Our first experience there was a couple months ago to look into strollers/car seats and we had the best experience with Philip, who walked us through all of the options available to us based on the stroller we were being gifted. He helped us practice collapsing and setting up the stroller, and then talked about the pros and cons of basically every compatible car seat. He was so knowledgeable, funny, and we felt really good after leaving. We didn't purchase that day because we wanted to do more research, but he's the type of employee that after we spent time with him, I insisted we find the manager and tell her how wonderful he was. We returned last week, we were looking for a crib and I'll admit it was definitely busier and I get the impression the employees have their "areas" where they're more knowledgeable. The woman who was talking about cribs was busy with another couple and we spent quite a bit of time hanging out on the chairs/gliders while waiting for our turn to talk to her. She was very nice, not the most helpful with cribs (it does sort of boil down to what aesthetic you're looking for, I guess, since they all meet safety standards) but talked us through all of the mattress choices and explained them all. We had to place an order for the crib we wanted, which they had already ordered 4 and we were put "on the list", and they called 5 days later to say it was in and ready for pick up. All of our experiences here have been very smooth, very positive, and I hope that continues to be the case because I'm sure we'll have a few more visits there before baby arrives.

Holts, Saks, and Burberry in my local area were not carrying kids clothes, I made my way out to Vaughn on Saturday and on the outside it appears to be like every other place in a plaza but walking in I was overwhelmed with cuteness. I have never seen so many adorable designer outfits in my life. This place had Gucci, Burberry, Armani, Fendi..LOVED IT! It even had some Burberry and Balenciaga diaper bags which were so adorable. I went to the store 2 days ago to sell some toys and new to nearly new clothes. When I first walked in, I was plain ignored. Absolutely no hello, welcome to the store. Then after 2 min. or so one associate glanced at me and finally asked: "Are you here to sell?". I had 3 bags in my hands! When I answered, her reply was: "It's a long wait. 1 hour!" When I said that I called before coming in, saying it was my first time selling clothes and asked about procedures, I was not told that the wait time is this long. She snapped back at me that it's first come, first serve and 3 more people just came in before me. Then she simply turned back to the computer. There were a lot of customers and since I don't know the procedure I thought I needed to wait. Well, 3 min. later she glanced at me again and said with a surprise:"Oh, you decided to wait? Then fill out a form". What form, where? She was too busy to talk with me any further, so I had to figure out which form and basically observe other customers to find out about tags with your name that you have to put on every bag. Then I was ignored for another 8 or so min. until finally I asked another lady and she let me know that I could just leave the bags and come back in 1 hour. But it must be 1-1.5 hours, because it's same day service, I was told. In 1 hr, I've received less then an average of $1.5 dollars per item that were new to almost new condition! I just got the money back for gas that I've spend driving back and forth to this place, oh, and terrible service!!! It would've been nice for at least one of three ladies to look up at customers and say something along the lines of "I'll be with you in a minute"!

The quality is superior in all of their dresses and I wanted to buy every dress in the store for my daughter. Owner was very helpful giving suggestions with styles and sizing. I ended up getting the one flower girl dress for my 14 months old daughter and it fits her so well. Lastly, I can't believe how affordable it was too as compared to bridal stores that charges average few hundred dollars. I will definitely be revisiting for future special occasion dresses.

But I never really had reason to purchase these pint sized items. But with a niece and another on the way I'm in full aunty mode. Although I find kids clothing expensive in general given the size of the clothing and how quickly it gets outgrown (not to mention dirty) Hatley's pricing is quite reasonable, especially if it's on sale - then if you can think far enough in advanced (or don't mind having last seasons prints) there are some fantastic bargains to be had. I just picked up the most adorable raincoat for my niece (on sale of course) and am putting it in the mail tomorrow!
