I'll say this upfront... I like Gap Kids and Baby Gap. I shopped a lot at this brand but this…read moreparticular has always failed miserably at service. Compared to most other big mall Gap kids stores, this one is a bit on the smaller size but manages to jam in as much inventory as possible. You really feel it being cramped compared to other Gap kids. This makes for the most frustrating experience because you have 20 moms there with carriers, prams, and running kids all fighting for the same tiny aisle spaces. I really do like the Gap Kids quality and esthetics... my Sherway review should show that. I like it also because the constant sales make it a great way to find good clothes at affordable prices. Yorkdale is no different in terms of inventory and quality compared to Sherway Gardens. It has lots of choices from infant to size 14/16 kids and they're not scratchy or obnoxiously poorly styled. The cashier service is possibly the worst in all Gap stores. Each time I've shopped here, I've waited over 15 minutes on a good day. They're slow, inefficient, and poorly managed. When you know you have a busy window (right after lunch on Saturdays), why do you only have half the tills open with 6 associates on the floor. I'd take an associate off the floor and move the 10++ people in the cashier line out. Their cashier process is a painful bottleneck and it creates even less space to walk about in the store as it spills into the retail space. Just horrible management. I try not to shop here but sometimes you find a great deal and you just eye roll with fellow moms in the line up. I've chatted a few other moms and we all have the same painful thoughts about this store.

Years ago, my friend gave me something in a Zara bag. The item that was gifted to me wasn't from…read moreZara. I asked him if he shopped there often. He didn't, but his wife was a fan. I have remembered that bag ever since. I had never dropped by any Zara store until recently. It happened to be at this Zara at Yorkdale Shopping Centre, roughly an hour before a scheduled event at Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. This store is not all that far away from it. What prompted me to visit Zara? A collaboration between Pet Shop Boys and Zara. There are four t-shirts and a canvas tote bag created as part of the PSB line at Zara. The four t-shirts are mostly PSB albums, with the exception of Love etc., which is a song, and is both a t-shirt and tote bag at Zara. I frankly wanted the tote bag the most and was elated when I found it in the men's section. This Zara has two floors, with men's and children's clothing on the top floor, and women's clothing on the main floor. I immediately snagged a bag. Steps away was the Super t-shirt. It has the Super album logo on the front and its list of songs on the back. It dawned on me that this line is for men. However, the t-shirt felt unisex to me. As usual, I don't know what size I wear when I visit a store in which I own nothing clothing-wise. The fitting rooms had a long lineup that I did what I normally do. I tried this t-shirt on over the t-shirt that I was wearing. I found the right size right off the bat and looked at myself in the mirror steps away from the PSB section. Perfect. Done! I headed to the cashout area to pay for my items. There was one woman staffer handling a rather massive order with a male customer and it was a long wait. There was another man ahead of me. I am so patient that I wonder where I got that from. When it was my turn, I talked to the nice woman. Part of the reason why it takes longer than most cashout areas is that for every article of clothing that comes with a clothes hanger, the staffer walked over to hang it up, and returned to the register to continue. I am all for keeping things tidy, but this process comes with an inefficient overhead. Anyway, I had just got paid (my paycheque was deposited within minutes after I was in line, which feels like I won the jackpot, but not really) and used my debit card to pay for my items. I tapped and was great. I got my goodies in a paper shopping bag with handles. I loved it. I thanked the woman, who shut her register down after my purchases, with a colleague taking over her duties. I then headed down the escalato, and walked out of the store. There is one entrance dedicated to exiting. I entered the store from another entrance. The flow was good, while still maintaining physical distancing. Since then, I have ordered the three remaining t-shirts online to complete my PSB-Zara collection. The t-shirts are so comfortable to wear! The other three cover PSB's Format and Suburbia albums, and the Love etc. single. The tote is a winner! There's a hidden pocket with a zipper inside the tote. I love it. It's so roomy and lovely. It makes sense why Zara and PSB would collaborate on a line. They both embrace minimalism and clean design. I had a great first couple of experiences at Zara's, both at this store and online. We'll see if I come back for more limited edition collections. (300)

There are so many options for size, clothes and for shoes compared to any other Nike store I've ever been to in Toronto. They have three massive sections filled with options for women, kids and men. The door greeter last night was literally the nicest person I've ever met, he was so sweet and joking with us while we waited in line to get in. he made us aware of all of the promotions going on in the store. This is officially my favourite Nike store, the reason I went in was because I wanted a Nike mask... Unfortunately they did not have any available for purchase but I will keep the five stars

First time at the new store at least 3 weeks ago…read more Store looks great. Went to the wall at the back immediately as I was look for new shoes. I'm worked in retail when I was still in school I get service industry but I hate dumb / inefficient sales people. I'm looking at the wall of shoes and 2 sales guys are right in front of me. I'm trying to look behind them and they finally stopped their chit chat and greeted me and asked if they can help me with anything. I said hi and asked them if they can move so I can see the shoes behind them. I'm really rolling my eyes. Then I moved to the left at to look at the Jordan's. There were two colour ways Jordan 1 mids. The more muscular sales approached me and started telling me they are selling really well. He assumed I have no idea what I was looking and proceeded telling me there might be no sizes and they sell well and the resale market is crazy. I'm thinking in mg head, "Boy, I actually watched Jordan, Pippen, Drexler games when I was a kid. I still have a pair of Jordans from my high school years. I know how Jordan and the brand." Told him my size and asked him to bring both colour ways if he has them. Well he checked one, came out, stopped to talk to an different sales person between me and him about something else before he got to me to say he doesn't have the size. Dude, you can just tell me and not make me wait! Anyways, we figured out we miscommunicated the wrong size and he'll look again. He came back out with 1, forgot to check on the other colour again. He is with this 2nd sales rep who is clearly more seasoned, older with a moustache. We chatted and he noticed my frustration with the younger sales. Younger sales came back no luck with the other colour way. I'm struggle to undo the laces to try it on... the kid is yapping with the older sales in front of me. The older rep noticed I'm having trouble and he started helping me with the shoes while the kid is just standing there. The floor manager really need to train these kids. I get you guys wanna hang out but you are terrible at your job. I wanted to shop more but I don't want to give this sales guy his sales quota and numbers. He does not deserve it. Cashiers were nice and friendly. Wanted to explore the store and get stuff for my friend's kid and possibly buy more but definitely don't want to be served by this kid again even the guy at the KitKat store is so much better, friendly, smart with product knowledge and sold better. Nike, send your trainee to KitKat ...

Do not buy Canada Goose, their warranty isn't what you think!…read moreI purchased a coat some time ago and it had ripped due to an accident and there were some other issues that did fall under their warranty category, HOWEVER, they would not repair anything because it had a rip on it that was caused by an accident and I was even willing to pay extra to have it repaired. They will not do partial repairs of the parts of the coats that are failures on their parts if there is anything else wrong with it. I told them I would pay and they said no and then told me they're sending it back to me, COMPLETELY UNREPAIRED!! I was willing to pay what I needed to pay and they wouldn't even consider helping me. Everything I've read from them indicates they will repair it, even if there is a charge. NOPE!

Wow this mall has changed some over the years, especially from when I was a wee one until now. Last year we went to Eaton Center's newer Canada Goose, and this year we decided to check out Eatkn Center for my wife's coat. Once I side you are paired with a personal assistant who provides directives to the folks in the back to bring out the desired items to try. My tip is to come in knowing what you want, instead of spending an hour scratching your head. Go online look at the colors and the helpful sizing chart. I think that Cassidy did a good job being patient and honest with the sizing. Completing the payment process quickly (they also accept cash, if your happen to be a high roller) and walk put with your fancy bag of Canada Goose. Just be prepared to line up and with a clear idea of what you want.-Zuk
