    Caracoles

My wife and I had a mediocre lunch experience at Ca'n Toni. We tried the Patatas Bravas, Caracoles, and Cochinillo. The Patatas Bravas were pretty good. The potatoes were savory: crisp on the outside, soft of the inside and topped with a lightly spicy sauce. The Caracoles (Snails) were tender and cooked in a mixture of spicy sausages and chorizo. Finally, the Cochinillo (Suckling Pig) was very disappointing. The pig, which is supposed to be the restaurant's specialty and is cooked in a wood fired oven, was mostly inedible. The skin was hard as a rock and there was significantly more fat than actual meat. The meat itself lacked much flavor. Overall, Ca'n Toni feels more like a tourist trap than a local favorite because the food isn't nearly as good as other restaurants in the area and the restaurant focuses on larger portions at higher prices.

Hands down, the best meal award in Palma de Mallorca goes to this place! It's been over 2 months since we left Palma and I still dream about the roast suckling pig and black ink squid paella my husband and I had. This place was actually recommended to us by a local so we knew we had to try it. The restaurant itself is super simple, not fancy like the other restaurants catered to tourists. The wait staff was super friendly and attentive with all our requests. We order sangria to start and boy was it strong! The roast suckling pig was amazing! I've eaten roast suckling pig since I was a kid, and this by far, was one of the best ones I've ever had. The dish was served with salad and potatoes. However, the highlight was the black ink squid paella! It was the best paella I had in all of Palma. The last time I had a great black ink squid dish was in Croatia. This brought back memories of Croatia and I still can't stop thinking how great the paella was. The rice was cooked just right. The squid was tender and not overcooked/rubbery. Every bite of the paella burst with flavor. The portion size for the dishes were huge. One dish could actually feed 2 people. At the end of our meal, the waiter came over and offered us complimentary shots - how sweet! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic restaurant in Palma. You won't be disappointed.

I sat in the outside patio seating. Was really nice. Place is quite busy. Service was friendly and quick. Ordered the squid ink paella and fried anchovies. The fried anchovies are good. I ordered the half portion and it was a very large serving. The squid ink paella was not good. The rice didn't have the crispiness to it. It had some clams, 1 prawn, and some red bell pepper strips in it. Nothing else. Very plain. I don't think it even had squid in the dish. It did come with a nice garlic butter. That was actually quite good. They automatically bring you olives and bread, which is 2 euro. I wouldn't visit again. But it was good rest stop in my exploration of Palma

Mallorca fish (baked in pine nut, scallion, onion, tomatoe goodness)

Wow! The fish here is cooked to perfection. PERFECTION! I ordered the Mallorca baked fish specialty. First they showed us the pan that the fish was hidden in a mixture filled with potatoes, scallions, Pine nuts, raisins and tomatoes...then after d-boning the fish they presented us with our entree. Also the Jamon and melon dish sprinkled with olive oil and their specialtywas very nice.

Great service, great paella and great sangria. The restaurant is very appealing on the inside and overall one of my favorite spots in Palma. I would definitely come back!

Not that bad, just definitely not a 4 stars place. The atmosphere was cute and chill, the vibe was Spanish but the food was just mediocre. Knowing Spanish food, I know it can be much much better. Super basic, and its relevant mostly for tourists that have no idea what to expect. 2 stars tops.

Best meal we had in Mallorca. We went there for the paella (which was amazing) but also had a few of the local Mallorca specialities - e.g. stuffed aubergine via recommendation. The local red wine was great, and while waiting they served us the house table red - quite tasty as well. Parking is a nightmare, garage parking highly recommended 5min walking away. Fyi - There is another Ca'n Toni South of the airport make sure you don't go to that one like we did, Google maps can be a tad unreliable here.

Very good paella, good service. They had lots of local fare on the menu, like rabbit and suckling pig. We had a paella(yes I know, wrong region) but still one of the best seafood paellas Ive had.

Wonderful people, delicious food, and awesome ambiance. Had the traditional roast pigs hanging from the ceilings and a nice roasted pig getting sliced up as many people appetizer order. The seafood paella was delicious and the cuttlefish was so yummy. I'm sure any order on the Mallorca's specialty list they had would have been a nice choice. Most workers here spoke Spanish but they had a few who understood English and the menu had English as well. Get here early or get a reservation because by 8pm and onwards on the weekends it is jammed.

    Great paella!

If you want an authentic experience, I can highly recommend this place. Off a small side street, it's packed from 18:00 onwards every night. They told me they do about 150-170 guests a night. We had a sampling of the calamari, grilled octopus, croquettes and paella and I can recommend them all. Do yourself a favor, get a jug of sangria, it's fabulous!

By far the best lunch we had during our 14 days in the Mediterranean !!! The octopus a la gallega, the cochinillo, the lamb chops, the black paella, the fish! Everything was sooooo good! And it's such a tiny spot but it was marvelous. The service was also very good!

We travelled from the Unites States on our honeymoon just to eat their Paella. Delicious!!!!

Our first night in Mallorca and this restaurant was on a list recommended by the brides. You can…read moresee why they love it here because the vibes, the food, and the service were great. We were a party of 6 and they took us upstairs through what felt like a maze of tables and parties enjoying wine and tapas. I already had fallen in love with the ambiance that felt cozy and intimate. We were seated and proceeded to order a ton of starters. One of the highlights were the oytsers which were dressed with shrimp, the pan con tomate, the burrata salad and the cochinillo main. Wow. That pork was divine, and we all agreed it was the star of the night. Our friendly server also recommended two different wines - a white from the area and a red. Both were great and perfect pairings with our meal. We ended with dessert which was torrejas and a homemade strawberry ice cream. I loved them both. Would definitely put this spot on your list when in Palma. It's in the walkable area of town so pop in and explore before and after.

I ordered the beef tartar which was highly recommended & this was a first for me. The flavors were out of this world & perfectly seasoned. I also tried the suckling pig (very juicy, nice crispy outside & tender inside with wonderful flavor) which sat on top of thinly sliced potatoes & came with a side salad. I was extremely satisfied & would love to go back to try other dishes. I HIGHLY recommend this excellent restaurant!
