Ever since Raquel left this place, it has been nothing but a horrible experience with the office. I've been a customer for almost 10 years with them. I will be finding a new company for my propane. read more

After 2 years of working with Campora and Raquelle peacefully and fairly, we began having to deal with Nicole. Nicole lied or misspoke a delivery date, then tried to cover her tracks with an emergency delivery she charged me for, then she disqualified us from the monthly plan by adding a 13/14th month usage rate to recalculate our monthly to 333/mo. I only used about $2k propane a year so I declined. She then submitted a tank fill bill and spent the next 15 days more or less harassing me for full payment 1200. She called, she texted, she emailed and left VM over 15 separate times in 19 days after this occurrence. Happy to say I will never use Campora propane and wholeheartedly discourage anyone from doing so. This was specifically as a result of dealing with Nicole and her lack of customer service and dishonest tactics. The worst propane service in the County. read more

I don't complain much, but these folks are just not nice. It's a snowy, ice cold storm season. We drove to the local location during a snow storm since no one picked up the phone there. We walked in and the lady told us we went put of luck and their driver probably won't deliver at least 2 weeks. We disappointed and blamed ourselves not taken care of that sooner. About 10 days later, my husband got a call and said that the driver would come by today. Obviously, we were excited. The driver arrived at the bottom of our driveway without calling us. My husband spotted him and went out without changing his shoes. He went all the way to the first level and couldn't walk down anymore without proper shoes. The truck was still at the bottom when he was down there. He screamed and I screamed. The driver decided not to drive up with residual snow and drove to his next customer. My husband called the store immediately and the same lady told him that they got other customers, which I thought that's very rude. The driver was there but left. If there's any curtesy, maybe he could call us to determine what's next. He didn't call and we don't have propane for another week. I felt terrible. The customer service lady could take a courteous call to the driver and said the customer was in the driveway. She didn't offer. Now we have limited to no propane for the central heater and stove and have to wait for another week for delivery. I totally not recommend them for local services. Go elsewhere. read more

Customer service was nice. I did the math and I was being charged 8.39 per gallon. I Immediately cancelled. No clear explanation to why that was. Then tried to manipulate the situation by placing me on a brief hold and gave some hollow explanation to why I can't switch companies. Common guys.. if I could grow two extra arms I'd give this over priced propane four thumbs down. x4 Thoughts and prayers. read more

Campora's service was unsatisfactory, it took us 3 weeks for tank refill, very disappointed for this service look for a better services.

Scheduled tech visit - John arrived on time and was extremely friendly and professional. Went above and beyond to track down a small hard to trace leak and get it fixed. We nearly gave up but he continued to search and thankfully we found the small problem and dealt with it. Checked all lines, relit all appliances and serviced tanks as well as re-positioned on stand. The office staff were helpful with arranging this and called back with solution to account set up. All in all a very positive experience and happy we have been with them for many years. Not only does Campora have the highest prices for Propane in El Dorado county BUT, they are also one of the few companies that do not buy back propane. I have switched companies to decrease my gallon charge by over $1.50 . I have 25% left in my tank. They have told me that all sales are final. I have asked for management phone numbers as well as corporate contacts. I am going to fight this. Do not use Campora Propane!!! read more

you are permanently prohibited to step on my property you have caused a great deal of problems for me and my family including cost to repaired what you've done without permission on your last delivery you have disconnected one of my tank from the other without a permission!!! if you touch anything on my property ever again i will contact the authorities read more

Wish zero stars was an option, but it's not, so you'll just need to drop their average down a few notches. Over the last 18 months (approx..), My husband and I have followed up with Campora MULTIPLE times to have them come and pick up their tank. We originally used them for Propane, but after missed deliveries and high pricing, we went with an alternate company. After we switched companies, we notified Campora and requested that they come and get their tank. We had recently purchased our house and had some drainage that needed dire attention, along with landscape improvements that we had planned, and unfortunately, the tank is in the way. Since we literally cannot move it, and couldn't get someone to come and get it, we had to change our plans and work around this ridiculous inconvenience. Lets move on to Campora's actions. TODAY (18 MONTHS LATER!!!!!!!!!) I receive an invoice for the tank (that's $2500, friends). WHAT???? Campora leaves their tank at my house, causes me incredible inconvenience, and Jordan (the "new" (8 months in, I don't consider that new) service manager) not only confirms that the invoice is intentional, but then tells me that he's signed a collections agreement? He also boasted to me that he is running the company "better" now- I beg to differ. If there was any company to run from, it would be Campora and their terrible representation of a manager, Jordan. read more

I waited over 7 weeks now for propane with no service provided. After over 3 weeks they told me they have no drivers to deliver propane. Knowing this 3 weeks prior I was getting excuses and promises not kept. I was upset 2 years ago when they closed the office in Pollock Pines after the bad snow storm without forwarding their phones to another office. I sent them an email and got no response as to why that was not done. I have been on high alert with them for the past 2 years and call in plenty of time before I'm really low on propane. Well surprise surprise...have no drivers!! I pulled their tanks after many many years of service that has become unacceptable. read more

I want to preface this by saying that I don't normally write reviews, but my experience with this company was so bad I feel a moral obligation to tell people. If you have literally any other choice I strongly recommend avoiding this company. The service we've received over the years is terrible. The amount they charge us is incredibly high. Worst yet, they do not have ANY sort of emergency refill service. We booked out OVER THREE WEEKS to have our tank filled. Come three weeks later, we were close to empty. Called on a Thursday, told that early the next week we would be filled. Called on Monday, told Tuesday, CALLED ON WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY and nobody could tell us why we weren't getting out tank filled. We were left without ANY propane to heat house while temperatures outside were below zero. Thankfully, we have an electric water heater. But the inside of our house got to below 50 degrees. Finally... finally on Friday were we so graciously given the propane. Which now the bill is going to be at least $1,000 if not more. They like to upcharge, especially in the winter. Once again, I want to stress that we called three weeks in advanced to ensure that this wouldn't happen. I understand being backed up on services. But to leave your customers who have no other choice without propane for 5 DAYS in the dead of winter is disgraceful. We will 100% without a doubt be changing our service provider for propane, I've heard that 49'R is great and has an emergency refill service --- what a concept! read more

We were supposed to be on a scheduled service but Once again Campora ran us out of propane!! This company is unbelievable!!! We are done...we canceled our service and going with 49er propane, which btw is cheaper and gave me a veteran discount. Campora used to be a great company until they were acquired by a company out of Chicago 2 years ago. Since then they're service has been horrible and the staff in Pollock Pines "they don't care", their just loaded with excuses! Do NOT use this company, unless you have Very Low Expectations and want to be disappointed! read more

Warning to new customers: the application process for new service is not secure. They require a credit check but do not offer a secure, authorized-access only portal to apply. Rather, they request you print out an application and fax or scan back to their office with all info needed to perform a credit check. With the rampant identity theft and security breaches plaguing the country, especially during COVID, Campora has a duty to protect customers sensitive information such as SSNs. This outdated application process is completely unsecure and susceptible to customers' info being stolen. After learning this, we went with a different company in town who did not require this information and provided EXCELLENT service. Consider what you are willing to give up for PROPANE. Identity theft is not worth it and there are other options. read more

Customers Beware! This company has been going down hill for the last 2 years. missed deliveries, forgotten deliveries, not answering phones, not being truthful about when delivery will happen. Been 10 days now with no call back, no estimated date, almost out now with only source of heat! This is not the first, second or even third time this company has failed its customers. The roads are clear, no valid reason for this poor treatment of customers! Pick another company or stress will follow. read more

Most expensive in the area by another. By about $1.50 more. Rude staff and a useless manager. 8 day delay for propane delivery with freezing temperatures, and took money out of my bank account without authorization, then I had to wait for my money back by receiving a check from Chicago over a month later. Left me without money when I was already dirt broke and had Covid, and I explained that to them and they couldn't care less. 18 year customer now goes with a much cheaper company who has a caring staff. read more

Whatever you do, don't sign up for the regular service plan. They billed us for a full tank when our tank was still at 60%. We have only ever had our tank filled once per year. They filled and billed then billed us four months later for almost the exact same number of gallons when we know our usuage actually went down. We would of had to quadruple our normal usage to have had room for a full tank. They conveniently leave the starting level blank on their reciepts. When I called, I get an after hours answering service, left messages and no one ever returned my call. When they finally called wanted to be paid I told them to take me off the delivery scheduled and why. The rep told me she can show me how to do the math to figure out how much was put into my tank. I told her without the beginning amount there is no way to accurately calculate that, it would just be an estimate based on what was claimed to have been put into my tank. Then she told me, "Well the trucks are measured by the county, so we know howuch was taken from the truck.". I explained that there's no way to prove that propane went I to my tank when he's driving all over all day to different properties. We are very dissatisfied with the ethics and service of Campora and do not recommend. read more

Suburban just gouged us at $5.23/gal. About $2/gal too much. Mad, I called around and decided to change to Campora. What an easy transition. The front office is competent, friendly and knowledgeable. We did paperwork and one week later our tank was changed out. They were professional, friendly, hard workers, and made sure that all pilot lights were lit. Thank you everyone for working with us. We look forward to doing business with you. Bye Suburban, hello Campora. read more

We have had service with this company for 20 years.. but we don't use a lot of propane.. we only fill up the tank every few years, we had propane in the tank and the rent was paid.. but last week they came and took the tank without any notice, because we don't buy enough propane from them. We were not able to check the gage and see how much propane we still had left.. isn't that stealing if have already paid for the propane???? Very disappointed customer!!!! read more

Would give zero stars if able to worst company ever. This is the second winter that we are left without propane because they can't get trucks out of the yard in pollock pines. Why they don't better prepare is beyond me. Roxanne was not helpful at all could not give me a date when they could come out said she would call and let me know she never did I had to keep calling. It's always they don't have enough drivers or they can't send trucks out due to weather. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Unfortunately the propane tank is also camporas and I can't get anyone else to service it although I am looking into just getting an entire new tank from a local company read more

I legit wish we had removed our campora tank when we moved in and bought elsewhere. They ran our credit for their monthly service and promised they would check the tank and top it off. NEVER HAVE THEY ONCE DONE THIS! Since moving in last year I've had the same convo with a Roxanne every few months when we realize our tank is near empty. Roxanne dishes out massive attitude and I have to deal with Karen at Campora corporate in Gardnerville. Every time it's the same thing and no change. Campora say they "stop by" but my security cameras never see them stop on the date they say nor is our tank topped off. "We believe our drivers" is campora's stance on the matter not the customer. Our tank has been filled up 3 times this year so it's not like we use a lot or need constant refills. We've put in 2 requests over 3 weeks ago and still no response from them. The emergency line is absolute useless and you are at Campora's mercy. They basically told us to wait till the heat calls out and it now classified as an emergency even though we stated we have small children in the home that need to stay warm. It's clear they are trying to get clients to zero and then pay $$$$$$ for a full tank and give zero cares about their actual customers. read more

Worst propane company in the area by a landslide! Price gouging each month more and more. They filled our tank supposedly, double our normal monthly fill and didn't even inform us that they were filling the tank and we were NOT on auto fill. Then send us an invoice for almost 800$ for 140 gallons at almost 6$ a gallon. Then 2 weeks later say we are past due, show up to turn the tank off, but go down our neighbors driveway saying they are going to the neighbors tank and they take gas out of the tank. We pay the bill current and they come turn the tank on and we run out of propane 2 days later. 140 gallons in 2 weeks? Yeah right. Then we switch to a much better company and they kindly put their tank at the top of the driveway and they refuse to come pick it up for 2 weeks. Their office is disgusting, looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months. No one answers the phone and when they do they lie and talk very disrespectfully and they try to take advantage of elderly customers. read more

I have had JS West propane for a couple years since I purchased my house (that is the service that was already in use at the time). Today I made the official switch to Campora and I already know that I made the right decision. Customer service has been top notch in getting my new account set up. Gary has been amazing each time he came out to the house and they got my new tank in without problem. Thank you guys so much for everything! read more

Just talked to one of my neighbors and they pulled the exact same crap with him that they did with me. I requested propane over a month ago and have been told they would fill the the tank and Im still waiting. The woman in Pollock Pines who answers the phone(most of the time) is a bully. DO NOT USE! DISHONORABLE COMPANY! They have been RIPPING US OFF for years. We have been long term customers of 22 years! When we started Sevice with them the told us they would honor the price that Amerigas was offering our home owners association. That is $109 for tank rental and $.75 per gallon over the whole sale cost for propane. We have no idea what the wholesale cost of propane is so we had to take them at their word (BIG MISTAKE TRUSTING THEM) Recently when calling for a refill they quoted us $3.35 per gal. That seemed kinda of high so we decided to check around. Not only were they not honoring the price they quoted us but they were charging us MORE than any other company. We found that the price at Amerigas was $1.98 per gal so they were over charging us $1.37 per gal for 800 gal of gas. That's a whopping $1,000 per fill up and they have been doing that twice a year for years OVERCHARGING is 10s of thousands of dollars. They admitted they had been doing that but said the best the would do for us is give us 25 gal free hahaha $50. Come to find out they were also charging us $250 more a year for the tank rental than the price they said they would match. I rec saving tons of money and using any other company. read more

Great customer service! After battling with a heat company(see other reviews) trying to get them to fix my brand new 12k unit they claimed it wasn't working because of the propane regulator. I have been cold for over a week and so frustrated. This makes no sense as I still have hot water but I did it anyway so we could rule it out. I called Campora at 1PM and they had someone here by 4 the same day! The manager (super nice guy) put a new regulator on even though the old was was still very new. Felt more urgency from the company that makes $350 a year from me than the company I paid 12k. Thank you Campora for making me feel like a valued customer! I appreciate your sense of urgency. P.s. it wasn't the regulator, I'm still freezing. read more

We ran out of propane durning the last storm and when I called to schedule a fill up they were booked out 10 days! Totally understandable due to weather conditions. After the driver filled 125 gallons on Thursday my husband realized the tank was leaking. He called and reported the issue to Bri at the Pollock Pines location. The driver came back out and said there's was no leak. After my husband came home Thursday and reevaluated the tank indeed it was leaking. After calling again they had another guy come out on Friday and he said he fixed the leak. After my husband came home Friday night the tank was still leaking. My husband called and spoke to Bri once more on Monday to report the issue again. The driver came out Tuesday and fixed the leak. At this point the tank knowingly was leaking for 6 days. My husband asked to speak to the manager Bryan Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and again Friday with no luck. Everyday my husband called Bri stayed she'd call him back and never followed threw! After calling Friday my husband was told the manager Bryan was out of the office. About 20 minutes after they hung up Bri called back and said the manager will knock off 10 gallons. Well here's the issue we looked at the % left on our tank and it's down 20% meaning we essentially used 50 gallons in 8 days. On top of the awful customer service we've recieved this is absolutely ridiculous. We've always had nothing but great fast service with you guys. But after this I'm starting to think we have been supporting the wrong company. I will be calling tomorrow, Monday to see what is going to be done about the 50 gallons. read more
