Wonderful staff right above the beach. Great everything. Landed here by accident and had a wonderful time. Met a young couple from UK. A wedding dress business owner and her husband a civil engineer. Super nice staff. Really great for both food and hospitality. We plan on going back and visiting again with Eduardo our host, Radim and Alati. I seriously mean the whole experience is one of the best I've ever had for a casual spot and reasonable prices.

We stayed in Barcelona at the Hotel Arts and wanted a place close to the hotel for our first night in Barcelona after a long international flight in. Our hotel concierge recommended Can Fisher and I'm glad they did! The hotel concierge made reservations for us about a month or so in advance and we arrived about 5-10 minutes prior to our dinner reservation and were seated promptly and were greeted warmly by the host. Our server came by a few minutes later after we were seated and offered to answer any questions we had on the menu. He was very nice, and we had several other servers wait on us as well that were also all very nice. We ordered the liter of red sangria to start for 23 euros, and it was very good! For an appetizer, we started with the Catalan bread for 3 euros, along with the Iberian ham for 19 euros. We also ordered a few croquettes for a few euros each. All of the starters were absolutely amazing! For our entree, we ordered the Chicken Paella for 23 euros a person. The paella was a large portion served in a skillet and was plenty big for two people to share. The paella was absolutely the best paella I have ever tasted and was extremely flavorful! Can Fisher was a great place to start our Barcelona trip and I'm so glad we tried the restaurant!

Nice spot if you're looking for a restaurant by the beach that can seat large parties both in and outdoors. Has good beach vibes suitable for both casual and business casual dining. Food is okay, as you'll find better around. Service is sub-par. With a packed restaurant maybe the staff was overwhelmed, but to forget an order, check on the status 35 minutes later, then come back another 30 minutes later to say items have ran out is far from great.

Veery overpriced and expensive experience that felt like a tourist trap. We paid almost 200€ for a lobster paella that from its portion was only enough to feed two people. The taste was average, I had better ones in Barcelona and I wouldn't order it again not even for 40€. The mushroom and cheese croquette were good. The red shrimp croquettes was not. The cheese cake at the end was alright. Wouldn't recommend.

Barcelona, beach and seafood! You can't go wrong with this tasty option... pitchers of sangria and fresh cocktails, accompanied by fresh cuisines from the sea make this a definite destination eating stop. Staff is very friendly however it helps to speak a little Spanish. Open restaurant with great beach front views allows the breeze to make a perfect day! Casual, beach attire, family friendly environment. Love it here!

My least favorite meal in Spain. I was dining solo and did not feel the staff paid me any attention. They dropped off menus and did not come back for 15 mins or so and asked me what I wanted. I didnt know there was paella and specials of the night until I oberheard a waiter telling another table. Service was extremely slow. I had the rice with prawns and mussels....it was OK, nothing to rave about and wish there was more seafood,. The shrimp were very small once you removed the head and shell. The only good part was the view beautiful from the outside table but I had to move in because it got too cold.

Nice ambiance along the strand, overlooking the water. Ordered the black arrow paella (recommended by waiter) with seafood. Seafood tasted fresh, but clams were small and over grilled in my opinion, shrimp could use a bit more seasoning, squid was yum. Rice was good but a little too salty. Overall, not bad. Tomato on bread a bit bland for me, bread a little too crunchy for me. Paired it with white vino per recommendation and it was nice. Would I go here again, maybe not. Friendly service, food may take a while.

Before our trip to Barcelona, I did some research on beachfront restaurants that were not to touristy, and I had good food and Can Fisher came up on the list so we decided to give it a try. Location is really great, and is probably the best thing about this spot. Service was not great especially considering that it is a large tourist crowd, it took us a while to flag someone down to get drinks, etc.. food overall was good, but not the best paella I had while in Spain, and the prices are definitely inflated because of the beach side location. I would say that if you are looking for a beach side spot like we were, this is probably one of your better options but if you just want paella or seafood in general they are probably better options.

Lobster paella

A great spot on the beach for lunch! The view was wonderful and the food was delicious.

House bread (one white, one olive). Olive bread was WAY too strong for us but we quickly devoured the white bread.

Service was slow, overworked staff. Restaurant smelled very fishy and our rice dish had very over cooked and under seasoned meat.

This restaurant was literally right next to our stay in Barcelona--skipping it felt like a crime,…read moregiven the rave reviews. So, on a rainy afternoon, we gave it a shot. We arrived just after lunch opening and were the first customers. The guy at the counter was... efficient. He simply told us to pick what we wanted, tossed it in a bin, and that was that. No explanation of pricing or preparation methods. When we asked how they'd cook it, he casually offered "fried or grilled." Obviously, we chose grilled--why fry fresh seafood? We picked two giant prawns, two octopus tentacles, and two fish (since hubby can't have shellfish). He asked if we wanted salad or soup--reviews hyped the soup, so we went with that. Then he handed us a receipt, told us we were order #3, and sent us to the bar. At the bar, we ordered two sangrias and a water. The bartender asked if we wanted bread and sauce. Sure, why not? We assumed they were included. Surprise! The tiny baguettes cost €0.50 each, and the mystery "house sauce" (a questionable mix of thousand island and horseradish) was an extra €1. We only realized the charge when we saw the total: €73. Oh well, too late now. Then came the food pickup experience--chaotic, to say the least. The server practically barked at us to bring our receipt, aggressively crossed off items, and handed over soups and octopus, crammed onto a greasy tray. No effort at plating, just food haphazardly dumped onto plates. The second round--grilled fish and prawns--was more of the same. Now, the verdict: Soup (5/5) - Delicious and reasonably priced at €6. Would order again. Bread & Sauce (0/5) - Not free, not worth it. Hard pass. Octopus (€31.80 for two tentacles, 1/5) - Overpriced, greasy, and drowning in molten salt. Basically, eating a sodium bomb. Grilled Fish (€10.50 & €8.50, 3/5) - Decent, but unnecessarily oily. Grilled Prawns (€5.59, 0/5) - Mushy, not fresh, and borderline inedible. Final thoughts? Not worth it. With so many incredible food spots in Barcelona, why waste your meal quota here? If you want quality seafood, go to Cervecería Catalana--we spent €5 more, but a meal a thousand times better. Spend wisely and eat like a king.

I've had fried anchovies before but this was too heavy for us - Octopus: This was a bit oily but but not as much as the anchovies. Potatoes were nice and soft and absorbed all the sauces. - Small Clams: My favorite dish out of all we've ordered. Although the clams were small, the sauce it was cooked in was delicious! [Service] - Line up, order what you want, some seafood have various cook styles so they will ask you which you'd prefer, pay, find a table, and pick up at the pick up window once your buzzer goes off. [Ambiance] - Mainly indoor seating with 2 tables outdoors [Overall] - Would come back again as I love this kind of seafood eateries! Will definitely try other dishes next time as well

Hands down, a must-visit when you're in Barcelona!…read more Make sure to have Google Translate ready so you don't miss out on the freshest seafood. We must've ordered eight rounds of the small clams -- the kids couldn't stop eating them! They were perfectly sweet, with just the right touch of garlic and butter. The mackerel was incredible -- it literally melts in your mouth. And for the carb lovers, the buñuelos de bacalao were unreal -- fluffy, light, and something I could eat every single day. Of course, the squid was fantastic too... but honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu here.

The only dish I wasn't a big fan of was their octopus as it was a bit chewy and I didn't love the flavor. Service: Don't expect the most attentive service as they're pretty busy and things move pretty quickly. However, staff are very nice and welcoming. Atmosphere: Pretty much a hole in the wall and nothing fancy. A few tables inside so I would recommend getting there as early as possible as you may have to wait a pretty long time to get a table. Space is very small so expect tables to be very close together and not a lot of room to pass through when going to the bathroom. More suitable for smaller parties.
