They might not be able to replace your engine on the spot -that might be for your dealership- but they can take care of everything else your auto needs And at the fairest price on Manhattan!

They advertise…read morethemselves as a "complete foreign & domestic repair shop," but when I asked about an engine replacement, the mechanic said they don't do that at this location. Fine--that's their choice. I already have a better shop and is replacing my engine they maybe thought I was broke or who knows but anyway way the real issue is that after leaving my car, several of my personal belongings disappeared. Guest what they did, they left my car in the street for a few days without any consent or like if my money isn't worth anything. I lost two toolboxes worth over $500, Ray-Ban sunglasses ($200), my EZ Pass, charging cables/adapters, perfume, clothes from my backpack, also a head unit that was in green box and more. On top of that, I paid their diagnostic fee (which I don't mind since that's part of their job), but when it comes to my missing belongings, I'm the one who takes the loss. It's been 3 days and I still haven't gotten a single answer or resolution from the shop. Items don't just vanish into thin air. The worst part is the complete lack of responsibility or concern from their side. The reviews may make this place look like a trustworthy shop and that's the reason I came here for, but my experience was the opposite. Be very careful leaving your car or belongings here, because once something goes missing, you're on your own.

I could never find one so I would always try to save my work for when I travel to Florida because I have such a mechanic there, but now I'm going to Tyrone32 for anything I need done when I'm in NYC. The reason: Orlando. I had a check engine light on. I had been calling around asking different shops if they run complimentary computer scans and general pricing for evap system issues, as I knew that was likely the culprit for my light. A few of the shops I called were kind of rude over the phone and didn't really want to spend any time answering questions. I came across Tyrone32 as I was driving around my new neighborhood and decided to call. I explained my situation to Orlando and he was so nice, listened to my thoughts, asked me some questions, and said just to drop in and he would check it out. He came out and ran a complimentary scan for me, checked out the car, and answered all of my questions. Orlando's customer service was amazing. After I left and arrived home, I noticed that a center button on my Jeep rim had popped out. I called Orlando to see if it had popped out somewhere at the shop and sent him a picture. He said that he couldn't find one that matched at the shop, but that he had a few extras laying around that were slightly different and he would just give me one if I came by--I mean how rare is it that someone just gives you something because they have an extra and you are in need? Super rare. Can't say enough about how great his customer service made me feel and again, I will be exclusively getting maintenance on my car here.

I had been dealing with the same issue with my vehicle for several weeks and visited the Allerton location three weekends in a row trying to get it resolved. Richard went above and beyond to ensure my concerns were taken seriously and that the problem was properly diagnosed and fixed. He even arranged for me to visit another location in Mount Vernon to make sure the issue was fully resolved. His commitment to customer satisfaction truly stands out. As a woman, taking a vehicle in for service can sometimes be stressful because there's always a concern about being taken advantage of or being told repairs are needed that aren't actually necessary. Richard made me feel comfortable, respected, and confident throughout the entire process. Thanks to his persistence, professionalism, and genuine concern for helping me, my vehicle issue was finally fixed. Because of Richard and the exceptional service he provided, I will continue to choose Mavis for my future vehicle maintenance and repairs. Thank you, Richard, for going the extra mile. Your dedication does not go unnoticed. sincerely, Joanna Edwards.

So, a few months ago my wife was driving the car and the check engine light came on. She was on her way home and called me so I said, stop there. They had always been nice. Days went by, we paid $1500 for new cylinders and they still didn't fix the issue. During that visit I kept getting notifications on my phone that my battery was low. I kept asking them what was going on. Finally, they gave up, told me to come get the car, and I realized they had left the lights on all of that time, which is why I kept getting the alerts. Took the car (Mercedes) to the dealership - fixed in one day at zero cost. Riverdale Auto Clinic FAILED to accurately diagnose the issue, and charged me $1500 for it. Wait, it gets better. This week the battery needed to be replaced (I wonder why). Once again, my wife was driving the car, stopped in. They replaced the battery, thanks, I suppose. I guess they thought they were being nice by washing the car but LOST THE FRONT PASSENGER floor mat. How does that even happen? So, now I'm buying new mats because they are giving us the run around and not doing what is the right thing to do and replacing what they took out of my car, without asking, and lost it. I will NEVER go back there and highly recommend NO ONE go there.

This shop did not provide any supporting technical data (OBD-II codes or test results) to justify this cost. When I stated I would not be proceeding with repairs there because the "Engine" diagnosis did not coincide with my prior AAA report (which clearly showed a charging system failure with low voltage), the staff was visibly unhappy and unprofessional about my decision to take my vehicle elsewhere. The true issue, confirmed by a second independent mechanic, was a straightforward failure of the alternator and battery. This shop incorrectly diagnosed a serious "Engine" issue when the problem was clearly the charging system. I lost $189.50 and valuable time due to this vague diagnosis and poor service. They told me I needed a brand new engine and tried to charge me $3,995.00. In conclusion it was my alternator and battery that needed changing. Which only cost me $795.00. Avoid this place if you can.
