I am writing to formally complain about the conduct of a sales associate during my recent visit to…read moreyour store on August 29th at 4:19 pm. I found the interaction inappropriate, presumptuous, and inconsistent with the level of professionalism I would expect from a customer-facing employee. Upon entering the store, the sales associate greeted me by saying, "Hey Mama." I was taken aback by this and asked her directly why she was referring to me as "Mama." Rather than acknowledging that the comment was inappropriate or simply apologizing, she responded, "I assume you were a mama." I left your store immediately. I find this response particularly concerning. The sales associate did not know me, had no personal information about me, and had no basis for making an assumption about my personal circumstances. Regardless of what she may have intended, referring to a customer as "Mama" based on an assumption about their appearance, pregnancy, or parental status is presumptuous and crosses an appropriate professional boundary.

I don't have kids, so what the heck do I know about buying gifts for them? Answer - nothing! And…read morethat's why a store like Little Peeps is great. They have em. I last went there for pajamas for myself and was very impressed with the service. Kathy offered pajama fitting advice (you need to move around, she said) as well as offered to let me take them home, try them on, and return them for a different size. I thought, 'how nice!' The pajamas are great quality (60% cotton apparently) thick and luxurious with the classic styling we all are familiar with including the piping around the edges and the breast pocket. This place is worth a look if you are in the neighbourhood.

But I never really had reason to purchase these pint sized items. But with a niece and another on the way I'm in full aunty mode. Although I find kids clothing expensive in general given the size of the clothing and how quickly it gets outgrown (not to mention dirty) Hatley's pricing is quite reasonable, especially if it's on sale - then if you can think far enough in advanced (or don't mind having last seasons prints) there are some fantastic bargains to be had. I just picked up the most adorable raincoat for my niece (on sale of course) and am putting it in the mail tomorrow!

For example during the holidays, they had all the Santa and snowmen fleece onesies and Christmas outfits at the front for easy browsing. They also do a lot of promotions and clearance sales once in a while. The selection of toys are decent and most are very used not gently used but the clothing selection is great. In the back there are also many bins filled with shoes and sometimes the sizes are not sorted well but still decent selection for each size. Staff are nice and checkout is always a breeze. Have yet to sell anything to them so can not say for that end but as a buyer I'm satisfied and do keep coming back to check out new stock.

The woman who sucks is the brunette Caucasian girl. I was the only person in the store and she didn't even help me at all. The other girl, of darker complexion, was way better once she came off break, but I was already too aggravated to want to buy anything. This has happened THREE TIMES NOW. I sort of want to ask them when the white girl works so I can just avoid her altogether. Besides being overpriced, I've seen a number of pieces of clothing from nightwear to baby wear that has stains on it. The first thing I chocked up as a one time item stain, but now it's been enough that I don't understand what's going on (although looks like an oil stain). Anyway, customer service is awful and everything is overpriced. If I didn't HAVE MONEY THERE TO SPEND, I wouldn't go back.

I hadn't ever been in before and was the only customer in the store. What drew me in was the mid-season sale advertised in the window. I tried on a dress that looked gorgeous on the hanger, but just wasn't quite right. The staff paid no attention to me in the dressing room. No questions about fit or if they could help find something different. I left without purchasing anything. Selection looked quite extensive and they carry some nice lines, but ZERO customer service.
