At drop off all this was discussed and talked about if it is going to be over $1500 give me a call, if not go ahead and fix it. I pick the bike up today (two weeks later). Pay the $1k + bill, they bring the bike out. I start looking it over. Looks like the valves were adjusted. But can't tell if the gasket is leaking or not bc there is fuel or something dripping from the bottom of the fuel tank onto the top of the engine. Look at the engine oil, looks good. Inspect the exhaust, looks like gasket was replaced, muffler is a little loose but nothing I can't tighten. Look at front spokes, a few seemed a little loose but better than they were. Back spokes were tightened but one was broken and not fixed or anything. Front sprocket was not cleaned or any signs of inspection done. Plastics were a little loose. But nothing I can't tighten. Start the bike, which it didn't start when I dropped it off, so the valves were done. Still can't tell if it is leaking bc what I assume is fuel leak from the tank or connection. Let it run while I strap it down, start to hear a little tap or slap in the top end. Shop manager claims they will honor their work if anything goes wrong. Hopefully it is fine. My personal experience was not good with this mechanic shop. I don't feel like I should have to go home and work on what I thought I just paid a shop to do.

They got me in immediately with no wait, diagnosed the issue, and instead of telling me I'd have to sit around for a week waiting on a warranty part, they went above and beyond -- swapping a tank so I could get back on the road. I even walked in prepared to trade up if they couldn't fix it, but they focused on helping me, not selling me. Thanks to them, I didn't lose a single day of the vacation we planned. When I was in the area, I visited Bootlegger Harley-Davidson, and it was a great experience. The moment I walked in, I was greeted right away. The staff didn't just say hello and leave it at that -- they asked what I was looking for, walked me over to the hats, and made sure I found exactly what I wanted. They were friendly, professional, and made the whole visit easy. What I like about this location is how welcoming it feels. Even if you are not there to buy a bike, the staff treat you with the same level of attention and respect. The store itself is clean, well organized, and has a good selection of gear. You can tell they take pride in both the products and the customer experience. I walked out with the hat I needed and a really positive impression. It is always nice when a store gets the basics right -- greet you promptly, help you find what you need, and send you out the door satisfied. That is exactly what happened here. (Five Motorcycles)

Extremely Disappointing Experience - Rude Sales Management and No Follow-Up…read more We visited this Honda dealership as we begin shopping for a new Honda Pilot. Our goal was simple -- to understand current pricing and trade-in value so we could compare across multiple dealerships before purchasing by the end of the year. Our salesperson was polite, but the sales manager, Joe Jemley, was shockingly rude and dismissive simply because we mentioned that we planned to compare pricing from multiple dealerships. He actually questioned whether they "wanted to give us pricing" on a car and refused to provide a trade-in value for our vehicle. His attitude throughout the interaction was abrupt, condescending, and completely unprofessional. After the visit, I reached out to our sales rep and asked for someone above Joe to contact me to discuss the situation. I was told the GSM, Trustin Hampton, would call me the next business day -- that call never happened. I then called the dealership myself and asked to speak with Joe Jemley's manager, Chris Denny, and was transferred to his voicemail. That call was never returned either. This experience reflects a complete failure of leadership at multiple levels. Joe Jemley's conduct showed a total lack of professionalism, and the fact that no one from senior leadership followed up only reinforces the poor culture and accountability at this dealership. We will not be returning, and we strongly recommend visiting AutoNation Honda or Rusty Wallace Honda instead -- their professionalism and customer service were exceptional and a night-and-day difference from what we experienced at Airport Honda.

For most businesses, customers represent revenue opportunities. In contrast, some businesses have a…read moreunique sense of mission and treat their customers differently. Star Powersports is the latter kind of business. It's mission to serve the motorcycling community is second to none. I was on a 2,700 mile motorcycle trip with the Jewish Motorcyclists Alliance for our annual convention. Our last day was at the Whitwell, Tennessee, children's Holocaust memorial. I was riding home on my Kawasaki Vulcan VN1600 cruiser with two guys from the Northeast. Suddenly, a piece of road debris puntured my rear time on I-40 East by Exit 378 in Knoxville. It was 5:30 PM. Bike shops closed at 6:00 PM. What to do? I called Star which was two miles away. I fully expected to spend the night in Knoxville. It wasn't to be. Cora in Parts went to a nearby Cycle Gear and sourced a new rear tire. Robert came and picked up me and the bike. Shaun who runs the shop and Emily in Service stayed on to help. Master mechanic Jake installed the new tire. Those five people stayed until past 7:30 PM to ensure I was back on the road that evening. That's 5.5 man uncompensated man hours to help a stranger. I caught up with my friends in Marion, Virginia; traveled the next day to Bethel, Pennsylvania; and I was back in upstate New York Thursday evening. Robert told me he'd worked at Star for five years. "How do you like it," I asked. "It's special," he told me. "There's a unique culture here. We treat our customers like family." Indeed, they do. I'm so fortunate the Star Powersports family adopted me.

The guys at Tommy's booth were very knowledgeable and helpful. After signing the contract Tommy's continued being just as helpful and were great at communication. Tommy's doesn't do a hard sell or try and sell you things you won't need and happily answers any and all questions. When the impeller pulled something in, Tommy's was quick to set up a time to get service. They don't make promises they can't keep and certainly go beyond expectations. This is the kind of business and people we like to do business with and feel lucky we bought from them. Sara and Richard are great people. I can't remember the two or three other gentlemen we met but they deserve a thanks too. Tommy and Barbara delivered the Wave Runners and gave us a quick rundown about them.
