This place has a fantastic outside area. When you walk in, you don't realize that there's actually more behind the interior of the bar. The drinks are amazing. I got the monkey business! Prices are reasonable.

Solid drinks for a reasonable price point and atmosphere. We stopped by here after a happy hour nearby on a Friday. It wasn't too crowded inside, but outside was full. We were easily able to sit at a booth area inside. We got a lychee martini and espresso martini. When we read some past reviews before coming here, people had mentioned a pistachio espresso martini drink, but we didn't see that on the menu. For $14, the martinis were solid. I love a good lychee martini and this one didn't disappoint. My partner's espresso martini was a bit too sweet for our liking though. It was great for the first few sips, but by the end of the drink it was overwhelmingly too sweet. Overall, I liked the vibe of this place and enjoyed our drinks. I would come back here for a casual drink with friends, and maybe check out their outside area in the back.

The coolest bar with good vibes and amazing drinks!! My friend and I ordered a lychee-tini, wildberry crush, and an ultra. The cocktails were so yummy and the presentation was beautiful. Total including tip was $41.24. Jared and Lauren were so sweet and funny. Would come back again!

Came here to celebrate a birthday and we were able to reserve part of the outdoor back area, which was perfect for a group. Atmosphere Campus Bar is a super cute spot with outdoor seating. I can imagine it being great on a warm day in the city. Since we came at night, we ended up sitting around the fire pits, which made it cozy and fun. What I Tried Spicy margarita Espresso martini Lychee martini (sipped from a friend's) The Experience The drinks were pretty average overall, but not too pricey from what I remember. The service made up for it though, the staff came by often to check in and make sure we had drinks, which was really nice. Also loved that they let us bring our own food, which was fab for a birthday hangout. Final Thoughts This is a great spot for group celebrations since you can reserve tables and even bring in your own food. I'd come back again if someone suggested it, especially for another group outing.

When the weather is nice, Campus is a go-to spot for drinks on their outdoor patio. It's one of the bigger outdoor patios in the Marina, and is dog friendly which is always a plus. They also have like 5-6 beers on tap, with my go to being the 805. The drinks are stiff and fairly priced given the neighborhood. Casa Migos is their standard tequila for a tequila sodas, and I'm all for it. The bartenders all have been awesome and we've enjoyed our multiple visits here. The outdoor area has its own bar, but it's not open everyday, usually weekends though. Plenty of TVs and seating make it a good spot to watch a sports game in an outdoor setting. They don't serve food but they partner with Norcina, which you can order off the QR code and have it brought to you. The offerings are Italian food, pizza, and wings.

Cocktails here are splendid. The crowd of people who come in are not. Lol but I like the security guards because they keep everyone in check! There's an outdoor patio, indoor seating, and they got foot on their menu too I believe. This is a perfect pre-game hangout or a place for chill vibes. The fire pits outdoors are so clutch.

This place was a solid bar. The layout made it easy to chat with people. They had connect four and jenga which was super fun to play. I like that they had a fall themed cocktail menu to choose from. Bartenders were friendly and fun.

I'm so glad we stumbled upon Campus after brunch, because it just might be my perfect bar. Initially, my group of 5 grabbed a cozy high-top table inside, directly across from the bar. The (very friendly) bartender came over to take our orders and told us about the quirky decor (there are taxidermy deer (?) butts on the bar wall). I ordered an Aperol Spritz and my friends got Espresso Martinis and a Grapefruit Spritz. The drinks were ready very quickly and my Aperol Spritz came out perfect. The Espresso Martinis were unfortunately too creamy/foamy, but very cute looking, with little flowers on top. While we enjoyed our first round, we noticed that people kept going in and our through a back door, and that's how we discovered Campus's awesome back patio. This outdoor seating area is SO cute, with a huge mural of flowers and insects, plenty of different seating options, fire pits, TV screens, and turf on the ground. It's also incredibly dog-friendly, and there were even water bowls already out for them. The atmosphere was happy/laid-back, perfect for either a group gathering or a date. We stayed for one more round, but I would totally return!

They were out of a few things we wanted, which I could live with, but the food is what got me. Most of the reviews say the burgers were really good and the buns were good as well. I felt the buns might have been at the point where they were almost going stale. Like they wanted to be fresh, but something was holding them back from being fresh. Maybe if the buns had been warmed a bit, it would have helped. The onion rings weren't bad, a bit crunchy, more so than your average beer battered onion ring, but I suppose I would have to try them again to really say if I like them or not. I know it was early and it was a bar setting, but having to sit, not be given a menu, had to grab from a different table along the wall, go up and order, didn't sit well with me. Maybe it's just how the bar is? Not sure as I've never been. The bartender that took my order was nice and friendly. Decent place to watch a game? Sure, looking for a lunch spot for a quick bite? Probably not.

He treated me disrespectfully and asked me something absolutely absurd. After he continued harassing me, I reacted by giving him a small slap across the face. Instead of taking what had happened seriously or making sure I was okay, Jason and Jesse decided to kick ME out of the bar and ban me, while the man who sexually harassed me was allowed to stay. What made the situation even more disturbing was the way they treated me afterward. They laughed in my face while telling me I needed to leave, and as I was walking out with my girlfriends who witnessed what happened they were laughing and calling me crazy to the group of friends that harassed me I understand that a bar may have policies regarding physical altercations, but the complete lack of concern for the harassment that led up to the situation was appalling. I was the woman who had been sexually harassed, yet I was the one removed and banned while the man who made sexually explicit comments toward me got to remain inside and was seemingly treated like a friend. Based on my experience at night, I absolutely would not consider this a safe or supportive environment for women. Being sexually harassed is already upsetting enough. Being laughed at and punished afterward while the person who harassed you is allowed to stay made the entire experience significantly worse.

The Brixton came up among a few other local spots in the general Marina/Cow Hollow area. I chose The Brixton because of how easy it was to book a reservation at short notice. I reserved an outdoor table for 12:45pm on a Sunday. We found the restaurant in the heart of Cow Hollow, and it was such a cute, trendy spot. It was a beautiful day in the city, but it almost felt too hot sitting in the outdoor patio because there was hardly any shade. The host was nice enough to offer the indoor lounge area by the bar, but we decided to stick it out in the sunshine. That said, I really appreciated the offer. Overall customer service was great. Staff was friendly, and the food came out incredibly fast. We received our food in 10 minutes or less. My father-in-law got the French dip, my husband got the burger, and I got the chicken and waffles. Food was OK. Mid at best. Starting with my chicken and waffles plate, which mostly tasted bland to me. The chicken was moist and had a nice fry but lacked the seasoning. Similarly, the gravy needed some salt. Loved the waffles though. Great texture of crunch on the outside and soft doughiness inside. My husband's cheeseburger was a total 180 from my dish when it came to flavor. That said, it would've been nice to have some fresh, crisp veggies to break up the heaviness from its sauce. It did have lettuce, but it was shredded so got mushy. MY father-in-law's French Dip sandwich was probably my favorite among the 3. Just a solid, classic French dip with tender prime.

So many memories have been made here -- birthdays, celebrations, nights out with friends and family, and plenty of random evenings that turned into some of the best ones. We've also made friendships here that have lasted for years. It's one of those rare neighborhood bars where you can walk in, see familiar faces, bring your dog, grab a drink, and immediately feel at home. I was especially honored to be asked to guest bartend for The Equal Pour, an event celebrating 55 years of women being able to bartend in California. It was such a fun and meaningful day, and San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie even stopped by to celebrate with everyone. And because the Horseshoe always seems to have a good story attached to it, we were also there when the Budweiser Clydesdales came by to deliver beer -- definitely one of those only-in-San-Francisco neighborhood moments. The staff here has always treated us like family, and that's what keeps us coming back year after year. No pretension, no fuss -- just good people, a great neighborhood atmosphere, dogs welcome, and a place that has been part of our lives for well over a decade. The Horseshoe is a true Marina neighborhood gem, and I hope it stays exactly that for many more years.

It has that classic, unpretentious San Francisco neighborhood-bar vibe that's getting harder and harder to find. The bartenders are friendly, the drinks are good and strong, and there's always an interesting mix of Marina locals, longtime regulars, and people just out having a good night. It's casual, lively, and never trying to be something it isn't. Whether you're stopping in for one drink or somehow ending up there for the rest of the night, Mauna Loa is always a good time. Great theme - Lame crowd…read more Mauna Loa Club on Fillmore Street in San Francisco, CA, offers a thoroughly uneventful, standard dive bar experience that functions as a predictable neighborhood fallback rather than an exciting destination. For those interested in its roots, the establishment has a fascinating, multi-generational history: it was originally opened in 1939 by Hawaiian-Portuguese immigrants Johnny and Marie Martin, who bought it for just $10 under its former name, the Silk Hat Inn. They renamed it Mauna Loa in 1949 and moved it to its current Cow Hollow location on June 1, 1950--by pure coincidence, the exact day its namesake Hawaiian volcano began a historic eruption. While it historically served as a bustling hub for merchant marines and sailors, a modern visit is entirely routine and unpretentious. The cash-only space is dark and worn-down, featuring basic entertainment like a pool table, foosball, and pop-a-shot basketball. Despite the name and sub-tropical accents, there are no specialty tiki drinks or unique flair; you simply get standard well drinks and bottled beer served by friendly bartenders. It is a perfectly average, low-key spot to hide from the weekend chaos of Union Street, but it offers a standard baseline dive experience with little excitement beyond its remarkable historical longevity. Thanks
