The workers are immediately friendly the second you walk through the door, and they're helpful with their input on making a decision. The pizza was absolutely amazing and to my standards, how I believe a Ny style pizza should be. Undercarriage was cooked perfectly and I had an amazing small crunch with each bite, but the dough wasn't hard like a cracker... it's still soft with each bite. I've always driven by this location but never stopped in. I had a coupon and decided to give it a try. Ordered ahead so it was hot and fresh upon arrival. We ordered a large cheese pizza, a large pepperoni pizza, and garlic knots. Loved the pizza. Not too saucy with great flavor. Very thin NY style in texture. They do not offer tap water and all drinks are available in a fridge. The garlic knots had a lot of flavor. I would ask for less next time. The staff was helpful and gave us plates and napkins as needed. The dining room was large and clean. Very quiet. Overall a great experience! read more

I'm just not a fan of what they call "Rochester style pizza". It has all of the off-putting of Buffalo pizza with too much cheese and sweet sauce in a puffy crust. Honestly, Rochester style really isn't a unique to ROC pizza at all... Coming from the Tri-State area and spending my summers in NNY....we go to the Cam's in Watertown. Cam's story is kind of cool...he's from Long Island and went to SUNY Brockport. It's a legit NYC slice...they have the chili flakes garlic and oregano shakers and the crust is crisp. Def not the best NYC slice I've had (prob 7.5/10), but good for Rochester. Plus I'm originally from CT, so I am tough w this subject. read more

Ok it's Pizza and yes a chain.. but this location is in some ways a hidden gem. Meaning it's one of those locations you might miss. It's behind the McDonalds and across the street from the Target/Taco Bell and etc. The inside is not too large but they have seating and a large board above where you order to figure out what you want. Considering Covid and what's going on they said we could eat inside. Sorry kids for the short term that's a no for me, but they have an outdoor with tables, open umbrellas and even though it was a busy Friday afternoon in the area it seemed like a quiet little spot. You can get all your favorite pizzas and get this and that. The pizza is tasty and just an FYI at this location M-F they do slices from 11-3 for $2.22 seriously. We got a large Cheese and Pepperoni it was hot, fresh, tasty and yes greasy in the best way. They don't have fountain drinks it's bottles of Coke products. Staff is helpful and pleasant a plus! I have purchased pizza from the Cam's Pizzeria location on Brighton Henrietta Townline Road 3 times in the past year and each time has been a miserable experience. Either the staff is unpleasant or the pizza is the worst out of all the Cam's locations because they let it sit there for hours. I was just charged over $12 for 2 disgusting slices of pepperoni and 1 one blue cheese dipping sauce. Im just sharing my experience. Tried the sweet n tangy chicken and bacon pizza and really liked it! It was a sweet barbecue type sauce and more bacon than chicken. Also did a make your own pizza since they make it easy with so many choices of sauces and to toppings and it's not expensive at all to do it this way. What a joke today. They couldn't take charge cards. No ice available. Took 20 minutes to make a small meatball sub for 14.99. Tomato wasn't ripe. The biggest joke came when we ordered an ice cream and the worker told me they don't have gloves so couldn't serve us. They open the box and show you the pizza when you pick up so there's no surprises at home when you open the box a stare at a burned pizza. We used to get our pizza at Salvatore's. I like Cam's pizza but their pricing structure isn't remotely competitive. Within 1-2 miles I can go to 5 other pizza places and pay a lot less if I want toppings. On a large pizza Cam's wants $2.89 PER topping! That's almost $9 in toppings alone if I want peppers, pepperoni and mushrooms. The other day I decided to stop by for lunch. I went in at 12pm noon and all the pizza was already cold sitting on the counter. Their "lunch special" was 5.99 for 2 slices and a drink. Not bad until they told me it was 40 cents per topping per slice. I end up getting one cold cheese Slice and one slice with 3 toppings and paid $7.55 for 2 reheated warm slices and a bottled drink. Again their pizza is great but the nickel and diming per topping is a turn off for me. Now I know why I was the only one in the restaurant during what should be a busy time for them. read more

I ordered a couple XL pizzas and some wings to be delivered for dinner while my husband and I hosted my in-laws for the first time ever. I got a call that the pizza would be a little late, but not to worry the manager threw in some extra goodies for the wait. When she realized the delivery driver would be late, she took it upon herself to deliver the pizza to us. Not only was the customer service fantastic, the food was a huge hit. I called in an order for a large cheese pizza and a veggie calzone. I had a coupon for a free large pizza which was nice. I was told 20 minutes, so I drove there and probably waited 15 minutes after paying for my simple order. There were all high school and college kids behind the counter and they were chatting and messing around while there was only me, another woman, and a family of four in the restaurant. I got home and it was not my favorite pizza, but the calzone was good. They didn't have a veggie calzone on the menu so I had to pay separately for all of the ingredients. I placed my second order at Cam's and it will be my last. The first order, a pizza, was OK, but no better than OK. compared to the other shops in the area, it is a 1 out of ten. I tried again this past Sunday and ordered a BLT wrap sandwich. I ordered in the middle of the afternoon on Sunday afternoon and was told it would be ready in 20-25 minutes - huh? I got there in twenty five minutes, the wrap was ready, but it obviously had been sitting around for a while. The wrap was incredibly small, when they cut it they didn't even cut all the way through, and the taste - meh! Both Cams and their neighbor, The Cornerstone cafe, are very close and very easy to get to, but I would never waste my time, money, or effort ordering from them again. The girl (I wish i had gotten her name) was amazingly friendly and accommodating to the point i got a garlic knot while I waited. After bringing the food home it was hot and tasty. I ordered Cam's Pizza through GrubHub and it was not a good experience the pizza was not made properly to what I had ordered and everything was written down cuz I ordered online part of the order was missing and it wasn't delivered to the proper door I live in an apartment with three different entrances and I specifically told them which door to use that's not where they went I said I wouldn't be home just to leave it they didn't do that either so I would say the whole experience was lacking read more

I found this particular Cam's to be very friendly, clean and serving hot delicious ROC style pizza in a timely fashion. The pizza had just the right amounts of sauce and cheese for me. This place is usually pretty consistent but maybe its the newer location. I stopped in to grab a slice the other day and halfway thru my cheese slice I noticed that the pizza crust was uncooked. Not undercooked, not cooked, there was still dough under the sauce. I was 3/4 thru before I noticed so I just got up and left. Cam's pizza is great! Best in Rochester by far!!! I just recently moved out of town for college and the biggest thing I miss about home is going to Cam's and being greeted by their wonderful staff and getting their slices there. I highly recommend Cam's to anyone in Rochester or just visiting Rochester. It is a very family friendly place as well. The employees are all very friendly and make you feel right at home. I'm done with Cams. I've given them chance after chance after chance because their pizza is better than most other choices around here. However, I've had too many issues with them. Burned pizza, incorrect orders and more. The owner himself has burned my pizza twice now. Today was the final straw. I drove all the way out there at 12:30 (their posted hours on the door are 11am opening). The place was locked up, no lights on, no one there, no note on the door, no answering machine, nothing. I called back this evening and asked why they were closed almost two hours after their posted opening time and was told "Cam was opening today, maybe he had something to do." So the owner himself burns pizzas and can't bother to make it in on time to open the place on a Sunday? Bye. I'm done. I shouldn't have given you the chances I already have, and now I'm done. The product is inconsistent and now you don't even know if they'll be open on time or not. Not worth it. Pizza Stop in the city has always had way better pizza, I guess I'll have to just drive all the way out there instead. read more
