We show up at our appointment time at 11 AM and we are greeted with, "oh the van is sold, but if you would still like to see it you can." So disrespectful of our time! It looks like a patriotic bomb went off inside that place. It took us 30 minutes to get to their store location from our home. They had plenty of time to call and let me know that the van had been sold, but apparently their front office staff and their sales staff don't communicate or care. This place will tell you whatever you want to hear to make a sale, so don't let the friendly approach fool you. I was very close to purchasing a travel trailer that was significantly heavier than what my truck could safely tow. During the process, my salesperson reassured me that "it would be alright," which is concerning given how important towing capacity and safety are when it comes to RVs. Thankfully, I took the time to educate myself before signing anything. Once I understood the actual numbers, it became clear that the setup would not have been safe. What stood out most was that at no point did anyone thoroughly review my vehicle's specifications or walk me through towing limits in a meaningful way. That should be a basic part of the process. If your salesperson isn't asking detailed questions about your vehicle or clearly explaining towing capacity, that's a major red flag. This has to be the WORST option for any repairs or service, a tree branch fell on my awning, destroying it, I called service at this location since it was real close to where I was, Ericka said I could bring the trailer for them to do an estimate and after a deposit I could order the parts, takes two weeks or so. I drove the trailer with the awning sort of hanging on one side but secured by rope. I walked in Ericka was munching on some sort of snack, did not put down the bag at any time, chewing while talking... I asked her if she remembered the call, she said yes came out, looked and said she would get her technician to come and look at it, she asked if I lived in it which to what I told her no, just for her to ask me again as if the first no wasn't sufficient... I waited and waited, nothing, since I had my dogs in the truck and had it running for the AC, I went back towards where she went just to see her chatting with some other employee, finally when she saw me she raised her finger as to signal to wait for her and said 5 mins as she was walking away with said employee, to what I said I had to go and had been waiting already, she then went to get a technician and the guy came out saw the obvious and said it had to be replaced, he greeted me in Spanish and I replied to him in Spanish, but I had talked to Ericka in English so I don't understand when she attempted to translate when she clearly heard me speak Spanish two minutes before... she insisted we should remove it, but I told her no it was fine as I wanted to get it done all at once. I asked for the estimate and she said it would take about a day, they took pictures, etc. Next day comes and I called her, she said "oh my technician didn't send it yet?" I said no, she said she would call me back in 5 minutes, 45 minutes later I called again and she was surprised it had not been done and said "I will jump in and get it done for you, give me 20 minutes" she called back 40 minutes later to say she had sent the estimate. Low and behold the "estimate" was nothing but some rough estimate prices on the body of an email, no labor hours detail or part numbers, then said " my parts department will find you the best prices" umm you are supposed to get the prices for an estimate, just because it is an estimate does not mean you just write random numbers, I wrote back to tell her that was not even an estimate and why that took over a day. I honestly do not care for her to reply, I am certainly not giving them my business with that ridiculous lack of customer service. It took 4 calls and making the trip there for her out of her hat approximation of cost. And she signed her email as "fixed operations director" wow the woman who cannot put down her snack bag and stop chewing while talking to a customer? or clean out the dried out buggers off her nose, yes it was disturbing to see, hello check the mirror. read more

This review is related to the service/parts department and the star is only for Graciela who finally got this taken care of. I brought in my fifth wheel for warranty work, which was taken care of. Once complete, it was damaged while pulling it out. Accidents happen, I get it, no big deal. They immediately apologized and told me it would be taken care, which they did, eventually. Had a mobile tech come to me, repaired and painted the damage, back to new, just needed to wait for the 1 piece of trim that was broken, this is where my issues began. The damage occurred in April, the trim piece arrived in May, but was for the opposite side of the trailer. Again, things happen, I get it. They apologized again and ordered the correct side again. Then, I stopped hearing from them. I had to contact them, by email and/or phone, to get any status on the order. When I was able to talk to someone or actually get a response to my email, it was either "on it's way" or "we received the wrong side again". THIS WENT ON FOR 5 MONTHS!! All the while never receiving any calls or emails from anyone. I started contacting the service manager to raise the level of concern, but that was no better. I left 3 messages for her one day, but got nothing. It wasn't until I was transferred to the parts manager, Graciela, just a couple of weeks ago, did things go right. She told me the part was coming in on a certain day, and it actually did, and she actually called me to say it was received. I am a business professional and communicate with people all day, every day. For me, there is no greater disrespect than to ignore a call or email, period. If there is no update, tell me that. If the wrong part was received, tell me that, and what you're doing to get the right one. But silence is not golden when it comes to customer service. Save yourself time, anger and anguish, don't come here for service or parts. Make the drive to Menifee or Temecula or Riverside. read more

When I needed warranty work on my generator with 0.5 hours on it they weren't helpful and I had to take my brand new trailer somewhere else. After listening carefully to our needs while touring those campers, he asked if he could show us the Grand Design--and it turned out to be absolutely perfect for us. John stayed in consistent contact throughout the entire process and made sure we were well taken care of every step of the way. On the day of the walkthrough and delivery, we met Carlos and Jesus, who were equally wonderful to work with. When we got home we didn't notice because we didn't use the rv until a few weeks later. When we called and told them they said too bad so sad. We can't replace. Fast forward a few months after having the rv and using it, we had a major leak. Called to ask about repairs, and they said their service department is as shut down by corporate and too bad so sad they can't help. Referred me to Menefie service department. This place is a joke. Out of all the RV lots I've visited, this one was the most deceiving with their pricing. Sales people here tell you pricing over the phone/ through email just to get you on their lot. Then when you get there they tell you they can't provide that price. When you call them out for it they get offended and don't answer your emails. Also, they ask for your ID as soon as you walk in. Don't provide your ID. They use it to do a soft pull on your credit. The 2 sales people I was working with right from the start had a "I know what i have, take it or leave it" type attitude. I am currently considering the purchase of either a truck camper with slider/s, or pulling a 20'-25' trailer. Finally retired, 70, and ready for adventure. Drove 40 miles roundtrip to drop in and visit today, ask a few product questions and basically get my feet wet before buying. I'd hoped to come away with a clearer decision of what I'll purchase but unfortunately didn't get past square one. After entering the main reception area their young greeter asked me "what brought you in today?", didn't give me her name nor ask mine (basic sales 101), then immediately requested my drivers license to enter into her computer. I politely declined handing over my personal information, explaining that it shouldn't be necessary at this early stage of the sales process and a first name should be sufficient. Her explanation followed that "we understand many people don't like giving out their drivers license but we still require it". Again I said that I was uncomfortable with that requirement, so she refused to allow me into the trailer display area! Realizing my trip to Camping World was becoming a waste of valuable time I reminded her that there's many Retailers in the area offering trailers for sale, but instead of immediately calling for a Manager to avoid losing a customer (basic sales 102), she waived me off with one of those phony and sarcastic "have a nice day" as I was departing. So in fairness to the Greeter I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt and simply rack up her seemingly inexperienced, robotic approach to a buyer as simply a poor Management policy. Everything (usually) starts at the top, and this store location could definitely use some better training on greeting potential buyers. How about "Hi, my name is Melissa and how may I be of assistance to you?"...followed by "I'll let a Representative know right away that you're here, and may I ask your first name please?" With just those two sentences a professional Sales Representative has all he/she needs to begin a conversation and to further the transaction process. As a retailer expecting to extract from a customer $50,000-$100,000 (or more) it would serve your establishment much better to use better etiquette than demanding customer's private information before looking after their initial needs first (103). Tried coming here on two occasions and both times were a nightmare. 1st experience was someone who was not knowledgeable enough about RV's and the 2nd experience was with someone who was so wasted , he trippier and fell over the equipment and showed me everything I DIDN'T want to see. My Mom and I decided to visit camping world in Kearney on Tuesday around 5 PM. We were greeted at the door with no smile and quiet annoyance. We then proceeded to wait for somebody to help us which they were quite quick with that. A guy named, Michael walked around and sat us down in the front office and asked what we were looking for. My mom explained that she is wanting to move into a camper towards the end of the year and is looking for ideas of what she's looking for. He then cut us off and proceeded to say that he is only willing to show us three different models because we'll forget anything. This threw me off quite a bit. Considering my mom and I brought our phones to be able to take notes on sizes and model models and qualities in a camper that she was looking for. My mom and I have felt very rushed and unwanted, but we still proceeded to go look at whatever he had and then took us directly to the jayco campers, which are a great model, but refused to show us anything else. I feel like we were rushed and undermined because we didn't know much of what we were talking about and we weren't willing to buy that moment. I was really hoping for a little bit better of customer service but I feel like Michael failed us. My mom did not get the information she needed nor wanted, and we will not be coming back to this place to look at another camper or RV the only reason I gave two stars was because the place was quite clean. read more

I called retail parts in regards to an in command system, the lady who took the call, put me on hold for a while and after 17 mins on the phone still did not understand what I was relating to her, instead asked me if I had looked up the item on the website. I asked her if she was sober or had some issue understanding what I was saying, I thought this was bad, until I called back to speak with the retail manager, he was way worse! Unprofessional, arrogant and instead of addressing the issue, stated they had the best customer satisfaction reputation in the area and I probably did not have the item information. He went on to say "why would camping world get in the middle of a warranty claim with ASA Electronics?" Because you are a distributor for them Einstein!! And even if you weren't your unprofessionalism and poor communication is enough to not want to ever do business with you. Just unbelievable, completely ignorant and rude. We were trading in our old trailer for something that could fit our family comfortably, and the service we experienced was more than we asked for. Our biggest concern was fitting it in our driveway, and let's just say Matt & James problem solved beyond typical customer service. Before we even showed up, I called and talked to Matt and told him exactly what we were looking for, and instead of showing us models we didn't want, he narrowed it down to 2-3 that were EXACTLY what we were looking for.
