Tools that made it home a hour

*Disastrous Experience with Camping World* - On April 4th, I visited Camping World for a work truck service and waited for hours without a ride. - I expressed interest in an RV and began the sales process. I liked the floor plan of the first RV shown to me. - Camping World agreed to install an awning and generator main panel, which they said would take 2-3 days to complete once the parts arrived. - On April 5th, I signed the paperwork and prepared to leave. When I asked for a demonstration of the stove, I was informed that there was no propane in the tank. The staff filled with it and showed me how to use it. - On April 6th morning, I noticed: - Putty knive still on the roof (made it 1hr home) - RV was dirty despite paying for detailing - Full black tank (Not my poop) - On April 7th, I noticed: - The work truck I brought in that I had been upsold on a job to seal the back windows, but the water issue persisted - I contacted Brady (sales manager), who assured me that they would "take care of me". On this same phone call April 7th I asked to cancel my service contact on 2021 jayco  As well as tire and wheel protection and road side assistance. He told me to email, I did same day I also sent a message on their website. No response or acknowledgment. A month later.... - I was informed that my tires had arrived, but I was unaware that I was receiving new tires. I requested that Camping World notify me once all the parts were in. - On May 28th, I brought the vehicle back for service. However: - It took three weeks to get an update - I was told about fired employees, unable to access emails, wrong parts, and potential alterations - last visit in on 8/11 the service manager apologized and said that truck shouldn't have been sold to me yet because it wasn't ready to go.. another week or two for completion he says. - 8/23 I go pick up the truck nobody called me to informed it was ready. - I didn't see the truck for 12 WEEKS, and when I picked it up, I didn't even know which one it was! Their resolution was 1000 dollars and wanted me to sign yet another agreement! - Camping World also sold me multiple extended warranties as well as a roadside assistance package with no service providers within 260 miles of Durham, NC. When I tried to return it, within the grace period Brady told me to email him, and I never received a response. -I waited to post this.. I sent a email to the Marcus looking for resolution... he has still yet to respond.. go figure! *Avoid Camping World at all costs* Their sales and service teams seem to be working in silos, and their communication is nonexistent. If you value your sanity and your wallet, stay far away from this dealership.

The worst experience of my life. I have been trying to get my camper fixed since march of 2025. It's December. I've had to bring it back and fourth multiple times. I never get communication from them. I try to talk to the manager and they railroad me and send me back to Fernando. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. most people have to deal with them and don't get a choice. Be prepared to pull your hair out. Not have communication from them. Them not fix the stuff they say they will. Them fix shit just for it to break at home or half ass not even actually fix it. And they will probably damage your camper in the process. Shitty service from Fernando. Shitty service from the manager who doesn't call back. The only helpful one that told me I needed to give them pictures of the fridge was Justin. (The fridge doors not latching/closing was one of the reasons I brought it into the shop in March. And they didn't take a pic of the model number or serial number on the fridge. I mean it's literally common sense.

We brought our first brand new 2023 RV trailer on 11/30/2022.The sale rep and Tony were nice and get purchase done. However when we ready get on our trip and found water and heating are not working. We saw there is sign on trailer window "this unit has been winterized" so we called service of camping world to get dewinterizing. When we get there the service technician said there are multiple parts broken because of it is not winterized the pump and pipe in tankless unit were broken because of freezing. He said when the person did walkthrough got it dewinterized. Why after they dewinterized trailer and did not remove sign or let us know it needs to be winterized!!!! Now in order to fix them it will cost us thousands of dollars because of customer faults and not covered by warranty. We are new for RV trailer and we had been told them we need to know everything need to be alerted. We decided do nothing with them. They still charged us $260. It is like black hole to get service with them. BE AWARE if you plan to buy RV from them!!!! Warranty from them is like a joke. It will always customers fault. The world is changed no honesty anymore!!!

Only a one star because zero isn't an option. Parts department is completely useless. Just order the parts yourself and save time

It really depends on what you're looking for when you come, but I have managed to find ammo and…read moresome other things for a good price when on sale. Otherwise it's expensive. The service there was pretty decent and the staff were nice /helpful. My favorite part about the shop is just the fact that they put so much energy into how it looks. There are scenes everywhere with taxidermy and replicas. Geese and ducks "flying" (hanging) near the ceiling. And they do have a large fish tank there with live fish. Overall I feel like you pay for the experience when you are there too

"Manager" Roger is a complete tool! I was #15 in a line of 16 patrons trying to check out at 4:00…read moreon a Friday. There was only ONE cashier. I asked the greeter (drowsy guy in beige and white) if he could call a manager to get some more cashiers. About 5 mins later Roger waddles up and is all confrontational, "Did you need something?" I said, "Yes, wanted to let y'all know we're over a dozen deep in line here." "We're working on it," barks Roger with a condescending tone. Then does an about face. To their credit and being fair, they did get another two cashiers a while later. But why the attitude, why the aggressiveness? I was just trying to spend my money in this establishment and I get bad-vibed? I love Bass Pro, but today's experience really drives home the fact that a good shopping experience is about a lot more than price and selection. Crappy employees can take what could have been a positive and turn it memorably negative.
