I'm not a regular, but I've been there enough to be disappointed by my experience this past Saturday, the weekend before Halloween. I'm there with my friends, two of whom were drinking and the rest of us are hydrating, and promptly at 1:45am the bouncer began yelling at everyone to finish their drinks quickly and get out. He flat-out said that no one could be inside the bar at 2am per California law, which I don't believe is true - no one can be *served* after 2am. I think it's a shame that he basically kicked an entire bar of people out, presumably because he wanted to go home, and as someone who has managed a bar before I'm extremely frustrated by this experience. read more

+ cute little bar, + affordable drinks, - weird crowd Campus was another stop on a bar hopping tour through Marina/Cow Hollow and the bar itself was quite nice. They showed a 80s highschool movie that night, which was accompanied by 80s music. The drinks were affordable and they had a special going on with wine bottles 1/2 the price. So far so good if not the crowd! We cut our visit short, because we had some awkward old guys sitting next to us with a main interest in starting an argument. If people like those guys are the exception the campus seems to be a nice hang out in Marina. read more

Ladies, if you want to go to a place where there's more men than women, check this place out. The ratio was like 5:1. My gfs and I met lots of people and had a great time. I just wish they had more than 2 bartenders as this place gets packed. No line, nice crowd so definitely a great alternative than waiting in line to get into TIPSY PIG. read more

the pleasant result of a much needed remodeling for Delaneys. yes, the bartender uniforms are hot. can't really hide that. but the real surprise is that they are really GOOD bartenders. I would never have thought to order a Manhattan at most places in the Marina apart from R&G or Brixton. So "Nicely done". And even with two gals working the bar (I know some people requested a third but honestly, there isn't enough room and they'd just be bumping into each other... or maybe that was your plan all along) they actually pay attention to which people just came in (a huge plus) while somehow making sure there's always something funny and random on the televisions (Labyrinth btw was pretty funny with subtitles, bravo). And the door man (same guy each time I've been so far) is probably the best one in the Marina. Keep up the good work Campus. You're part of our rotation now. read more

I am a big fan of Campus. Especially on a Friday night before it gets too crazy with all of the Marina Boys. It's unpretentious, consistent, comfortable and an all around friendly bar. The bar tenders( all ladies btw) are fun and usually wear school girl type uniforms to bar tend. My friends and I come here to grab a quick drink or two. Our favorite being the cucumber gimlet. Prices aren't too bad and they have a pretty nice assortment of things. They always have a cheez it party mix for you and your friends to share and they always re-fill it for you. On Friday nights they usually have a cheese plate with salami and crackers. The bar seating is nice as well as the comfy, high top leather sofa seats lining the wall. This place definitely has it's regulars so don't be surprised if you see people coming in here with dogs The reason is place isn't getting 5 stars is based on cleanliness. Sometimes this place gets pretty dirty and like i said earlier, they usually have a cheese plate with an assortment of cheese and meats out for anyone to grab, which is fine, but i've seen the meat sit out for hours and that can be harmful to the patrons eating it. The bathrooms aren't the greatest either but hey, it's a bar. I've had some great times here and I will definitely be back read more

Chirese is the BEST! And cute, too! As for the bar - I went the afternoon of Christmas Eve (Saturday) and it was about 75% full. Tons of TVs airing the various NFL games and the place was decorated cutely for Christmas -- they were even putting up filled stockings with the bartenders' names on them. There were a couple seasonal drink specials. I believe the one I had was a whiskey egg nog or something like that, and it was pretty yummy. They also put out crackers, cheese and salami. They don't serve food but they let me grab bring my sandwich in from Squat & Gobble (delicious spot a few store fronts down). Overall a great atmosphere! read more

Favorite pub in the Bay Area! Why? Best service I've had in a long long time. Kristin waited on us all night. Who would think such a super gorg girl would be so friendly & fun?! She made the most scrumptious drinks & kept me happy all night long (and others too!) Man, that girl can shake n serve drinks fast and with a smile! I'm super picky about my drinks & she made me a couple off the menu based on the ingredients I liked. So surprised to have such great customer service in the Marina of all places! I also love this little bar because yes, it's a pub but has great decor. If I could give them a 6th star for being PET FRIENDLY I would. One night, I snuggled with this guy's boston terrier all night. The next time I went, I brought a little pup I was babysitting. The next time I go? I'm bringing my lil boxer-mix Triple Dip! Coming from an hour away, this was worth it. I didn't drive to the city just for the pub (I like it, but be real, I'm not crazy!), for a get together. Nice laid back pub that had Elf on the TV screen the entire time we were there (holiday time). The location is nice, so no creepy people. Tons of cabs outside for you to easily hail. The bartender was friendly, asked us if we wanted drinks. Usually at other places, I have to stand there and wait a while, but she came right up to us. read more

Had a pretty fun time drinking here on a Thursday night. It was a pretty uneventful bar, but they did have free chex mix and showed some cool movies on the TV. Awesome place, came here during college football $10 for a Jameson shot and a draft beer (even Sculpin!), the crowd is super nice and they play good music (country ish but Ignition Remix is currently playing). Totally not what you would expect from a Marina bar. Definitely will be back! read more

Solid bar. The bartender was super nice and made my fiance a non-alcoholic drink on the house, which was insanely good. They had some quality belgian beers and even poured them in their own glasses which was a nice touch. My friends ordered the happy hour special, Bloody Mary's, and were blown away by them. What did we drink that evening? No clue what we got by that point. But, I specifically remember the song playing in the background: "Walking on a Dream" by Empire of the Sun. I gave Delaney's 3 stars, so this place gets 4. What makes the place improved? Well, I can't really put my finger on how this works, but they managed to make this place "nicer" (in terms of decor), yet they've embraced the fact that they're still a dive (even more so than Delaney's, IMO). Absolutely disgraceful. After coming here and being happy with the ambiance the day prior, i decided on bringing my friends here. After waiting over an hour the bouncer "made a deal with us" and said for $250 we could get a table. While being the only people waiting to get in, maybe telling us that we would need to pay a cover would have been a logical thing to do. I told the bouncer that he should have told us we would have to pay a cover when we were asked to wait for a table, and he laughed saying we were broke for not being able to pay the $250 cover for a 5 top. After being called a "Cunt" and a "broke hoe" we gladly left and went to another bar. It's a disgrace you have a bouncer as demeaning as he was. He was a tall younger African American man. I used to tell everyone this was the best bar in the marina but now I'm embarrassed to say so. He should be fired immediately. I've never been so offended by person working in the service industry. Stopped in here last Sunday to watch a few games honestly because it was the only place with open chairs and boy am I glad that we did! The bartender (whose name I believe is Kristin) with red hair is just incredible. We were blown away at how well she was able to manage a pretty packed bar by herself, with the help of only 1 bar back. She was very friendly, funny, and made great drinks. I would come back to this bar 10 times over just for the great service. That being said, the drink specials were great and there were enough TVs to cover all of the football games. Tip: While Campus does not have a kitchen, you are more than welcome to bring in food from other places if the bar snacks are not enough to satisfy your hunger. 4 stars for the bar 5 stars for the bartender! read more

It was a good bar before, but hasn't hurt itself with the remodeling. The bar seems cooler and each time I've come, the bartender is ON IT. The most recent time, I'd organized a pub crawl for a group of co-workers. While I can't remember her name, but she was pretty amazing. She got all 20+ of us served up in mere minutes. Even included a bowl of snacks. Fresh bowl at that. No worries about eating someone else's germs. I did notice the heavy amount of guys here as opposed to the ladies. Perhaps it's due again to the great bartender. She was pretty cute! read more

Came in here after work on a Friday with a buddy and the bartender was super friendly and welcoming. I ordered a blue moon off the tap and my buddy had a Bloody Mary which she said was more spicy than normal but overall good cause they poured a lot of vodka in it ahah. Lots of locals bring in their pets and they even give you complimentary chex mix while you sit, chit chat, or enjoy the sports cast on tv. Prices are fairly just, there's always deals! Would definitely recommend if you're in the Marina area or simply San Francisco. read more

I wasn't expecting much from a bar called "Campus," but I really enjoyed our time there. I was with a rather large group, but since we arrived somewhat early on a Saturday, it wasn't too crowded. We were able to find a table or two in the back, and quickly ordered drinks. It was pretty low key for the time of day, which I appreciated because I hate overcrowded bars and waiting forever to be served. And look - there was a dog inside the bar.
