What a special little cafe. We took our granddaughter (she loves their cookies), they put together a fruit cup for her, our sandwich's were terrific ! When other Yelpers talk about "huge" sandwiches--they're not exaggerating. My pastrami was excellent and the meat was very lean. Setting is truly in a tropical garden. Amazing sandwiches! Was a little unsure at first, but I kid you not, the food is DELICIOUS! I will go there for lunch every day. The bread is fresh, the meat is so tender, and their prices are hard to beat. Don't waste you time at Submarina or Subway. It is a little hard to find, do bring directions. I work nearby off of Faraday in Carlsbad and myself and fellow co-workers make a weekly visit to Campus Cafe. Great salads and soups! The dressing they use for the Asian salad is to die for, I have literally drank it before. My ultimate favorite is the kale soup, which is a Monday lunch special. The kale soup has sausage, Parmesan, and kale in a creamy broth. I am not a soup person, but once I tried it, I was hooked. A family owns the place and they are so friendly and awesome. We have catered for work events and they come drop off the food and pick up the bowls later that day. They could not make it much easier. I definitely recommend Campus for lunch! read more

Simple. Wholesome. Convenient. Being that I work next door to this establishment, its an easy go-to for breakfast or lunch when I'm lazy, hungry, tired, or all the above. Their Sunrise Croissant is delicious but they're key dishes have to be there deli take on Bi Bim Bap and Korean Spicy Pork. Both are delicious and well made, decently priced and generously served. My little hole in the wall cafe. Only open during the day on weekdays but you gotta try it. Try one of the big specialty sandwiches like the big daddy or if you want to be adventurous, try a special for the day. Spicy Bbq Pork and Korean Beef are 2 of my favorites. I've gone here a few times for a normal chicken salad or the yogurt parfait. Never had an issue till today! Around 945 AM I went in for a salad didn't look it over just bought it and went into work since its right next door. Around 1030 I went to eat it, noticed it smelled a bit funny and the chicken was rubbery and sticky. Upon looking further at it, the chicken and cheese on it was moldy and it had to have been sitting out for awhile. It was in their mini fridge that was the correct temperature. What further annoyed me and grossed me out was the fact when I went in to complain. She offered to make a new one, I watch her go to the kitchen and can see her open the salad with no gloves and attempt to remove the chicken and cheese keeping the lettuce and reuse it! I just yelled no thank you I want a refund! The man at the register didn't look at me or acknowledge I was even there. The lady came back apologized and then another co worker began looking at the other salad in the mini fridge and their main fridge removing them and placing them on the kitchen counter. I walked away annoyed 1. Why do these not have dates they were made? 2. Why do you not look at the salad as you place them in the mini fridge. 3. Why would you try to reuse a salad that was near mold! I will be reporting them to the health department and last time I will ever go there, from now on its always the La Place Deli Charley is they the best! read more

It looks like any other sandwich shop but it's got something unique ... Yunie, the owner. He's such a friendly guy and has a real knack for customer service. If you go back a 2nd time, he'll remember you and what you ordered (amazing). But don't order the same thing, because that's what makes this place so special ... the specials. Yunie used to be a sushi chef, so he frequently makes California Rolls to serve with this awesome teriyaki chicken. On certain days, he'll be out at the BBQ grilling up Korean bulgogi or some other deliciously marinated meat. I'm pretty impressed by their drink selection, they have a lot of juices I've never even heard of. They have plenty of seating as well, both inside and outside. They also have soups and other hot foods along with daily specials and their prices are more than reasonable. Most of their sandwiches are around $6 and they are very filling and satisfying. They have breakfast too, but I've never had it. If you work in the area it is absolutely worth leaving your industrial park for. It's kind of tucked away but it's very worth finding. Finding this place is kind of tricky since it is in the middle of a couple of corporate offices. The service is really quick. One downside is that, the price is kind of high for the food items, but I mean, people who go there are those busy office people who don't have time to pack lunch.
