Kelvin has helped us on several occasions. He was referred to us by another rv owner/friend. they raved about his service and I couldn't agree more. Originally, he helped us by answering a lot of questions about our Dometic refrigerator issues. We talked on the phone and exchanged multiple texts/emails. I never met him, but it was obvious that he was very capable, intelligent and service oriented. He didn't charge us for "free advice" and that impressed me. Later, we decided to change refrigerators and he came to our house and I finally met him. He obviously has expertise and knowledge and comes totally equipped with the most amazing mobile workshop. He did all of the wiring, gas piping and testing for the new refrigerator installation. He also had lots of great information and suggestions. There were some manufacturing issues with the new refrigerator. That did not stop him. He did a lot of investigating and talking with the manufacturers and worked until he was able to get a satisfactory working refrigerator. We are very happy with the results. Throughout, he was professional, capable and personable. I enjoyed working and talking with him and am happy to know that such a wonderful resource is available when we need him again. I heartily endorse Kelvin and would gladly have him work on anything I own. Vann Evans Chapel Hill, NC 2/15/24 read more

Kelvin of Pitstop Trailers repeatedly rose above and beyond the usual level of service in this industry. This guy is great! While visiting relatives in Mebane NC, I needed some work done on my Class C RV, and I called everyone I could find online. Most were too busy to help me anytime soon - except for Kelvin. He came out to see my rig a few days after I called him. He methodically began the task of tracking down the reason my Interstate coach batteries wouldn't hold a charge. When we decided to exchange them for fresh batteries, as they were nearly new, he removed them and drove me to the Mebane NC shop where we should have been able to make the exchange. We got the runaround there (terrible customer service), and Kelvin patiently, diplomatically tried to advocate for me. I also had a leak in the cabover area of my coach, and Kelvin was able to find it and seal it, for which I was most grateful. In every instance, he gave me sound advice, tips, and information. And as if that were not enough, he called me at least twice after working on my coach, to follow up and ask how everything was going. Call Kelvin. You will not regret it. read more

I did A LOT of research to find a reputable mobile RV service technician - and it paid off! Our initial experience with Kelvin was nothing short of extraordinary; he had to diagnose failure of two features on our new 2022 Forest River Rockwood Mini Lite travel trailer and help us work with Forest River to get replacement parts ordered/installed under warranty. We are more impressed with his comprehensive knowledge of the various electrical and mechanical systems on RVs with each visit. The work he does is meticulous and involves a detailed explanation of his findings and the resolution. He has helped resolved numerous RV issues and assisted me with modifications where I need a mentor. I especially appreciate that he is willing to educate me throughout the process. Kelvin is professional, courteous and shows exceptional technical expertise. We have 100% trust in his findings and recommendations. read more

Two main reasons I would definitely use these guys again: First: They are very competent and efficient. Second: They come to Your place for the service. No need to drop off and leave it sit some place for days on end. I was in need of some boat trailer repair after the past weekend, including an emergency brake cable replacement. Kelvin and Trevor showed up at the home on time as arranged and gave me an assessment of the damage and a fair price to fix it. The repair was completed in a few hours, and afterwards a brief inspection of the trailer to ensure all else was in working order. I got the sense of a personal touch and pride in their work, perhaps since its a smaller outfit, but to me, thats what gives them their niche. I'd recommend these guys to anyone with trailer issues or just plain service, and plan on using them in the future. read more

I purchased my camper two years ago without having ever set foot in one before. I searched all over trying to find a service tech who could come teach me about maintenance and the specific workings of my camper. No one was willing to come out to where I was located...until I found Kelvin. He is witty, knowledgeable, prompt and incredibly helpful. He drove an hour to me, patiently showed me how things worked and performed routine maintenance. The last thing he helped me with was a refrigerator that decided to quit working right before the holidays. He worked quickly to order the new fridge, get all the info and diagnostics to my warranty company and replaced everything during the holidays . If you are looking for an honest and efficient service tech, give Kelvin a call! read more

Kelvin just finished some major and minor repairs on my camper trailer. He was right on time for our appointment and was flexible on the site I selected to do the repairs. Before he started, he explained what he was going to do. When he finished, he showed me what was done and how to maintain it. He even gave me tips on how to load my camper for best towing results. This is the fifth time I have used Kelvin's services and each time he has been professional, thorough, results-oriented, and fair-priced. Most importantly, he has fixed my issues and properly maintained my camper. I will continue to use Kelvin in the future for all of my camper service needs. read more

Kelvin helped me so much with fixing what was broken in my brand new RV. He showed up when he told me he'd be there. He showed expertise and professionalism in his work. When something couldn't be fixed as he expected he got creative and figured it out a different way. Kelvin was respectful of my situation and went above and beyond to help me. Most importantly, he has lots of patience which was vital when dealing with the manufacturer.. I've worked with other RV mobile repair people and NOW will always call Kelvin. I was having issues with my 2014 Travato. I so appreciated the attention I was given. As it goes, the reason for calling was "user error." During the diagnostics, he found a couple of other problems which wuld have resulted in some major damage if he had not remedied them. He was also very informative and made some suggestions on how to do some maintenence in better ways. I'm just sorry I couldn't give him a couple of extra stars for bonus points. read more
