I've had a few instances of needing my 2018 RV worked on...mainly a leveler issue, and the black tank sensor. The individual techs I dealt with were knowledgable and extremely helpful! "Berto" will forever be in my mind as a quintessential RV tech, and very nice man. I do agree with other commenters though. It is impossible to get through to the service desk and return calls are rare. I mentioned it to the Service Manager, Justin, so at least they've receeived face-to-face feedback on this fault in their cystomer service model. 5 stars to the techs, 3 stars to CW in general. read more

Springtime is on its way, and it was time to think about trading our C class Leisure Travel Van for a larger Class A rig. Now, keep in mind that we had actually begun our search for a larger RV last summer. Although we knew what we were looking for in a bigger rig, we hadn't come across any RV's that appealed to us or seemed worth trading for our LTV. We polished up and readied our LTV and started the search for the perfect upgrade. One coach in our search really stood out to us on Jackson, MS's Camping World web site. Chase, their salesman, worked with us long distance to come up with a very fair sounding trade in value for our LTV and enticing purchase price on their A class Thor Wind Sport. After a 4 hour drive we drove into Camping World's parking lot and Chase walked out to meet us, along with CJ (purchasing manager) and Patrick (finance manager). What a warm welcome, handshakes and small talk all around, it felt like a home coming! They were very interested in our rig, and my husband showed them all around the upgrades and special features. Chase could tell that I wanted to see the Thor, and he walked with me over to see it. I couldn't believe how beautiful it was, perfect shape and very low mileage. My husband and I quickly agreed that this was the RV we had been searching for, and a test drive sealed the deal. My husband knows a lot about RV systems and did a very intensive walk through. Sam (service tech) and my husband were kindred spirits as they talked about ALL the system details during the walk through. Richard (sales manager) made sure that the RV was in perfect shape, even directing that a new air conditioner be installed when one wasn't operating up to par. The service bay techs stayed late to be sure that the Thor was polished and gleaming, every system functioning well, and the rig filled with gas and propane. Shout out to Phil for cleaning footsteps inside the RV, and Q for giving me his own office step stool! Chase and Rick stayed with us throughout the whole day's experience, Chance (finance) stayed late to help us complete all paperwork, and we drove off in a beautiful "new to us" 2023 Thor RV. let me start off by saying it was a long process, but they were going through a transition of Pooler store being remodeled. Not totally happy with the whole process, but our sales person was AWESOME. otherwise I would have walked. Hanna Thomas was excellent. very knowledgeable and if she didn't know she found out without hesitation. She went above and beyond. She catered to my wife who is a disabled veteran and made sure the process went a smoothly as she could know my wife's limitation. I would highly, highly recommend Hanna to anyone. I bought a $30,000 piece of crap from Camping World in Jackson, MS. I would advise anyone looking for an RV to avoid Camping World and any Forest River Products. I purchased a new Roof Rockwood Mini Light from them and by the time I arrived Home in St Louis, the water system and electrical system had failed. I took it to my local Wentzville Mo Camping Word dealer and they attempted to fix it. They didn't. I am now the pride owner of a $30,000 RV that I cannot hook up to city water or make coffee with 120v outlet. I recommend not buying anything from camping World or any Forest River Products!!!! I bought a used 178 RPod from their MS store one Saturday a while ago. They would not allow me to pay cash (check). Then they would not let me pay with my credit / debit card as the sale price was over their $5K cap. I HAD to finance through their carrier. I paid it off quickly to avoid additional interest but I was already out the application costs. The sale - start to finish was more than 8 hours long. As I was preparing to pull my camper away, I noticed that the Black Tank and the Grey were both full. My wife and I were new to the RV experience and did not know what I should expect. I would have walked away several times but my wife picked this unit online and her heart was set on taking "the puppy" home. I did buy the Good Sam coverage with their strong recommendation. On the way home (Birmingham Metro), the passenger side tire blew (rubber fatigue) on the side of the Interstate somewhere around midnight Saturday. No lug wrench for the trailer. I called Good Sam. GS's recording told me that they will help me when they opened Monday. AAA saved us from the pitch-black darkness along the narrow edge of the Interstate near Eutaw AL. I got my new prize home around 4 a.m. Later I learned that the roof leaks and the rear wall was deteriorated. The floor has a good bit of softness to it that I am worried about. Perhaps I had the "Perfect Storm" of bad luck or... I have not been back. I will not recommend them. I am posting now as I have been very well remembered with solicitations from CW and GS ever since. Went to look at two campers, I walked in the first one which was a 2017 heartland prowler, the camper was litteraly leaking water from the roof so I said on to the next. The next camper was a 2015 and the flooring by the bathroom was caving in. Now I wouldn't have a problem with this at all, but the salesman did not let me know these issues I found them all on my own by just looking at it. If I wouldn't have said anything then he would have never mentioned it. Do I blame him? No. He's just trying to make money for himself and his family but the company sucks and they have defective campers on the lot and will not tell you a thing. Do not go here! It's a waste of time. I will say though, the newer campers look good but after reading the reviews I don't see this place being in business much longer. read more

Jim b again, things have only gotten worse. beside the fact it was never cleaned well it was never "checked out" either. according to camping world they go thru the unit and make sure everything is working correctly. when we got home with our BRAND NEW unit the hot water heater was leaking and the pump was left on. so instead of an hour and a half drive back i tighten the drain plug and fix the problem. then we turn on the shower and the knobs blew out water so i tightened them also no big deal, BUT!!! then we fill the water tank only to find that it leaks on the inside getting water all over the floor under the bunk beds where a mass of wiring lays up to and including our 30 amp service cord that rubs wires, water and plumbing when taken in and out. We bought our Camper first of May from Jackson MS Camping World with salesman Ralph after having an appointment and staying with him until closing time. He sold it to us with all the bells and whistles on it. We took it out for the first time on Memorial Day weekend, confident in our newly purchased product and a fuse blew causing the entire fuse safety panel for that outlet needing to be replaced. Thinking it was a blown fuse and a quick repair, the camper sat on the lot for 2 weeks without anyone looking at it. Then after repeated calling, they finally looked at the issue. We were told the panel needs to be replaced and they are super busy to which they gave us no time frame as to when it could be ready. With this in mind, I purchased a 2024 brand new, state of the art camper to take on adventures this summer and I am unable to use it like planned. I just made the first payment on it and now wish I hadn't purchased it in the first place. read more

My husband and I bought a Montana High County RV in February, list price $85,000. After camping in a couple of times we found a lot of small things wrong with the RV. But before we ever pulled it off the lot, one of the technicians found a manufacturer error & said it would be a warranty problem. He would have to send in a form for approval & get back to us. We never heard a word!!!! So we was trying to set it up @ the Neshoba County Fair & the automatic leveling would not work at all!!!! I finally blow my top & called the store manager & got some help. They lied & said Keystone refused to fix the wall that was messed up & refused to pay for the part for the water heater, which didn't work from the beginning. I bought a camper in the summer of 2022. I purchased all of the warranties. I had a leak immediately after I purchased the RV. The P trap for the shower had a crack likely when I purchased the vehicle. When I went to parts they sent me to service, when I went service they sent me to parts and both told me to find plumbers around town. After the run around, they created a ticket and ordered the wrong part twice. They lost my part I gave to them so they could make the right part. Service lead told me he would take care of it and I would be good. I haven't had a shower in 2 months and the 3rd part they gave me still leaks. With a bill that is 20 times higher than what I was told it would be. I wouldn't ever tell anyone to buy from this place. read more

They sold me a defective camper. There were a few cosmetic issues they were supposed to fix before I picked it up but didn't. When I mentioned it I was told it was supposed to be done for me to take it and make a list and they'd send the mobile guy out, I was told I had a 45 day "kick the tires" period. I went back to schedule the repairs, many more than I expected, and was told they stopped doing the 45 day thing and had never had a mobile service tech. After 13 months of phone tag, being hung up on, lied to and passed over I'm at a loss. I don't know where to go from here. Contacting corporate is nearly impossible and even more useless. Looking at the reviews, I see things have not changed with this dealership. In 2017 I was in the market for an RV trailer and went to the Jackson Camping World. The sales people were very pushy Trying to get us to make an instant decision. The sales manager at that time even acted like baby faking crying when we left without buying on the spot. We looked online and found that other Camping World stores had the same unit for much less. We actually bought it from the Camping World in Tallahassee and saved over $3000. Then we knew the pushy buy it now attitude was an act to extract more money from us here in Jackson. So buyer beware, after they give you a quote here call other Camping World dealers. IF YOU PURCHASED A 2016 Wildcat 5th wheel from this Camping World I hope they informed you u about the roof. My guess is they didn't. If not please read below. Just wanted to share a very valuable lesson learned. This is an update on my previous review posted. We have learned that the only way a warranty will be covered on your roof is that you keep receipts for purchased products needed to maintain the roof. It is not necessary to purchase their $399.00 roof maintenance service as they have been telling a lot of people. However, we did not know that we needed to be saving receipts as proof of roof maintenance. Also take pictures of your roof periodically time stamped with dates and by all means take pictures the day you do your roof maintenance. I would even probably take a video just to be on the safe side. You will need all of this information in order for your word to stick about your roof maintenance even if your roof looks immaculate. If you purchase a Forest River product, being they own 40% of the RV industry, apparently allows them to take five times as long to get the needed parts to the locations for repair. So steer clear of Forest River products. This is the company which taught us a very valuable lesson of roof maintenance proof. They do not like to honor their product even if it is a defect as proven. Our camper was a 2016 Wildcat and we had treated the roof four different times but the glue was separating from the rubber roof product. We were told by two different service departments this was a defect and Forest River would replace the roof. Well they started fighting from the word get go but unfortunately the people selling their products would not fight back. So, understand you are purchasing a product and you were pretty much on your own if you were denied and also make sure that the words chosen to describe a defect are accurate and can be supported with pictures or video. You make sure as the consumer that you see all of this information before it is submitted no one is going to fight for you except for you. It's unfortunate that the same energy put into selling you the camper is NOT I REPEAT, NOT put in to helping you maintain the camper. Do you know why, because their handy dandy salesmen are waiting to pluck you out of the service department in your time of despair to sell you a new camper. I'm not making this up go back and read a lot of the other reviews do your research. Also, apparently all of the RV companies close two weeks for Christmas and a week for Thanksgiving so allow extra time for your RV to be in the shop during this season. If you are an easy pushover, take someone strong with you if you are still choosing to use this company. Camping world has nailed down a great hustle and apparently a very lucrative hustle because they continue to open stores. My only concern really are the elderly and the weak who choose to do business with them. I know there is someone's grandmother and grandpa other out there who possibly wanted to retire but cannot do you to being suckered into their scam. I even got corporate involved. The only option Kenny Durham gave me was to return my camper with the defect roof that was not going to be replaced due to choice of words and inaccurate pictures which were sent. Which I blame part of this on myself for not checking what the service department was sending in to Forest River. Of course we checked afterwords but the damage had already been done. Forest River ran with the wear and tear comment that the young boy sent in because he could care less. To our knowledge he was fired. Not because of our ordeal but because he was always sitting around on his phone playing and half doing his job. So let me see.... do I keep a brand new camper which I feel I paid a little too much for, or do I get my old camper back with a roof that I will have to replace even though we did the maintenance and the new service guy as well as the others who looked at it 100% felt that it was a company defect. After the new service manager saw our dilemma, he sent in new pictures that clearly showed the problem unlike the previous pictures which were taken in the dark. For it to be covered by Forest River it had to show a 6 inch diameter bubble. It was only showing a 5 1/2 inch bubble. You've been warned. If you're needing parts for your RV that you can fix then order them online or find a mom and pop shop that can help you out. Do not buy anything from Camper World of Jackson. We bought a $120,000 Class C Motorhome, as soon as we signed the papers we realized we are on your own. We have had our brand new motorhome in the shop 3 different times with nothing fixed. There is a dent above the driver's door which was not there when we dropped motorhome off to be fixed. Now the hot water tank, oven/stove does not work, and the awning will not come out. Again, it is a 2021 motorhome. We have called numerous times and had to leave a message and no one calls back. I have talked to the sales manager, David, and Chris with no useful results. I have asked to speak with Mark the general manager and everyone says he will call me back, but he hasn't. We had no intention of purchasing a camper, but Ralph Watson saw us browsing the new inventory of campers and did the best job ever showing us campers that would fit our needs to a T! I bought the rv almost three months ago. I have a problem with rv and all those departments located in Jackson ms a main camping world headquarter. 1st sale department : before I bought the rv I asked to show the record of vehicle but they keeping said this rv have no issues and if I have problem with rv then this vehicle still under warranty! I trust them and drove out the road but after 10 minutes ABS sign came out and after three times trying to fixed ABS light and sounds are still there!! They were lied about warranty and they been hiding the problem vehicle and sold. 2nd financial department: After staying there all day more then 7hrs finally rv was ready without cleaned. The store was 5 minutes before closing time. This financial guy came to me and not even looking at me he was rushing and without explanation of documents, he just pointed out where to sign. At that time I also purchase rv warranty but I was asking to him "what if I don't want it later" he said "you always can let me know then it will be fully refund" I when there few days later and canceled the warranty but still never been refund. (By the way just few days ago I finally got cancellation documents that I signed after chasing him for two months.) but never refund yet... Front lady: I called more then 15 times asked for general manager she always has excuses and transfer to someone else or she took massage but never respond my call. Terrible customer service. Main headquarter: I called them and report the complaint 10days ago. And they hang up on me!! What a terrible experience with camping world. I can't even give them a star, it was that bad. First off my wife an I went to look at motor homes and the sales guy Parker was great, and helped us find a motor home that we were interested in and applied for. Got approved with a 750 credit score and was gonna put down 10k. I have a great job in California since that is where I'm from and make 150k salary. Don't know what the issue was but we called everyday after the approval and there bank wanted my W2s, which I turned in with no issues. Never heard back and what pissed me off, was after they ran my credit, nobody couldn't give us any answers on what was going on with bank and getting finalized. I feel really bad for there sales reps who probably make commission on sales. So what did I do, I waited a week never heard a word and went to another camping place called Camper Corral and they got me approved and everything went very well and we got a new motorhome. This camping world location is just like the rest...terrible. After driving four hours to Lafayette, LA from Hattiesburg, MS...the trailer we were going to purchase that we saw online had been sold and they tried to convince us one on the lot was the one advertised online...until I had them pull their website up to show them they were lying. Then when the price was higher on the one on the lot than the one advertised, I mentioned that I had found others with many more options elsewhere for thousands less and the salesman literally laughed at me and said there was no way...to which again the internet proved him wrong. After the trip, we did like the camper enough to purchase it...along with an EXTENDED WARRANTY. When we got home we found a few things wrong or missing...but our numerous calls to the Lafayette location were never returned. After two months...while on our second camping trip...the long drain pipe from toward the rear of the camper broke off at the dump joint. I decided to drive the hour to the Biloxi location as I was told any store could be used for service. After two months of being told different stories, we were finally told that they had inadvertently damaged the floor of the camper while making repairs and were waiting on new linoleum to come in so they could replace the flooring. That eventually got handled. Then around six months later after our third camping trip since the service while closing the slides...a corner of the new linoleum must have come up and was ripped all the way across by the slide. We tried getting it back in with Biloxi but we're continually told they were full until a couple of months later when we were finally told they weren't taking any additional units for repair until further notice. At that point we tried the Jackson location, and initially were told that we had received a horrible repair job from Biloxi and they'd handle it. After a month with few returned calls, we were told that they'd have to be paid by Biloxi for repairs, but Biloxi's service manager refused saying we had not brought the unit back soon enough after service for additional repairs to be covered. We objected and were told to talk to Biloxi...to which we were treated horribly. We have tried for another month to get a return call from Jackson, and now that we have...we were told by their service manager that he'd "try to work something out with Corporate to make us happy". I'm not sure what to do at this point because they are all terrible to deal with and obviously don't care at all about their brand reputation. All I know to do is to engage an attorney to contact the corporate entity because $40,000 plus the cost of seven years of a warranty that's not being honored is way to much to spend for how badly we've been treated. We've never talked to anyone that has been happy with Camping World, so please go anywhere but there for your RV needs!!! read more

We were on our way back home on a 500 mile trip and our front driver window exploded. We had it crash wrapped by a window repair shop but on the way home it started to rain and the tape didn't hold that the company put on. We pulled into Camping world at 8:30am and we standing in the rain clearly retaping and struggling with the window to minimize damage inside. Three different service people pulled into the parking lot, watching us struggle and didn't offer any help. We walked over to the shop and followed one of the men in and he told us that he would not help us until 9am!!!! Absolutely unbelievable that a service shop as large as camping world wouldn't even be willing to help someone with an Rv in an emergency situation 15 minutes before they opened. This is worst service department of any industry I have ever seen. My camper was there for 60 days. From July 2 to July 27 they were ordering parts. I picked it up on the 27th (still waiting on parts) for a quick trip and told them to call me when all parts arrive. i brought it back August 19th (they called and said all parts arrived). I had to call nearly everyday (with no returned phone calls most of the time) , finally I picked up on SEPTEMBER 23rd!!!!! Guess what? They repaired 4 items of a 9 item punch list. With 2 techs every thing on the list could be knocked out in 3 days (and that is giving PLENTY of time). They will not call you. I have asked the service manager to call me multiple times. never heard back. This is a 2019 unit, under warranty. They billed warranty for half the items they didn't repair. read more

We bought ours 2 years ago and have only taken it out 4 times, 3 times 5 miles from home.,, took it in for problems to be repaired by warranty we paid $5000 for, generator not working, AC not working, stove not working... only to be told had to resurface roof we've had covered whole time in our possession , warranty fixing some problems but having to pay for new stove because warranty sold to us that "covered everything " not covering stove, only part because no longer made.. so used camper 4 times, so many problems we are going to pay over $3000 for all these problems and we've basically never used the piece of junk. Bought our first camper from the Biloxi store in 2019, was lied to about warranty. Took it out once and had issues. Took 30 days to get it in their shop. It sat for 9 days before we picked it up, untouched. Traded it in to the Jackson store for a used 2021 late October. The day we picked it up. The Dealer ship shattered a window in the living room side-out cutting grass. They taped it up from the outside and glass was falling in on the inside. Was told the window would be ordered and shipped to Biloxi store to be installed, At their expense. Because we live closer to it then Jackson. We are from the Coastal MS. The trailer was FILTHY, hair in the shower and around the dirty toilet. Sinks and fridge dirty. NONE of the floors had been cleaned. Black water was 2/3 full , Both Gray water were half full. Even though we paid $600 for prep and cleaning. That was 3 months ago. We have taped the inside and have checked with our salesman , many time. No window, no response from his supervisor about letting us take it elsewhere and have the window fixed at a local glass shop. Now I am waiting on parts to call me back, because they don't answer the phone. 3 Try's just to leave a message. The list is growing of things that don't work. Recliner, light fixture, tv antenna. But bought all the warranty we could get, now to find someone else who take it. Also was slapped with $1000 in Emergency Alerts we told them we did not want and that would be removed from the contract and they didn't, on the financing side. I've had nothing but problems with my 2019 jayco greyhawk after calling Corp. and the unit stay down there for about six weeks I called them today and they tell me that Corp say they cant do business with me to take it somewhere else and it's under warranty and the last review is right they want answer the phone or call you back. read more

not even worth 1 star but had to put it to post this. Very long story that lasted over 2 mths. Just want to say Camping World of Jackson MS is the worst. My salesman wasn't great but he was new and thrown to the wolves, me, lol.. Anyway, This place has the worst customer service I have ever seen, and No One will ever return a call and avoid you if you have questions they don't want to answer. Here is an ouline on what happened. 13th- found 5th wheel, started paper work and was told to get insurance on it so we can pick it up monday. 15th- had 9 am appointment to finish paperwork, bring trade in and get hitch installed. after 12 was told they did not have my hitch have to come back friday, took day off to do this, agreed to deliver if paperwork was good, was delivered Wednesday with contract in hand,but he did not bring power cord, will bring it by 915 the next morning. 16th,- called at 1030 was put to Brandon's cell phone, he did not answer, left messege and within secs my husband got a text saying hes on his way, but he would not talk to me? had it there by 1230. next mth 15th- payment due on 20th so I sent check out to be there on time. Noticed my trade in was not paid off. Called CW and could not get Chris nor Mark to answer or return my calls. 16th - called, no answer from either one 17th - 21st - called with no call backs as well as some text messeges 27th- called and texted Chris, was very mad at this point, he called husband, said new paperwork has to be done. I have $400 check floating around out there for a payment. was told I need to pay this mths payment on trade in since new paperwork has to be done. next mth 3rd- left another messege to see what was going on with the pay off of trade in, I refuse to make a payment when you have it. Husband called office 3 times in a row because Chris nor Mark would answer, he finally left a messege, - got call back and thats when all hell hit the fan, they said they could not get us financed and has to come get the 5th wheel and bring our camper back. - checked my credit and found out they had did 5 or 6 hits on my credit and it brings it down right much with each hit. My name was not even on the 2nd set of papers so why in the hell did they run my credit on the 2nd after the second contract was drawn up? I know there was so much more but you get the point. I got so tired of dealing with them, it was always one thing after another, they want to come get camper, come get it, I want my money back and my camper back, told them to fix my credit but they still have not done it. If I had to live on the streets or deal with them I think I would take my chances on the streets. Worst of the worst places to deal with, you will never get call backs, lucky if you get a camper, and your credit will take a BIG hit, so now we have to wait to get a camper, have to bring credit back up the 55 points the dropped it. HORRIBLE! Don't expect them to honor their word! left RV for small repair, made appt well ahead (days), told ready next day. Reminded them to leave fridge on. 5 days later when It was actually ready, fridge off & food & meds destroyed. Service mgr said they'd reimburse. They gave some (not all) & won't pay the rest. Corp customer service also useless. GM at store doesn't take calls. 4 months later did get him to call - said no, not their fault! GRRRR! I'll never shop there again. Buyer beware! Bought a new camper over 3 months ago. Put down $2400 on a not quite $25000 unit. Long story short, only received paperwork after waiting over 3 hours to leave, asked for it numerous times during the wait. Got home only to see that I had financed over $27000. I went back, saw Chris and signed paperwork to have added insurance removed. Chris told me he would fax paperwork to finance company. Over 3 months later, I looked Chris in his eyes and he said "oh yeah, I faxed it again last week.". Talked to finance company 9 times and no one has seen or received a fax. I also received a new dirty unit and was told by Patrick that they wouldn't clean it because I got such a good deal. I pissed about paying interest on something I didn't want!!! No need in calling them because they screen their calls and WILL NOT call you back. I have personally seen them screening calls. This is by far the worst dealership to do business with!!! Corporate is just as bad so no help there. Attorney General is my next step with this bunch of arrogant con artist. read more

This camping world was great. We we're traveling with our 3 grandchildren when our airconditioningin our motorhome went out. We we're not far from Jackson MS so we pulled in there for help. They took a look at the thermostat, and had us up and running within an hour and a half. I can't praise them enough. I would give them 5 stars. read more
