Stuck in the back of the shopping center with Marrazzo's and Sal DeForte's, right next door to a ramen noodle shop, these friendly folks are hospitable and enjoy conversing with their customers. After a few questions I ordered their "The Dragon," burger combo. They do smash burgers here, and the finished sandwich looked like a half pounder in an oversized bun, with plenty of heat from cherry peppers, jalapeños, onions, topped with spicy mayo and creole cole slaw with a hint of mango to offset the flames. It needed no ketchup nor additional contributions, and was delicious from bite one. All the parts played very well together. A little drippy to be sure, but easily managed. It came with a pile of crisp waffle fries that did require a squirt of ketchup, but were able second mates to the main beefy attraction. This was a very enjoyable meal, that would only be complemented by the house being better suited for eating in, right when everything is at its apex of perfection. Shitzz n Glizzies has the potential to compete with the big burger guys in the area. Will have to let you know about their franks and steaks at another time, but there is reason for optimism.

I'm assuming it was really busy because the Sixers had a game last night, so we waited about 20 minutes to be seated. It went by pretty quick though and they have a few benches at the front so you don't have to stand. The "Wall of Fake IDs" also kept us entertained while we waited. Kind of hilarious to see how many people tried using fake IDs to get in there. My only annoyance with the service was the hostess. She was friendly, but wasn't acknowledging people as they came in. The customers had to approach her because she was looking down at the podium for whatever reason. She also seemed annoyed when people called in with questions about the wait time. Our server, Mike, was great. He checked on us several times and asked how our food was. He noticed when we were low on beer and suggested grabbing us a second round. Very attentive and warm attitude. To start, we shared the Bavarian Pretzel. I loved it because it was crispy on the outside but not too hard on the inside where it was tough to chew. The mustard and beer cheese complemented it nicely. My Corn & Black Bean burger was quite tasty! Fries were hot and crispy and I especially loved the bun on the burger. It was a thick patty, too! Not the standard Boca burger you get from the freezer section, which leads me to believe they make their patties in-house. Great beer selection here! Lots of seasonal beers on tap is a plus. Inside was comfortable and not too loud. They have an area at the bar that is first-come, first-served. I also saw a pool hall further down from the bar. I recommend The Firkin Tavern if you're looking for a large variety of pub food!

The food was excellent, the service was great, and the overall atmosphere was good. I have no complaints about that. The biggest issue was how the game day was handled. It got so bad that we left at halftime and went home to watch the rest of the game. On a normal day, this is a great spot to grab food and hang out. But for a major USA World Cup match, the experience was disappointing and could have been managed much better.

From early conversations with the event manager to the way the entire staff treated me yesterday on-site, Vault's customer service is unmatched. Sarah answered all my questions, responded to me in a timely manner, provided ample time for my bridesmaids and I to set up decor and we were permitted to bring our own cake and desserts. The bartender allowed me to Airdrop my custom bridal shower playlist to an iPad that was connected to their surround sound speakers so I could play the music I intended to play. She was attentive, kind and placed purses and miscellaneous items in the back area so it wouldn't be in guest view. She cut the cake for us towards the end of the event. Truly such outstanding service. The event space is located downstairs, completely separate from the main dining area and there is a private restroom. Food was decidedly mediocre and nothing to ever return for. Burgers are low quality--super dry and tasteless meat. Zero flavor. You need a ton of trimmings to make it palatable. Regular double cheeseburger was a miss. Double bbq char burger was a tiny bit better thanks to the bacon and fried onions that gave the sad burger some texture and flavor. The bun added nothing, so I'd skip it and get the lettuce wrap instead. Regular Fries were soggy and bland. Skip. Sweet potato fries were the highlight of the meal in terms of quality--super light and not at all greasy. Pleasant surprise. I'd order them again. Fried string beans were meh. Too much batter.

The French onion soup is just as good and one of the best in the area. It's so good we had it when it was over 95° degrees outside and still worth it. They've changed the chicken meatballs in the last 2 years since I've been there - much less slaw (which was a unique highlight). These were dry and tasted overcooked and tough. My chicken Milanese was also overcooked and tough. The chicken was right at that cusp of brown to burnt with some pieces being burnt and difficult to chew. My husband's fried chicken from his sandwich (much much thicker piece of chicken) was fine so it makes me wonder if it was cooked at the same time. The prices are still reasonable for a nicer pub / gastropub which is appreciated.
