OMG I can't believe Camping World! Even though I have been treated badly before I still went back on my trip through several states to get to my grandchildren's house. I bought a lot of stuff this last time and on the way to the checkout I bought a Pet Bath on sale. Today I decided to put it together and the important corner part was missing. I called to see if they could order me one. The man in the parts department said I bought it a couple days over the 30 day warranty and since it was on sale they will do nothing to help me. So I'm totally screwed because I bought a product with parts missing from Camping World. At least you could have kissed me when I walked out the door!!! Please beware of all Camping Worlds! horrible! we were going to buy a used camper and we had to wait another day for financing. We put down a deposit of $500 until the financing went through. As i gave him my card i asked if we got our money returned if we didnt make the deal. Of course he said yes. When we decided not to take the deal because of financial reasons (we are almost in a recession) and didnt feel right they wanted to keep our deposit for nothing. i had to call my bank to cancel my card before they ran it. our sales person was rude after i told him we were not going to buy. read more

Louisville Camping World ; Spent 3000.00 on and Installation of two Awnings on my Class A .The Awning will not retract in High winds ,lights don't work .They sent a Mobile Mechanic stating that it was a poor installation and that he would contact Corporate for remedy .I received a call from the Service Dept that it was not their fault .Note: I had a witness and my ring Camera captured his response ..Sad ..Now they want me to bring it back .Seriously ? We were visiting the area and had to leave our trailer at Camping World after requiring a new axle. Brandi was great to deal with. She kept us informed about the status of the axle and repairs as it had to be built and shipped. She was very accommodating about keeping the trailer for us until we were able to make the trip to pick it up. She ensured we were all set for our trip home, even bringing her personal vehicle with compressor over to make it easier for us to top up the tires. Thanks Brandi!! read more

This is the worst and most unprofessional group of camper people in Knoxville. The minute you sign they do not help with problems or follow up with customers. They also do not return phone calls. Camper was held for 3 weeks on Ford recall and still 1 active Ford recall. It has now been in shop 2 weeks for decals and a radio system that has never worked properly. Was also told many stories about what the unit had including GPS which was one of my priorities. Was also told by one of the staff I was old and out of date about computers which for 30 plus years I worked on them and maintained them. Manager did not even acknowledge staff problems. Spent $100k on a used RV with only 12,000 miles on it, we were told serviced and in great shape. The very first trip the AC went out as ONAN generator was overflowing with black oil, the filter was burned. I guess they did not change that oil or check it. Three days later on the same trip the Navigation, Radio, Cameras in essence the entire system went out. The help line response "you know you bought a used vehicle", the 4 year $7,100.00 Good Same protection did nothing. Had to sell rv for substansial loss and the kick in the head for just 6 months out of the 4 years they are keeping over $2,000.00 of that $7,100.00 and are refusing to show me the pro-ration. Cancellation fee is only $50.00 they are thieves. read more

don't trust the positive reviews for this company, after purchasing the RV the dealerships staff will basically coach you into giving them a great review and in some cases have an incentive for you to give a good review. I purchased a brand new a 2019 Forest River Cherokee alpha wolf 26 RL -L model on December 31st 2018. within a few weeks of owning the unit The galley tank started leaking and damaged the underbelly cover. Contact at camping world of Chattanooga where I purchased the unit from and told them the issue. but because I live in pigeon forge Tennessee and they're in Chattanooga they agreed to cover the diagnostics on site by a third party company and once everything was approved by warranty for repairs it was done by mobile company out in my area. well a few weeks after the repairs are done for the galley tank my black tank started leaking with the same issue. Turns out when the tanks are installed at the manufacturer whoever installed the under valley covered drilled the screws that held under belly cover up drill them into the connectors for those tanks in two separate locations. Contact the camping world of Chattanooga again and when I purchase unit from they agree to come pick it up transported there fix and bring it back to me after 2 months of back-and-forth they never came and got it and so I went through camping world of Knoxville. arrange to have the unit towed over to them gave him a few days to look at it and figure everything out that was needed for warranty work. Picked it back up brought it back home and then a few weeks went by they ordered all the parts took it in gave him a week to fix everything and they never had the black tank replace they figured they could fix it but they didn't even attempt to fix it. And installed the new underbelly cover sloppy and uneven and only the front half was replaced despite being approved And them sent the whole length underbelly cover. I told them that was unsatisfactory and they agree to get it replaced because they already had it approved by Forest River for replacement under warranty. well fast forward a few more months to a year now and the repair still have not been redone and camping world of Knoxville keeps sending me around in circles and the Marcus lemonis helpline is useless they didn't do anything but tell me bring the unit back in to look at it for the 4th time now and diagnose a problem that's already been approved and paid for by Forest River under warranty. as many of you probably already know and I learned the hard way camping world is a very sketchy company. And I could tell you wholeheartedly avoid camping world of Knoxville and camping world of Chattanooga at all cost!!! They're service managers at both areas why do your face lie in an email and don't want to honor their original agreement. Sad to say camping world lost another customer, that's if they even care because they already got my money for this unit and sold me a lemon. read more

Worst in the world bought a camper in July. Need a couple of things fix pick it up nothing was done said they had to order items 6 weeks later finally got it in a week later 2 out of seven things were fixed but they said everything was fixed. Again had to order parts. It's been a couple of weeks will not return calls or email staples coming out of roof and walls. Update. Have sent my info to CSTeam and of course nothing so far. read more

I wish I could give them a 1/2 star and that would be generous. I purchased my RV their in Jan of 2023. After I left with the camper I had some question about a few operational things. Would not call me back. I got a hole in my roof and needed a new roof. Service guy acted like I was bothering him so I took it to Weekend RV in Clinton (GREAT PLACE). Paint started fading after I paid $995 for their super coating they had a 5 year warranty on it. I could not get anyone to call me back and the lady that answered the phone gave me 20 question just to leave a message on somebody's phone. I finally called and said I was interested in a new camper and boom, somebody was on the phone. Finally somebody called me and I had to call another company to get the warranty matter started. Bottom line is they suck at what they do. Go to a smaller RV place to purchase your RV. Camping world don't give a crap about you. read more

We purchased our brand-new RV about 3 months ago and this thing has been falling apart one thing at a time. It started with a hairline crack in the basin of the shower pan and escalated to the baseboard under the slide breaking off when the slide closed (the screws were rusty and sheered completely off). There is a continued litany of issues with this defective product; we have a significant amount of travel that we have arranged and can't afford not to have the use of our RV; which the earliest time to have it serviced is a month from now (and who knows how long it'll take before we could even get it back). I received a VIN report stating that this RV had been in an accident and yet that wasn't disclosed. How is this brand new if it's been in an accident? UPDATE 10/22/2022: After the rigmarole of contacting their corporate customer care team, as provided in the comment, who then directed me to their Customer Service Specialist from their regional leadership team (which I doubt made its way to upper management as they claimed it would), the best they could do was have the dealership where we bought the RV (an 8 hour round trip), have their service director call me (and not return my call) to schedule an appointment to bring it in and "work" us into to their schedule. I've already contacted all of our local Camping World service centers and everyone has a lead time of at least one month to start even looking at the RV; then there's waiting for ordered parts and then the actual work itself. I sent them a lengthy email regarding all the defects and explained to them why we can't afford to be without our RV for such an extended period of time. Their response shows an egregious level of tone-deafness by offering a solution that we've already explored and determined can't work. Also, no one has addressed the fact that the RV was flagged as being in an accident. I'm no better off than when I started. read more

Traveling in our class A motorhome with car in tow our lights and breaking system failed. We called camping world and they got us right in. We kept adding things for them to look at and they agreed to look at each one. They didn't stop until all was working properly and we were back on the road. The staff was kind and courteous at all times. Have no idea why the bad reviews. Our experience was exemplary. I have this camping world down as a place I can rely on for repairs on the road. We purchased a used Class C from the team at Knoxville Camping World in December, 2017, and have received EXCEPTIONAL service all the way around. Even though the unit was used, and we didn't spend a fortune, we were treated with respect and made to feel important. Just today, while having them walk through the de-winterizing process with us, the tech discovered that all 6 tires were bad, and HAD BEEN when we purchased the unit. Due to some unfortunate miscommunication, that information hadn't been shared with us (quite the opposite), and we were NOT HAPPY, knowing that 6 new RV tires were going to be VERY expensive. We spoke immediately with Marvin, the Sales Manager, and he stopped everything he was doing to check on the paperwork from our sale. Sure enough, it had been noted that the tires were not good and would need to be replaced. He immediately said, "I will take care of it and get you new tires. I'm sorry this happened." THAT is why we deal with Camping World of Knoxville. The team there is honest, hard-working, and dedicated to the customer, and we are MOST appreciative of how they deal with ALL customers....not just the ones purchasing a $150k new unit. read more

We get an email from sales mgr to tell us we need to call them as soon as possible and we were informed that we either needed to be able to move forward that day or our camper would be sold out from under us as they had another offer. He told my husband the salesman was wrong to tell us they would wait , we only had 30 days to work through insurances but they would hold the $1000 we put up towards the camper we chose to put down on another one. Several things wrong with this statement either salesman or mgr both gave wrong info out, you need to make it right with your customer regardless of who gave out wrong info , making it right would have been easy ... simply ask customer to come in and resign the contract to extend out 30 days by this time both our insurances have paid out the old camper. NEVER NEVER say we will hold your down payment monies thinking we will return to deal with you again after not making it right with us. In fact had my daughter not put money up front with her deal she would have cancelled her purchase from you as well, and lastly and most important they DID have our phone numbers yet sent an email for us to call them. My suggestion to anyone considering this place is just pass them by there are serval other LARGE dealerships that make great deals. Worst experience of my life. Bought a brand new Thor June 2018, and it has been nothing but trouble since. It has to stay a couple of weeks after I bought it to fix some things. Pick it up and get it home, and things aren't fixed including a large gap at top of door which let 1000s of bugs get in. Took it back again after electrical system stopped working and again pointed out door and some other issues they were supposed to fix. Picked it up again a couple of days ago, and had then dewibterize it. Got home, grey and black tanks still full of antifreeze, fresh water tank empty, and the wonderful surprise of getting up this morning to no hot water. Put out canopy because it was raining, came back an hour later and it was collapsed and broken away from the back (an issue it never had before the last trip to service). I'm thinking they must be like some of the chain auto repair places where they always mess with something that will break soon so you have to keep bringing it back over and over again, and they get paid for "warranty" work. Please don't waste your time. I read the reviews on Yelp prior to going in, saw the 2-star rating, and decided to give them a fair shot. I should not have. The lady working the front, shopping side of things was extremely friendly! When we asked to look at some units they couldn't figure out 'who was next' and no one really seemed enthused to assist us. The units we toured we dirty, damaged, not functional, and just overall disappointing. How is a 2020 model already showing obvious damage?!? This location obviously doesn't take care of their products. From there things got worse. The communication between sales and the finance dept was a mess, they lied to me multiple times, then wouldn't get back to me. And in the end they actually raised the price of the unit I wanted during the negotiations. I walked away. I should never have walked in. I beg you not to waste your time!! read more

Made an appointment to have warranty work done... when dropping the camper off they told us to pick it up a day later than originally quoted. On the day that was told for pick up, they still had not got the in to work on it. I understand that they get busy, but appointments should alway come first. If you can go elsewhere to have maintenance done on campers, I'd recommend that. read more

I will start by saying we have owned numerous rv's over the years and have dealt with many rv dealers. Camping World of Knoxville is by far the absolute worst place we have ever dealt with in all our years of having an rv. We bought the RV and drove it home, only to find we couldn't open the slides because a "wire" had came loose. Drove 1 1/2 hours back to have that corrected. The very first trip, water is pouring in from the bathroom vent because of a cracked vent hood, the service light came on the generator, the door handle broke. The "promise" from Camping World to fix the blind the day before we were supposed to have an alignment done was a lie also. The service department just hung up on me when I asked them why they told us to have the rv down there a day in advance of the alignment so they could fix everything they were supposed to. We have never been treated this way at any dealership we have bought from and recommend that no one ever has to experience what we have so far with this dealership. read more

Detoured miles out of our way to go to their Giant little Guy Teardrop camper sale. Called before making the detour and was told they had a large inventory of Little Guy campers as well as other lightweight campers. Arrived to find the that the entire staff was either smoking cigarettes or smoking the place up with a grill. As a result the salesperson seemed totally uninterested. After we walked the lot without a salesperson we found one small teardrop that was used and had severe water damage that they had made no attempt to repair or clean. The salesperson walked up and seemed bothered by us For not wanting a fifth wheel or bus. Left annoyed. Other info: Bathroom was not clean Located well off the beaten path and not worth the detour Location is extremely hard to get in and out of If you have to make a left turn. read more

This place is supposed to be a Little Guy dealership that carries the smaller teardrop campers. They had one USED one with water damage, no electrical or AC for $4,000. Not to mention the guys working there would rather puff on their cigs than help you at all. Sales guy said "there is another one upfront, I think" I will be special ordering my teardrop from New Wave Campers for a little over 3k AC etc. included. This is a brand new unit that Camping World of Cocoa Beach damaged fixing an awning. BRAND NEW unit and they have had this unit now for 2 months. Camping World of Cocoa Beach had it for a month and never even did the work and they are the ones that damaged it. This has been the worse experience ever. Billy the "service manager" has done nothing but give empty promises. He even promised to wash the RV and did not even do that. These people do not want your business. I would leave zero or fewer stars if possible. Our camper has been with this vendor for five months undergoing repair of several warranty issues. With current circumstances, I understand some delays but the lack of communication, customer service, follow up, conflicting information and basic hospitality make this experience one of the worst I have ever dealt with from a consumer standpoint. The corporate office is even less helpful. We still do not have our camper and even if we receive it as "promised" this week, the repairs will not be totally completed. I just hope the repairs that have been completed are adequate. That having been said, I will never use Camping World for any future business! read more

All of these reviews are a great asset to somebody like US who actually just had one other sales people on the phone who told us she thinks the RV we were looking for is there. I want to say again she thinks it's there. We are in South Carolina and willingly would've made a trip up there to look at the RV as we like what we saw on the Internet. Currently we are in route to another RV dealer that had excellent reviews are five stars so we're driving two hours to that location. So location not being an issue. But the reviews help definitely show people think they know what is on their lot or not willing to work with a customer to help fulfill their RV needs. I see lots of negative comments on here about Camping World, but I had only good experiences with them. We bought a new Keystone Hideout in April and they worked with us to find the exact trailer for our needs. The salesperson, Holly, didn't try to talk us into anything we didn't want or use high pressure tactics on us, the finance person worked with our budget, and they had the trailer ready when they said they would. The man who went over it with us when we picked it up did a really good job and answered all our questions. I am pleased with our trailer and with our experience at Camping World of Knoxville. read more

Horrible place! Bought brand new 2021 rv. Took it in for repairs and new tires. Get it home nothing has been fixed. Had the wrong tires so had to purchase a second set. Called them to say that the problems were not fixed and they gave us a disconnected phone number for technical assistance. Really? Very rude people. Still don't have our brand new rv fixed. Water leaking tv's don't work. Should have known from the start it was going to be bad when they paid the wrong bank for our trade and then bounced the check to the correct bank. We bought a camper at camping world a couple of weeks ago. It is a 2021. We have it sitting in our driveway right now and we have the slide out. When we went in the camper to get some of the paperwork that we had stored under the couch, we discovered that everything was soaking wet. It had rained. My husband called Camping World to inquire about this leaking and they said " close the slide when it rains". This is ridiculous. If you are camping and it rains, you take shelter in your camper. Why would you collapse your space while confined inside???????? This is absolutely insane. We have never had to close our slide with previous campers for rain. Worst experience ever, they saw a single female and took full advantage and now will not except or return phone calls. Back in October I purchased a used travel trailer. I understand it was as is no warranty, but does that mean you do not have to do any safety checks before selling??? From what I have been told by several people that work with camping world all units must pass an inspection before being sold. With that being said from the time the unit was delivered I began having major issues with my heat and such, I was told to get it leveled and everything would be fine. I did that and still was having problems, then all the sudden I started becoming extremely ill. It actually felt like I was on my death bed. I should also mention I bought this as my only source of living. So now I am very sick and freezing to death because I'm barley getting any heat at all. After almost 2 1/2 months of this and several phone calls I finally get camping world to come out and see what is going on. (by now I've been on a friends couch because I'm so sick and not getting any heat at home). They send out a service tech and immediately finds a gas leak! Are you kidding me a gas leak, not to mention I'm a smoker it's a wonder I'm still alive. But then I'm like why didn't the carbon monoxide detector not go off???? Oh wait, the fuse is MISSING!!! So they sold me a death trap. The fuse wasn't blown it was flat out missing never put in. So you tell me how was a safety check done? I have tried for over a week straight to get answers. No one has taken the time to call me back. No one cares that I could have died, that because of their neglect I was very ill for 2 months straight with doctor bills adding up and missed worked unable to pay said bills. This was not some minor issue, need I mention again the fact that my home could of blown up or I could have died from carbon monoxide poising and they could care less. Dollar signs is all they had seen not my safety. Then lets also mention I had taken a loan and instead of mailing the title to the bank they sent it to me free and clear. Unlike them I have morals and took the title to the bank where it was suppose to be. read more
