Buying a used RV is always hit or miss, but it would be nice if they could be honest when they are dealing with you. We purchased a 2019 5th wheel and realized it was used and leather would have issues, and components may be tired, but when you ask how the fireplace works and they skip by it and say good, but the remote is not available at the moment when what they mean is, "NO, it doesn't work, that tends to irk me. Then there's the issue that the large slide doesn't go out all the way, or the fact that on delivery they forgot to put the electric cord in the camper so I had to ask for it and wait 20 minutes while they played tag as to who was at fault. OK, maybe being a bit picky, so when I contact them and say I need to replace the fireplace, not looking for any favors because, as they pointed out, when you leave with it, there's no warranty, I just wished to replace the fireplace myself and thought I could get a deal by buying from them. I got; I will get right back to you. That was a couple weeks ago and I'm pretty sure the crickets that I've heard are going to continue. If it weren't for the fact that the rv we got from them was what we were looking for I'd be regretting the purchase. We love our 5th wheel, we just hated the service and bullshit we had to go through. read more

Update: Since my initial complaint, we hired JAL Mobile RV Repair to inspect and service the Onan 5500 generator your dealership claimed had been inspected and was in good working order. The findings clearly show the service was either incomplete or never performed: Critically low oil -- no evidence of an oil change ever being done. Cracked, heat-damaged exhaust. Clogged, deteriorated fuel filter. Leak in the main water board due to a damaged fitting. The total cost to correct these issues was $688.83, which we paid out of pocket. I have photo and video documentation of each issue, along with the repair invoice. Despite these findings and repeated outreach, we have still not received any response from the General Manager. The lack of follow-up or accountability is unacceptable and will be included in my formal complaints to the BBB, South Carolina Consumer Affairs, and other consumer protection agencies. read more

If you have to hard sale rather than listen and show what you have available your technique is bad. We told them we were starting the process and unless we found exactly what we wanted at the price point we were looking for we were not interested in purchasing today. The salesman was very pushy and didn't listen to our preferences. We have been on multiple dealerships and this was the worst experience we had. We requested them not contact us and we have gotten multiple inquiries. Not my idea of good customer service. We stopped by a few times as we were camping in the area and came across few issue we needed small parts for. It's a nice store! Has anything and everything you could want from parts to essentials to furniture..the parts department was very nice and helpful getting us the parts we needed . They also have a pretty decent lot full of campers to sell you.. we were there during week and wasn't busy at time.. there's other parts places smaller we went to and closer to our campground but they didn't have what we needed .. when in doubt just go to camping world because more times than not they will have what your looking for.. read more

I'm sure every camping world across the country is terrible but this one in particular is a nightmare. The salesman's are as sleazy as they come about 3 months ago me and my family of 5 where looking into buying our first camper that we had planned on living full time in. We found a camper that was "slightly" used (2024) drive 4 hours to get there just to find out it was a complete shit box sink was dropped down in cabinet they couldn't even set the sink before showing it yea crazy I know it gets better as we are walking around this $80,000 camper he's telling me I have to go around and reseal the entire camper re gel coat it it had a couple busted water lines and lots of other crap I needed to do after buying it. You think they told me any of this over the phone? Nope! They got me to drive 4 hrs to look at a pos so then we started looking at a 25 Eddie Bauer. I ended up getting that unit he lied about it having tank heaters being four season lied about the interest rate now 3 months in the camper freezes every time it gets below 30 and my brand new furnace just went out and found out they charged me 15,000 more than what the camper is selling for everywhere else Im giving them the lowest rating possible please do your self a favor and find a family owned rv dealer stay as far away from camping world as you can especially the one in Myrtle Beach if your looking Jayco go to huffy in Pa hands down the best I've been to but please please please stay away from camping world and if you have to check it out for your self do me a favor and slap the tall skinny white salesman's with the glasses in the mouth for me read more

Please take note that most 1 star reviews are one-off individuals who clearly just have an axe to grind. I can't speak to service but the purchase experience is definitely 5-star. I Just finished spending a few hours with Cardon Dowd at this location and it could not be a more pleasant experience. I came in for an appointment and made it clear this was not a purchase day but rather an opportunity to get a good idea of what I was looking for and options. Cardon was open, honest and very detailed as he showed me around and let me have my time with different units. Never any pressure at all to make a decision. He thoroughly explained the purchase process but again with no pressure. Extremely experienced and answered all my questions and even a few I didn't know I should ask. On a very serious note, I'd like to warn those of you who are considering the extended warranty sold by Camping World. I purchased my RV used in 2023. The finance manager offered me an extended warranty that would (depending on the level I chose) would raise my payments between two hundred and three hundred dollars a month. My payments were to be made for fifteen years! Through conversation and reading the paperwork, I quickly learned that the actual warranty was only for something like five years. Afterward, it appears that you have no extended warranty on anything. Take a moment to think about what I am saying. My payments would go up, by nearly $300 a month. My payments would continue for fifteen years. Twelve months in a year to be paid for the term of the fifteen-year loan equals 180 months. Just think $300 a month for 180 months amounts to $54,000.00. $54,000.00 for five-year warranty, which incidentally still has deductibles. They push the extended warranty pretty hard; I hope you can see why. They did push, but I didn't fall. I can do a lot of repairs and improvements for $54,000.00. On another subject, I have used Camping World Service two times in my life. To describe the experience properly, would be a lengthy message so I will only say, that in my opinion, your house cat or your neighbor's dog, can repair your camper as well as the techs at Camping World Myrtle Beach. Avoid buying an RV from this dealership at all costs. Horrible at customer service and repairs. Representatives are often not working thus it is hard to get someone to help you out with problems. I was able to talk with the general manager about the problems I was having with my just purchased used RV. He listened to me and promised he would call me the next day to settle my issues. He never called me back. When I tried to call him back he never returned my calls. The service manager promised to order some parts and call me back when available. Never heard back. Purchased the RV in July and have never received my tags. Just tried to call and the person I tried to talk to was not available. Please do not ever even look at RV here. Very frustrating experience. The problem is they just don't care about customer service. Very pushy sales persons. Never told about terms of the loan until signing paperwork. Stay away from this organization!! This place is by one of the worst places I've had to deal with in my life my father-in-law told me not to use the place he warned me and after I told him I had it there he just was like stupid move and he was right they damaged the camper. They scratched the diamond plate now Micheal he did try to make it right when I went there to go pick up the camper. I mean that look like somebody had threw a party in there the floor was all dirty, the table wasn't put back together the lack of customer service there and their service department is awful. Somebody needs to be fired. At this point I would've fired the service manager. Micheal has been trying, but it takes more than one person to change this place as bad as it is, he did get the camper painted in the front and they took some kind of black marker and touched up the diamond plate and he did have everything cleaned up in my camper but it took over a month to get back and then they had the audacity to tell me they would offer me like less than $10,000 for my camper when I just paid them just three years ago almost $30,000 for this camper are you freaking kidding me!!! charged $1300 to do all this maintenance. Hopefully it's all done right I don't know I doubt they're work ethics there . and the lady I talk to Katherine she seemed to have attitude with me when I said no to selling them to camper for less than $10,000 they want $20 for a remote control battery that went in the little remote control for the fireplace, which is like three dollars at Walgreens, they said the door was rubbing a little bit up at the top and took money off from that which can be well adjusted the door striker on the bedroom door needed to be adjusted which is no big deal and the screws were loose on the master bedroom door these are all very little things, but the way she was explaining it to me was very rude and very unprofessional and she said did you sleep on the bed and I was like well of course I slept on the master bed. It was in the bedroom she was like well you took the plastic off, so now we have to replace are you kidding me here. This place is a joke. I'm never coming back there again I like Micheal. He should leave and go somewhere else. He knew what I went through there. We want to buy a Class C RV soon so we stopped here to look at some. We were kindly greeted and the lady at there Help desk called for a nice Gentleman named Westley to show us around. He rode us around in a Golf Cart which was cool. Because the lot is so big. We saw a couple of Class C's, they didn't have a lot on the lot, but we have a idea of what we want. Westley was very knowledgeable and explained the different Brands and styles of RV's. It was such a pleasure to meet him and he told us to call him if we need any help in our RV search again. I highly recommend you ask for Westley as your Sales Rep he was what Customer Service should be, top notch!! They missed a star because they didn't have many Class C RV's on the Lot. read more

Never ever buy the extended warranty . The salesman was very smooth. The problem was after being told it would literally cover everything. We paid 10,000. for the policy and have had to fight to get anything paid for. Our rv is a used super c in great shape. We've had some issues with it but was assured that it would all be covered by the warranty. I think in the 3 yrs we have owned it, they may have covered 1 or 2 things. This is an e-insurance scam as far as I'm concerned. The sales person told us and I and I kid you not, that our couch would be covered if our dog tore the material. We never had that problem but it was a lie. They will lie to you to get you to buy one of these things. Put your money in an account and pay for your repairs. True to form, this group couldn't care less about after sale customers. I usually avoid this place but I was in need of a new toilet for our MH and I thought what could go wrong with an off the shelf purchase. Well they proved wrong, they had the model I wanted on the shelf in an open box. When I questioned the sales lady she replied that that's common for people to open things to look. She grabbed it off the shelf, pushed it back to the counter and tapped the box shut. I paid and was on my way. Back home I opened the box and removed the top styrofoam packing to reveal a "used" toilet. A stained flush ball, pop shute, teflon tape on the inlet hose, dirt around the mounting bolts and the parts bag opened with blots scattered in the bottom of the box. 10min till close, I called and read them the riot act, talked to the store manager who assured me they'd have a new one for me the next day. The next day I made the 30mi. trip back to Myrtle Beach Camping World. Wheeled their used toilet in and asked to speak to the manager, he was off for the day and a sales clerk took care of getting me a new toilet and even got the manager on the phone who again apologized for the incident and inconvenience, asked if he could call me the next day after their weekly manager's meeting with some form of compensation. Well that day came and went with no call. Didn't really think he was telling the truth. read more

As Camping World was only a few miles from our campsite we called to see if they had Screen Doors. The CSR said they did, so we took the door off our camper and drove to camping World. When we arrived the people as the front desk rudely told us we had to go to the old building in the back. When we went in the people working the desk said they did not have screen doors but would order one for us. As were were on vacation and would not be in SC for more than 5 days we asked if we could have the door shipped to our home in Maryland. NOW GET THIS!! we were informed the door could be shipped to our home but if it arrived damaged we could not exchange it because they would not know if it was damaged in shipping or upon arrival our house. After several phone calls and emails my service rep finally left me a message to email you when I could drop off my camper.  Early last week at your request I emailed you that I could bring my camper by on Friday for warranty work, but no response back. I later in the week emailed you to see if it was ok to bring my camper Friday and what was the earliest I could drop it off, again no response. You are my customer service rep and do you even know the definition of customer service? Customer service is a set of actions a company takes to help customers. Usually, it involves talking or writing with customers. Customer service representatives assist customers over the phone, email, or in person. The aim of customer service is to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty. My son had his brand new camper in for warranty work and was there for over 4 months. He picked it up yesterday out of frustration that it wasn't being repaired and he will do it him self at his own expense. What a junk spot! I walked in and was in the store for 15 min and not a one employee said as much as a hello to me. There were 5 employees congregating at the front check out talking about where they were headed to eat. I was there for a few easy items but couldn't find one item. I went to the back desk and asked the people but the lady on the left corner around (12:00pm 2/17) had to be the most lazy employee I had ever met. If I were management of that store I would fire her. Instead of offering any sort of solution to my questions she just shrugged everything off and told me to go to auto zone or something. When I got to the front check out for my one item the guy up there asked if I was part of some reward program..... Avoid at all costs!!! I was working with the buying department to purchase my Rv. They gave their initial offer and when I emailed back and forth with the lady she assured me of the offer. I explained I lived out of town and will start planning my trip in. I wanted to talk to someone on the phone just to get more info. It took 3 days of calling and leaving "messages" before I actually got someone on the phone and it was just luck that one was in the office when I called on that third day. After talking with the lady I told her I was going to book the trip. After I had everything planned and booked I emailed the original girl, destiny, for booking of the tow. 3 emails and 3 days later I had to call because I never heard back from her. After calling 2 times I finally got her on the phone. I had been planning on coming over there since we were first emailing and she knew from our first emails that I was not in town and was coming in just for this. When talking with her about scheduling the tow she informs me that the original offer is no longer good and my new offer is over $5,000 less. They hadn't even seen the Rv yet this was just before my trip. I was in shock. The original offer wasn't even 2 weeks old and I had been actively talking with her by email and phone when they answered to make this all happened. What a scam of a company. Their customer service is horrible and you'll never hear back from them and they will pull your offer right before you are about to come to town. And the offer is before inspection so I'm imagining they will make stuff up in the inspection process bringing the offer down even more. How is a company so big able to scam people and get away with it? It's disgusting. Stay away, far far away!!! read more

Broken trust and will never deal with this untrustworthy company. We also got extra chargers totaling over $12,000 and gave $17,100 cash down and ended up paying more than the advertised price. We found that all the personnel we had an interaction with, sales, finance, clerical, & service, were most helpful and friendly, not what I would expect in NJ. I wish I could give them the rating they earned - half a star! Six (6) weeks after I dropped off my 2023 Thor Sequence Class B RV, I got my vehicle back. I had to get the General Manager involved to motivate the Service Manager and Technician to complete the job. I listened to excuse after excuse about why it was taking so long. They basically didn't know what they were doing and didn't want the manufacturer to know, since they are a certified facility. I contacted the manufacturer, the tasks that they were struggling to complete had a 2.5 hour labor rating. I've owned various vehicles over the last 35 years and I've NEVER EVER had a new or used vehicle sit in a repair shop this long! read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. The sales and pickup experience at this location is NOT pleasant. We were there almost 8 hours while they figured things out and addressed obvious issues and problems with the brand new 5th wheel. On the way home, less than 2 hours out one of the rear tires blew out, destroying the wheel and wheel-well. ZERO help and the runaround from Camping World to get this addressed. Numerous other pick-up issues still to be resolved, so let's see if they can do any better with those. read more

Customer sales and service is the name of this place! I went in to look at a nice looking camper that was being displayed near the roadway. It was beautiful but did not serve my needs. Salesman Corey Conover sat down with me, we discussed what I was looking for, and then showed me several campers that had the options my family really needed in a camper. To make a long story short, I found the Camper of my dreams but realized it was out of my price range. Corey assured me he would find this camper used, immaculate, and at a much better price and will save me a lot of money. WOW! He did just that! I now own the camper that my family needs and I saved Thousands of dollars $$$! The process was easy and exciting working with Corey and Sean his boss! After a few months, I called to inquire. Turns out nothing was fixed or ordered. Our RV just sat on their parking lot for two months. Would give even less stars if possible. My husband bought a Filter for our Camper and didn't noticed it was an outside filter. He needed a filter for inside the wet bay. Upon return he was told the filter cartridge is missing and we couldn't get our money back, only an even exchange. We never even noticed it was missing. We never got this far. The box was open and when he got to the camper he noticed the filter was sitting on top of the plastic bag. So when they refused the refund we told them that it was obviously returned before. They claimed they check all returns before putting back on the shelf. And due to their Camera system it could not have been stolen in the store (even though the manager refused to look at it). It felt like they insinuated that we stole the filter. Now we out of $90 and have a filter we cannot use. read more

They advertised an RV event . They said they would have sale prices and food. None of the RV's had regular prices let alone sale prices on them. The hot dog truck got there at 1:00. At 1:55, he said he was still cooking them. I went inside because it was too damn hot out there and was getting heat exhaustion. We finally found some water ourselves in the back corner of the store. I went back to the hot dog truck at 2:10, and he said he was still cooking them- Really! Hot dogs take 10 minutes on the grill. read more

See my prior yelp review....I have been "working" with Camping World Since January to get my refrigerator fixed. I have a 2021 Keystone and the frig has NEVER worked. I have spoken with Jordan at corporate on 2 occasions. The manager quit and another person assigned to be my advisor was moved into another position. So here it is July and I'm still at their mercy. I created a journal to keep up with who I talked to and when and have printed numerous emails. If you have options...go somewhere else. My situation is a little different.
