I have been a customer of Campora Propane for over 10 years. This is our second home so we are not up there full time and in need of Propane refills as a full timer would need. Our experience with Campora is nothing short of great. The ladies I have dealt with, "Amanda and Kimberley" are so nice and professional and always willing to help me with any issues that might come up in regards to my Tank and service.. Recently I had to have my system checked for Leaks because it had not been filled in over a year. After it was checked, the High Pressure Regulator was found to having a small leak. Campora immediately shut down my system and requested that I contact them when we return so they could have the issue fixed prior to them Filling my Tank.. I advised Kimberley what day I planned on being there next time and she had their guy there that morning to take care of the Tank issue.. I guess I am writing this review (Don't write many, most companies Don't rate a one) because of the ALWAYS GREAT SERVICE I receive from this company. They always answer the phone, not a Robot with a hundred voice prompts, they are so helpful and caring to our needs. They BOTH have GREAT communication skills and are a ASSET to Campora Propane. I had no problems switching over to Campora gas. Everyone was great. Should have done it 20 years ago.

In order for me to leave a review, I had to give them at least a one star rating! I've been using this company for about four years now. It was going pretty good with them until these last two times that I've used them. They just been very rude/ no straight forward answers! Making up excuses after excuses! I had called them on a Thursday to get a refill I told the lady my tank was a little more than 5% and I had a credit of $100 that I would like to use on my refill she said that most likely I was going to run out of propane so those $100 she didn't mention to me because most likely they are going to have their Plummer come a do a leak check! (The Plummer just comes to turn on the pilot and says does ur stove work?!) literally you pay $100 just for him to turn on the pilot for you!! Any ways she said they would be in the following week Monday or Tuesday that's when they deliver in my area! Ok so They didn't show Monday, Tuesday comes so I give them a call to get an ETA! She than tells me you are scheduled for Thursday!!! I told her THURSDAY! You told me mon or Tuesday now you changed it until Thursday I only have 5% she than yelled at me saying and who's fault is that! It's yours not mine!! ! And she gave me the excuse of "they only have 1 DELIVERY DRIVER AND THERES NOTHING SHE CAN DO ABOUT IT!!" That's ridiculous!! I called the manager but again no straight answers just excuses! I've been a customer for six years, since I moved back home. I paid my bill using their online option, the payment posted March 1st. then March 7th when my dinner guest arrived after work there was no way to cook anything, no note nothing, the propane had been turned off. when I called they said they hadn't gotten the payment when I explained again I used their online option and gave her the confirmation number she said it could take two weeks for them to get the payment. Am I out of propane till then, who knows?! read more

Yikes...these people are the worst!! We've had them for 2 years and until now have simply tolerated their lack of service...here's what we have perceived as the problem(s). We began our service with their auto fill system - which by the way is not a computerized tracking system as other propane companies currently use but a bill/usage system (huh?). After having them, what appeared to be whenever they were in the area, simply "top off" our tank and having a bill dropped on site more than often, we decided to opt to just call them when we needed a fill up. Sooo, last week, on Monday, called only to be informed that they wouldn't be able to come until the following Wednesday...no, not 2 days later but NINE days later! What??? Oh, we could have requested "emergency" service for a substantial charge but didn't think that would be necessary. This is ridiculous...this is service?? In addition no bill is ever sent. They just drop a delivery receipt and expect you to pay from that. Wait, more...I e-mailed them 5 days ago and you guessed it- no response. And one last thing...their delivery people are surly and very unfriendly. Enough! After this delivery today ( it's noon and so far no show!) we most certainly will be taking our business elsewhere. Extremely overpriced, with only a $0.10 discount for Farm Bureau members. Campora charged $2.80/gallon when FerrellGas charged $1.55/gallon. Campora's billing is questionable and VERY hard to understand. I really feel like we were overcharged, because the 2 statements sent each month always seemed to contradict each other. We finally decided to literally cut our losses and dump them. Shop around for a better deal (FerrellGas) and stay away from this place. If I could gone less than one star, I would. read more

Hello I live in Copperopolis California my husband and I are both senior citizens. Proximately two weeks ago or more we called in regards to asking for service we stated that we had 30% left on our tank during the cold days right now we've been using more prone pay than usual because we have Covid. Under the seat circumstances I have called three times they keep on telling me it will be scheduled sometime this week I am now at home without heat with Covid as a senior hopefully nobody else will have to go through this experience thank you read more

When I called them to say I was 100% out of propane I was told they'd be there the next day. Since I was flying away on business that night I was happy the elderly gentleman who would be watching my pets and house would have heat and hot water....it's now been a week and I am back home, with no hot water nor heat. They seem to offer NOTHING but excuses of why that is, even blaming me for this. I'm never going to use this horrible company again. Their competitors jumped at the opportunity to service my account and provided me with fuel. The girl I talked with (Deserie) was rude and unfeeling in the situation. She never once called nor let me know why or when I would get fuel, I had to call them over and over again for her latest "reason" they couldn't come fill the tank. My favorite was the driver couldn't run his route due to the snow even though the roads were clear, and I live off the main street on pavement!! I wonder how she'd feel having no heat nor hot water for a week? STAY AWAY FROM THIS HEARTLESS COMPANY. read more

DO NOT use Campora! They are shady and dishonest and have been sued numerous times because of their unfair business practices. (Information provided by a family member who processed legal cases for the Calaveras County court system.) I moved out of a rental home recently and left the propane tank 60% full and fully paid for. It has now been two months and I still have not received my refund, AND to make the matter worse, I was told they would only be refunding me for half of the amount of propane in the tank less a $45 charge for the "service" they provided to read the gauge. There are numerous propane companies in both Calaveras and Tuolumne counties who service this area and I highly recommend that you choose one of them over this unscrupulous company. read more

Every time we've had an appointment set with this company they are at least 2-4 hours LATE. They won't provide a two hour window, so we sit here literally all day long taking time off work for them to arrive at the very end of the day? This is getting very old - make an appointment time and stick to it, this is no way to do business. read more

During this time we were taken advantage of by Kamps (Ernie), Amerigas and Suburban, Just in the knick of time we learned about Campora who we have had now for almost two years. During this time we had a very pleasant experience with installation and set up and have enjoyed lower competitive prices. The associates at their offices are friendly and knowledgeable.
