides that you will lose your item of clothing for a longer period of time, they will: - Stitch the cracks for you. - They don't do anything with the discoloration on buttons and zipper. - They do have a smart solution for discoloration in certain areas of the jacket. They will wash the coat in such a way that the discolorations will no longer be noticeable, because now the coat is completely discolored. Your fairly new (1 or 2 year old) garment will be washed in such a way that it will discolor all and be much duller than ever. Because the entire color of your garment has changed, you will not immediately notice this at first glance. Unfortunately, you also cannot immediately compare the current color of the washed jacket with the color of the jacket when it was sent to the repair center of Canada Goose. How can we sometimes recognize the loss of color after returning? The only possible way to make a comparison is to open the folded spots as below and see the difference. Asking for an explanation of the discoloration of the jacket. If you paid attention to your garment when you received it and you immediately noticed the discoloration, you will ask Canada Goose for an explanation. There is a great chance that you will receive the following response from them: "The washing has been carried out in a very professional manner, whereby the real condition / color of your garment has come up." I sent my beloved Trillium Parka to the Canada Goose Warranty to get a ripped pocket fixed. After paying to have it dry cleaned and repaired the jacket that was returned to me was nothing like the jacket I sent. I took it out of its garment bag on the first day of winter and was shocked to find it thin and completely devoid of the feathers and warmth that I bought it for. At first I thought I was misremembering how thick it was, and thought maybe it was as thin as a raincoat before, but then after going outside and freezing I realized that something was indeed not right. I've written to Canada Goose customer service who's only response was to send it back to warranty (the same warranty who destroyed my jacket) and see what they say. I cannot get a response from them, actually answering my question and for a $900 coat that is beyond rude. This is not right - I saved up for this jacket, and maybe that doesn't mean anything to Canada Goose but it does to me, and my jacket should be fixed or replaced, or at the very least a customer service representative should take the time to work this out. They sold us a jacket with HOLES, completely refused to help us with an exchange, and now expect us to pay even more of our time and money to have it repaired. The $1000 wasn't enough already? The jacket was my MIL's gift to my husband and she's absolutely heartbroken and feels at fault because she didn't see the damage beforehand. No, it's Canada Goose's fault 100% for selling a damaged product. Maybe it was previously returned and they decided to pass it off to my unsuspecting MIL. I also suspect the fabric is actually really cheap quality and with time, the wrath of the feathers inside of the coat will stab more holes all over the piece. We don't even want to keep it to find out but since there's nothing they can do, we are forced to. My excited MIL revealed her gift to my husband and I noticed feathers coming out of a random spot on a sleeve. Upon closer inspection, there were multiple HOLES! Really?! Who knows if this broken jacket was sold to my family on purpose because they were tourists with a language barrier. Seems like they definitely took advantage and have no respect for their customers once they've made payment. Tags are still on the unworn jacket and after having it for less than 2 days now (still wrapped up in their packaging) we were basically told "too bad, so sad" by customer service and that there's literally nothing they can do for us, and if we want to repair this brand new broken jacket, we'd have to pay for it. What's the point of the "lifetime warranty" then? It's just a complete lie. Also, where is the quality control? How are they selling $1000 coats with holes? Worst customer service ever and a joke when it comes to 'warrant'. Buyer beware. W I have purchased three Canada Goose jackets in the last 2 years - including the Salida Rain Jacket. I have recommended these jackets to everyone I've met as I believed so strongly in not only the quality but also the backing provided by the company via the warranty. Last month I met someone who had the same rain coat in the same colour - red - and was shocked to see her coat was so much brighter than mine. I knew the colour of my coat had faded - despite only being 1.5 years old - but I was shocked to see how different the colour was - when I compared it directly to the same one. It was honestly shocking. Mine is faded and has almost a white coating. I was aware the colour had changed - which shocked me - but comparing it directly to another coat was shocking. Customer Service told me to send it to the warranty center. I did this - at a cost of $55 - and they've replied to say there is no problem. I've exchanged multiple emails and each is more and more unhelpful. I asked to escalate my complaint and again was met by only passive aggressive responses. Why on earth would I risk damage sending my coat - not to mention the cost - if there was no problem. I'm honestly disappointed and disgusted. To make matters worse, I wrote a review explaining this on the Canada Goose website, only to receive an email saying it wouldn't be posted. Clearly only good reviews get posted. Great product, but worst customer service I've ever seen! BE CAREFUL WITH RETURNS! Bought 5 jackets last December and kept 1 of of them. I returned the other 4, and only got the refund for 3 of them. Worst possible customer service. I called and put a coat on hold for my elderly father to pick up. No problems, coat is on hold until end of the day. He gets there and there is an hour plus long line. He can't wait in that line - he can't stand for that long. It is an ability issue. I call the store, speak with a manager and say - we aren't shopping! We don't need to try anything on! Can he just enter the store, pay for the coat that is on hold, and leave? Nope. Okay, can I give you my card and buy it over the phone then and I will pick it up tomorrow? Nope. Can he give you the credit card, not even enter the store, and you bring him the coat? Nope. When we first got here we were super bummed because there was a line outside, but it moves fast and also keeps the hordes of people outside so you can shop in peace. You will eventually love the fact they do this. The customer service here was beyond on point. I ended up seeing a jacket I truly loved and they looked all over the place for the smaller size, but were out. The guy then listened to what I was looking for, rather the style I wanted and went and grabbed 3 coats he thought I would like and in the size/color I wanted. My husband bought me a Trillium Parka for Christmas. As it was a gift, he removed the tags and receipt. The parka ended up being too big and I tried to exchange it. They do not allow exchanges. You have to return, then buy the one you want. I was told I could not return my coat as the tag was no longer on it. We still had the boxes and receipt, but one tag was missing. Now I'm stuck with a very expensive coat that doesn't fit. The customer service was terrible. I called three times. The first time they said they would speak to a manager about a special exception to return the coat without a tag. They promised to get back to me. They did not get back to me. The second time the same thing happened. The third time they told me no they would not take the coat back or even give store credit so I could get the correct size. After three calls there was no resolution to my problem. Frustrating policy for a coat at this price point. Terrible customer service. I would not recommend this company. I would advise you to never buy these coats as gifts, because if the style or size is not what the receiver wants/needs you will be out of luck and $1600. read more

They said they could not repair it. And told me I have 3 or so coats I must pick as replacement. Non were similar in warmth and style if what I had. I saw the same coat on their website in Canada. They refused to get it for me. Since Covid-19 and Luting in the Chicago store I could see and try the coats. After 18 emails and over 20 phone calls I got a coat 4 months later that was not sewn correctly. Apparently they ship 2nd's for replacement. The coat was lower warmth grade and I ended up selling it on eBay. They had no follow up. read more

Beware, Canada Goose is using inferior/cheap lining on many of their expensive coats. I purchased a winter coat for over $1,000 and after only a couple of wears the lining near armpit ripped. I mailed it back to Canada Goose expecting it to be covered under their warranty. However, after multiple emails and phone conversations with customer service (all interactions were very robotic and corporate-speak) they refused to cover the repairs. I came in here with a few friends yesterday on a long weekend trip to Toronto. When we entered the store, one of the associates greeted us and asked if we needed any help. What he really meant was that he had his eye on us and would be breathing down our necks until we left, because he had determined that we were definitely going to steal something. Now, I get it. This is an expensive brand, and I would expect a level of security inside the store. But this guy was seriously obnoxious. He stood about three feet behind me the entire time I shopped. If I took a step to the left, so did he. Two steps to the right, and he did the same. It almost seemed like he was trying to send a message, which I found odd, since my friends and I were well-dressed, didn't look threatening, and weren't even taking coats off the racks. I came into the store wanting to touch and feel the product and possibly make a purchase, but I left after about five minutes because the store associate's aggression became so uncomfortable. In a way, I probably owe him a favor, because I live in Atlanta and have no legitimate need for a $1,000 winter coat. I've been a loyal customer of Canada Goose since 2011 when I bought my first Parka. At this time they were only available at Sporting Life in Toronto and was not as popular as it is today. As their brand increased in popularity, the primary thing they use to advertise their product at the Canada Goose store is "lifetime warranty". The warranty on the official website claims: "we stand behind each one" "fully warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product - which means the usual and customary wearable life of the product, by the original owner" "If a product fails due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair the product free of charge, or replace it at our discretion. If the exact style is not available for replacement, a product of equal value and similar style will be provided" Everything sounds amazing right, but if you read it fully "This warranty does not cover any repairs needed due to accidents, improper care, negligence, or normal wear and tear. For any damage not covered under the warranty, Canada Goose may offer to repair the damage for a reasonable charge." Having read this, I felt very confident that I could send in my jacket for repair at a reasonable price. After wearing it for 5+ years, the jacket's colour has faded, the sleeves are a little ripped up, down is not as warm and there is a hole on the elbow. These are very minor problems and I thought they could fix it up so that I could wear this jacket again. I was delighted that I could restore such an old jacket and fully supported the brand. However, the warranty team sent an email back stating: "The issues found with your jacket are deemed as accidental damage as well as normal wear and tear for products of this age, and are not covered under Canada Goose's warranty. In cases where we are unable to make a repair under warranty, we will often offer repairs for a nominal fee, however in the case of your coat we are unable to match that shade of black cloth from our repair inventory. Although Canada Goose does still produce garments in the same color as your jacket, none of the fabric in our inventory is an exact match for your jacket in its current state. When fabric is exposed to the elements and has gone through multiple wash or dry clean cycles, it is expected to change from its original color, so getting the exact shade becomes increasingly difficult and sometimes impossible. We understand that this was not the result you expected, and we want you to know that our warranty team thoroughly inspected your jacket before reaching the decision that it could not be repaired without causing further damage to your jacket. We will be returning your jacket to you, at our expense, within the next 10 days or upon your reply." I was extremely disappointed by their response, so apparently you don't stand behind every jacket. What kind of jacket will you cover under this warranty, especially since mine is such a minor issue? I just wanted some simple repairs done, but it's not covered under the lifetime warranty. Why claim that you stand behind every jacket? What do you guys think? So Canada Goose finally opened up in Yorkdale Mall. I personally already have a goose and we were looking to get one for my dad. We went during the week, and realized there was already a line at the store to just get inside. There's two different security guards standing to help you out outside of the store. A lot of people asked is the store was having a sale since there was a line up outside, but nope there wasn't any sale going on. The line moved in pretty fast, as soon as we got inside i realized how small the store is. We were directed towards the men's section of the store which was just on the right side. The only issue we had was finding the size, and getting someone to help us out. Once we would find someone we would lose them within a second cause everyone would be hounding that one person. Overall the staff was really nice, but sadly we didn't find the size we were looking for. I'll just buy what I need online from now on, it's way to crowded in store. read more

The material and the offerings this brand has for Winter wear is of no match to any other brand and hence the price does all the justice. It comes with a 10 year warranty, what else would you need. 2. Such stores are always jam packed and its very difficult for any sales associate to handle multiple at the same time. Yes, even if you deploy a soldier of sales men, its not enough for such a store 3. What they offer is promising and they do no compromise on quality or safety when it comes to winter wear. 4. The sales associate 'Luna' was super sweet to us. Though it was the peek of season and super busy, she was kind enough to answer every question and took time to explain every detail of the varieties they had at the store. Save your money and buy another brand! Customer service is horrible and the warranty team is horrible! I am not a picky person at all and understand wear and tear. I had my jacket for less than a year before I had to submit for warranty for stitching. I live in VA and wore the jacket max 2 months. It was not worn all day. I submitted my jacket to warranty. I received it a few months later which is crazy. My jacket did not look like the same. My fur sheds and seemed to not be the same. The lady at the warranty center said they could have given me somoeone elses fur which is disgusting. My jacket was returned looking like its been worn for many years. I sent it back as it had issues still and upset at the fact that my jacket looks many years old even though it was less than a year old. Warranty team has done "another exaimination" and feels that it has been worn alot. I live in VA. It's not that cold here. I even have my receipt but that does not matter. Sent it to the LIFETIME WARRANTY department within a week of buying the jacket and I received absolutely the worst customer service I have ever had. The response from Canada Goose was beyond abysmal. They said that since they had proof that it left their warehouse with no tears so they absolutely would not do anything for me. This was a MANAGER that I spoke to!
