Needing a small camper for hunting, the wife and I looked for new and older units on the web, papers and going to dealerships. This being our third camper, we knew exactly what I needed and most importantly what to expect from dealers and their personnel. On our way to look at a camper (over 100 miles from their location in Colfax, NC), I made a call to Camping World of Colfax. The sales rep. Mike (Turbo) Turbeville spoke with me about the type of unit I wanted. I informed Mike as to what I was looking at in a new unit and asked him to call me back with an "turn-key, out the door price, tags/tax, ect.) and if I was what I was willing to pay that price I would come and look at it. Well, he called me back with a price that was almost too good to believe. There was no need to "haggle". Mike met us almost before we got out of the car. He was very polite; showed us the unit and there was no pressure to buy! I was so satisfied with Mike and the price, we did the paperwork that day. Mike by far is among the best sales people we have met, and I have met many! Mike introduced us to Chase Rhodes their finance person. He was also very friendly and polite. Chase informed us what was available, showed us the prices but never pressured us into taking anything other than what we wanted. By far, Chase is the most professional finance person I have dealt with in all my years! (I have dealt with many.) Next came the pick up day. We had to change the day and Mike chose a day that was not only good for them but worked out for us. Mike introduced us to C.H. the Tech. C.H. was very helpful and did a great job walking us through the unit. He was answered all our questions and was very polite. In closing, we thank Mike, Chase and C.H. for their professionalism, non-pressure tactics that made this sale very enjoyable! Thanks guys. Having read a LOT of comments about Colfax RV, I will say the parking lot is small; however, we have been to other Camping World locations that have smaller lots. Please keep this in mind when you go there. BTW: I received a call from Corporate (Camping World) as to our experience. I informed them that had it not been for how we were treated by Mike and Chase, we may not have bought from CW because of what CW's CEO had put out on a web site a few weeks back. I feel he should step down and someone that cares about the business and its personnel should take over!! read more

We made a trip to Colfax, just to see what was available... and ended up purchasing a used camp trailer. Our salesperson, Ron Harvey, was fabulous. He was very knowledgeable about the products, and equally as helpful in answering our questions. He is a very personable salesperson and an excellent representative of Camping World. After our purchase, Dwight gave us a very informative and thorough walk-through on the do's and don't's of camp trailer set-up and break-downs. Again, we encountered a great wealth of knowledge. Dwight is a very personable gentleman who never made us feel a question was dumb or unnecessary. Later that afternoon, because we really weren't prepared and did not have a tow package ready on our vehicle, Kenneth Goins delivered our camper to our land. He was fantastic! He stayed quite a while and helped us level the trailer, and then talked with us, answering even more questions, An awesome gentleman, Kenny was willing to give his time and guidance to make sure we understood the value of a safe and correct set-up of our camper. We felt Kenny went out of his way and did 'way more than normally expected, and we sincerely appreciated his time and help. We would be remiss if we did not mention Chase Rhodes, who did our preliminary financing, and JJ, who completed the paperwork the following day. Again-- fantastic Camping World representatives, very knowledgeable in their areas, and easy to talk with. All these gentlemen are the epitome of what Camping World is supposed to be.... friendly, helpful, informative, supportive and just 'family'. Even the cashier was so friendly and personable!! I have read some of the other reviews, and I must say I am baffled as we never encountered anything negative from anyone at Camping World of Colfax. We had a fantastic experience throughout the purchasing and set-up process. Thank you all ! Sign us as.... Happy Campers read more

My husband and I had been, almost jokingly, discussing how much fun it would be to have a camper. We are empty nesters and hope to travel more as we near retirement. He looked on line and found Camping World of Colfax and we decided to visit them just for fun. We had never looked at campers before and had never been camping together before so this was completely new to us. Ryan Brown was outside when we drove up and he is the one who asked if he could help us. My husband had found a model on-line that he wanted to look at so Ryan took us to see it. I was not impressed with that one because it didn't have a sofa in it. After asking a few questions, Ryan suggested another one of the same brand, but another model that he thought would be perfect for us. He was right. We asked lots of questions And it was obvious that Ryan knew a lot about the campers. He showed us another brand but we ended up preferring the Colman Lantern 202 which is the one that he had suggested for us. Never once did he suggest that we look at a more expensive one. After discussing purchase details, we left there with a "sold" tag on our camper. CW called us to make an appointment for pick-up and a walk-through. So, just 2 days later, we met with Dwight who explained the details of the camper, how things worked and what we needed to do when we actually use it. We were told it would take about 45 minutes but that we had all of the time we needed. Chase helped us with our financing and even made that part not so bad! We shopped around the store and purchased a few items with help from the very friendly lady ( I didn't get her name ) at the register. We have called Ryan a couple of times with questions and got very quick responses from him. We are very pleased with our purchase, with Ryan and the rest of the sales and service team and are looking forward to our first camping trip. read more

My motorhome needed body work after a minor accident. I wasn't sure about the whole process since it was the first time anything like this needed to be done. There are 3 different colors with a swirl pattern where the damage was done. Admittedly I was anxious about the headaches of dealing with insurance and finding a body shop to do a nice job. I called Eddy Wells at Camping World Colfax, he is the Collision Shop Manager late one afternoon. He shocked me when he said bring it by anytime and he would put together an estimate for me. We agreed to the FOLLOWING MORNING. We all know the feeling you get when you meet someone at a business that you are going to be taken care of. It only takes a few minutes to know that. I knew there was no need to shop anywhere else for the body work. He took pictures, measurements, and gathered other information to generate the estimate. Just as important as the information, he set the proper expectation of the entire process and overall time frame. I took the RV home until it was time for repair. He called, sent emails, estimates and dealt with the insurance company. I really only need to do a few things. Approve the work to be performed, drop off and pick up the RV then approve the work that was done. The work that was done was BEAUTIFUL. It was hard for me to notice any difference in paint color or swirls. If you need RV body work, don't hesitate ... give Eddy a call. Steve K. read more

I had an especially good experience with the service department at this dealership. We purchased a Thor Freedom Elite 23H from them in early 2017. I had damaged my awning and needed a new one. I was able to conduct all of the preparation for the replacement by a couple of phone calls and the rest by email. I worked with the service manager, Rick Rhodes - I had a lot of questions and Rick was always prompt with his replies. I was very impressed by his knowledge and excellent customer service I live an hour and a half from the dealership and wanted to get the awning repair and some maintenance items done in one day. He assured me that they could do this and i arrived at 9 and left at 3 with everything done. I also worked with a service advisor, Tucker Stressman, who provided excellent service during my visit. I was glad to see Jason Myers while i was there. He is a service advisor who also has worked in the shop. He did the walkthrough for us when we bought the camper in 2017 - he spent about two hours showing us everything we needed to know to get the motorhome on the road. Both Tucker and Jason were nice enough to come out to the camper and help me diagnose an issue i had with the tv (tv was fine - i had the key in the ignition and was not using the booster). I plan to come back for routine maintenance and for any repairs - it is worth the drive to get the good customer service. read more

Me and the wife have been looking for a toy hauler that we liked for several months. We found one at Camping World of Colfax on their website and decided to go check it out. upon arriving we went to the lot to the campers and found it. We were treated by Ryan Brown and he talked to us and got the price. We decided to sit down with him and run some numbers. After a bit he came back and had gotten us approved for what we had said we were willing to do. Before we said yes we decided to walk back and look it over to be sure it was what we were looking for and Ryan said he would come and walk through with us. Never owning a toy hauler any question we had he could answer. We decided to do the deal and get the camper. Unfortunately when made arrangements to pick the camper up he was unavailable cause he was in Hersey at the show however JJ the finance manager took good care of us with the paper work and getting into our camper. Once done with the paper work and across the street to do the walk through Derrick took great care of us making sure we knew everything about this camper. Also Derrick stayed over to finish up our walk through and had to install a new WDH on the camper cause the one i had was not big enough and made sure it was right and explained how it worked before i left. Working with these guys was a pleasure and I recommend them highly. read more

I am not going to lie, I am not a Camping World fan. I bought a "New" demo model from a different location and when stuff started failing, their service department never responded. I called the manufacturer and had the warranty transferred to Colfax where I met Tucker Stressman. This review covers the first year of ownership. The quality control from this manufacturer is non-existent so I was in for some repair almost every 6 weeks for a year. There were a couple of things that I broke that needed to be replaced too. Add to that that I am not a "weekender" I live in and work out of my motor home, I cannot leave it for a couple of weeks. That is the service department's nightmare. Tucker always made sure I was in and out in a day and had a place to set up and work for the time it took. We got the wrong parts a couple of times and I had to make back to back trips in once but Tucker always made sure the RV was taken care of and I could keep working. He even found a couple of problems that I had missed. Being understanding of the volume that goes through service there, I have to say that Tucker went above and beyond to take care of me this past year. read more

My Son and his family were evacuated fromLeague city Texas because of hurricane Harvey. They left with just the clothes on their back and few extra little things that they were able to grab as they were leaving the house. I explained my situation to Eric Gray at Camping World of Colfax and told him I needed to get my RV down there so my son could set up house and start repairs on his house but, my generator had crapped out on me. Eric said "bring it in today and we will fit you in." He told me the generator was toast and that he could put a new generator in for his wholesale price. Gratefully I agreed. He called me the very next day and said the RV was ready but he had to put a commercial grade and more expensive generator in because all the generators in stock we're heading for Houston and he was not charging me the extra. He also gave me an additional gift of Oil and oil filter to take care of the first oil change on the generator. I am insanely grateful to Eric and Camping World of Colfax for their help in this distressing situation and I would highly recommend them to anyone. They will always have my business. read more

We bought a brand new camper(2015) from Tom Johnson Concord . Within the first month Camping World bought out the dealership . Although the sales rep dropped us like a hot potato after the deal was made Thank Heavens the service manger had a different attitude in customer service . We met Rick Rhodes after owning our camper the first month with a 3 page of cosmetic + mechanical list of repairs . Rick followed us through every step of the way and although the transaction of dealership traded hands he made sure everything went through smoothly. Two years later our camper is still in major repair mode and we could've taken our camper anywhere but instead we followed Rick to Colfax North Carolina where he is now over repairs at the Camping World . Although we went two hours out of our way we went to that specific camping world dealership for a complete roof repair in his care of overseeing the project. As a whole we have made countless trips to camping world for its countless trips to the body shop - Thanks to Rick Rhodes he has been our saving Grace ! read more

We bought our camper a little over a year ago - we have enjoyed it tremendously. Since dealing with Camping World of Colfax, we have recommended not only the sales department, but also service and the retail store to friends and neighbors. We recently visited the retail store to pick up a few "beginning of the season" needed items and decided to take advantage of one of the free seminars being held during this event. Even though our class was very small, the product specialist, Quincy Jones, was extremely informative. He took his time in explaining our concerns that kept us from having a truly enjoyable camping experience. Quincy also introduced us to Tucker Stressman, one of the service advisors, where we set up a scheduled date and time to have our free inspection service before the first camping adventure of the season. My wife and I are very pleased with Camping World of Colfax, their employees and services. We will definitely return for any need that may arise in the future. Brandon Farabee, a service advisor, has restored our faith in Camping World service! We were on our way home to Fuquay from a camping trip to Maggie Valley when we stopped by hoping to get some advice on a couple problems. It has been impossible to get through to our local Camping World (Garner/Raleigh) and they do not return messages, so we figured we would try to get some attention at Colfax. When Brandon finished helping someone on the phone, he immediately asked how he could help us. We told him our issues and he came out to our camper to take a look. Did I mention we did not have an appointment nor did we call ahead. He gave us his advice and settled our concerns. Brandon was courteous, professional, and friendly in addition to being knowledgeable. We only wish this store was closer to us as it is 1 1/2 hours away. I hope management realizes what a valuable employee they have. Mary Ellen Melchiorre David M. Schaeffer Good Sam Member #804111094 read more

So I have been going to Camping World of Colfax for the past 2 years. I actually purchased a Pre-Owned camper from a friend that was already set up at Topsail Beach, NC. I have been dealing with the service department on helping me figure out how to repair a couple small things and they had great prices on all their parts. I plan on upgrading and getting a camper that is a little newer and larger than what I have now. I actually have a friend named Wayne Blakely that I have been talking to about upgrading my unit and possibly trading mine in as well. I have to say all of these guys that I have ever dealt with have been great and now I'm one of my longtime friends is a Salesman there. It's always good to know someone at the dealership you go to, but if you don't know anyone there yourself please ask for Wayne he will treat you like family! Sincerely, Thomas hallett read more

We just recently purchased a camper from Camping World. The customer service that was received was phenomenal. Our sales person was Brian K. In all reality he was just down to earth kind of guy with a outstanding personality. We truly appreciated his honesty, knowledge, and dedication to assure that we found our home away from home and as a family was genuinely happy with our purchase. The walk through was an amazing experience as well...Andy was full of so much knowledge and helpful tips. Absolutely adored his personality. Let me also say kudos to the finance guy name Brian S. He took his time explaining things and was very detailed with the finance process. And let me also say what a wonderful job Mikey also done during this process. If you are looking to buy your first camper or trade in...go see Brian K. you will not be sorry...if you are reading this just go ahead and make your way to Camping World and ask for Brian K. read more

AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!! I was looking to upgrade my current Toy Hauler and contacted Tina Luther for advice and help. She was very knowledgeable about the products on the market and helped me locate a Toy Hauler that I would enjoy. This unit has just been traded in over the weekend and was in fantastic shape! Tina put me in contact with the sales staff and not only did she help find the perfect camper for me, but she also checked the unit out herself to make sure it was in excellent condition. When I came to pick up the unit everything was in order and they walked me through the unit and explained everything in detail. The purchase of this camper went very smoothly thanks to Tina. I was down the road in no time, and on my way to my first adventure with my new camper. I cannot thank Tina enough for all the hard work and excellent service she provided and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for their next RV! read more

We went to Camping World of Colfax to see what our options were after putting a small down payment at another RV dealer. We met with Mike Turbeville, who pointed us in the right direction to look at small travel trailers. We have never bought an RV before and were happy to just browse. Once we met up with Mike again, he graciously answered our many questions and we finally settled on one RV. Needless to say, it was one of the first ones he pointed out to us! So not only does he know his RV's, he knows his customers! Next we met with Quincy Jones in Parts and he was very patient while explaining the types of sway bars there are and what would work best for us (along with a couple of other things that we never would have thought of). We are very satisfied with our purchase, extremely satisfied with sales and service, and can't wait to try our new RV out. Chris and Chris read more

As the wife of a serious outdoorsman and knowledgeable, experienced RV person, being asked to enter Camping World Parts Department by myself is only worse to being asked to pick up a tool or item of hardware at Lowe's or Home Depot. Recently, though, I was amazed and tremendously pleased to be assisted in procuring an obscure part for our Keystone 5th-Wheel by Quentin Jones of Camping World-Colfax. I give the 5-star award ONLY to Quentin for being a knowledgeable parts professional with a pleasant attitude to this irritated wife; for knowing of the part; finding the part and with time to spare. I won't speak of how no one else greeted me; tried to assist or even gave me a direct eyeball look as I entered into the store and wandered around. Thank you Quentin. You are an extremely rare, most conscientious and truly excellent customer service specialist. read more

Ryan Brown is a great salesman, tells it like it is no BS. I enjoyed working with him. JJ in finance is friendly and explains every thing clearly. Dwight in service did our walk through and installed a hitch that we purchased online. Dwight was great. Very patient and answered all our questions and helped with a different bracket needed then the one supplied by the hitch manufacturer. We decided to drive the 2hrs to this location instead of a closer one due to previous experience with Tucker in service. He has taken care of my parents class c motor home on a tight schedule after we were laughed at by the Camping World of Garner. My parents motorhome and my recently purchased travel trailer, will always go to Colfax for routine maintenance. As long as they continue to outperform their competitors and other camping worlds we will continue to purchase here. read more

Had a great experience with the staff at Camping World Colfax. We shopped around for weeks at several other dealers before decided to purchase here. Our salesman Mike did an excellent job and did not pressure us at all. But when it came time to do business he was very prompt and we got exactly what he promised. The walk around was as good as it gets and was very thorough, spent over an hour with my family and fixed a couple minor issues on the spot before we left. The paperwork only took fifteen minutes and was very straight forward with no surprises. Parts staff was knowledgeable and friendly and gave me a nice discount on a brake controller. They have a ton of accessories in stock and a big service department. We purchased a 2019 Keystone Outback 324CG and it looks and pulls great! Thanks for a great experience buying our first camper. read more
