This is my horror story. it's a sad story too. I have been dealing with Baitys tires for nearly 10…read moreyears. Have never had an issue, ever! Great folks or so I thought. I recently had a lift kit installed on my 2025 Maverick tremor. They (Baitys) have done a lift kit before on my bronco sport Badlands awesome job. However, this was not. I acquired their services to do this lift kit and it was on for about a month before it failed. Apparently whether they did not install the CV back into the transmission correctly or the lift kit was missing something but regardless it popped the CV joint out and I lost the transmission. I thought it was a factory issue. It was not. Dealership told me about the CV and the issue with that being that it was not installed correctly or something was missing when they put the aftermarket lift kit on. I did not expect Baittys to pay the full price for the transmission, $8500 and change. But I did expect them to assume some responsibility. I figured that was fair. Also being kind to them because of the relationship I thought meant something and apparently that was Folly on my part. The dealership was awesome, (capital Ford) in Wilmington. They were kind enough to give me a loaner which I've had now for well over a week and a half free of charge. Unbelievably kind. This happened by the way 3 1/2 hours from home on Oak Island. I reside in Greensboro. Well got the call today that the transmission is done. I Texted Tripp the manager At Baiteys Tire he texted me and told me and I paraphrase, that the dealership called him and told him it wasn't anything they did. Which, of course, is in congruent with what the manager told me at the dealership. After leaving a slightly terse voicemail asking why they would tell him that as it was not congruent with our initial conversations after they found out what happened. This being at capital Ford in Wilmington, I got a call back from Nick the manager there and service that is, and he told me he has not contacted Tripp except for the first time telling him what happened and he would be in touch when it's done. 10 years I've dealt with Tripp and Baittys Tire and always recommended them. But why he would tell me a story that they told him it was not anything they did is beyond the pale. You know when you hire somebody, you have a reasonable expectation that they know what in the sam hell they're doing. Well I can tell you, he kicked the can and now I'm stuck with the full amount of a brand new transmission, plus the cost of the lift kit, which will not work on my Maverick at least in the kit that I paid for. So I am out over 10 grand. He can't make this up. So no, I could not recommend them again. It is very distressing. I'm out of the money. I'm out of relationship that you would've thought after 10 years. It meant something. But alas. I'm sure this is abnormal in business today. Sarcasm implied. So buyer beware. I would not recommend them and would give them a minus one score If I could. Sad, big time, mad oh hell? Oh yeah. This is what happened without any embellishments as I believe in being honorable and it is important to be as accurate as possible and not allow your emotions to overtake the facts. They have come in clutch over the last month when we have had several unexpected nails found in our tires. Friendly, efficient and superb service is really all you can ask for. They do take walk-ins but can get pretty busy . My recommendation is to call and set up an appointment to get your service needs met. They can also help diagnose any issues with your tires and get you the service that you need.

My computer / dash on my Honda needed to be recalibrated and that was exactly what was done along with a state inspection. They were reasonably priced and super fast. I neglected to make an appointment in advance but they were still kind enough to squeeze me in and get my repairs done in record time. Make sure to call in advance to make an appointment. I brought my car to Norris Automotive because it was local and my vehicle had to be towed. From the very beginning, this turned into one of the most frustrating and dishonest service experiences I have ever had. I was told my car was flooded, needed a tune up and a new battery. The estimate was already steep at $600, but since the car was already there, I agreed, thinking at least the work would be done properly. Then I get the call that car is ready, the total is now $705. Annoying, but I stayed hopeful that the extra cost meant quality work. I was wrong. I pick up my car, pay the bill, and the receipt says I was charged for new spark plugs and a new battery. That's it?? When I get home, I pop the hood and to my surprise, the same corroded battery is still sitting there. On top of that, my engine cover is now cracked, something that was not damaged when I dropped the car off. I call immediately. Ryan puts me on hold and comes back with, "If you come back tomorrow, we will put the battery in." No explanation. No apology. No accountability for charging me for work that clearly was not done. At that moment, all trust was gone. I would not trust this shop to put air in my tires. I told them I wanted my battery money refunded. Ryan says I have to bring my card back in. On the drive over, I notice I was also charged an environmental and supply fee, something I would understand if they had actually replaced and disposed of a battery, but they did not. When I walk in, Ryan tries to play it casual and asks for my card. I ask him directly, "So I am paying $500 for four spark plugs?" He looks me dead in the eye and says yes, $110 for the spark plugs and $290 for labor. Oh, you mean the same labor that was supposed to include installing the battery they never installed. Absolutely unbelievable. I also ask about the environmental fee, he only offers half back.. Wtf? This place charged me for work that was not done, damaged my vehicle, raised the price after the fact, and offered no reasoning other than it was "an honest mistake". So you admit you have no quality control? If you value your money, your car, and your peace of mind, do not go here. Receipts of initial battery charge and refund attached. Stay clear.

When I inquired with the front desk lady--who had an attitude from the start--she quickly became defensive. They later found that the new power steering pump they installed was defective, but instead of an apology, all I received was a statement that they would need to warranty and replace it. Today, when I returned to pick up my vehicle, I noticed a rattling noise that both mechanics attributed to fluid on the belt, which was caused by their work. When I mentioned this to the same front desk lady, she insisted the noise had always been present, completely unaware that the mechanics had already explained the situation to me--one even mentioned he knew it would be an issue. Since it wasn't my fault, I suggested I would buy the belt myself and asked if they could install it for free since they caused the fluid issue. Unsurprisingly, her rude response was that they wouldn't do anything for free, and she hurried off to find someone to address my concerns. When she returned, she stated that they would install the belt for free but would no longer work on my truck. At that moment, I decided to take my business elsewhere. I don't even need them to replace the belt for free; their attitude and lack of customer service were unacceptable. It's important to note that I had previously had them replace a valve cover on my Nissan and was completely satisfied. Today, before this issue had occurred, I inquired about repairs for my Ford Expedition. This place will never get my business again, and she really needs to work on her attitude--understanding that repeat customers and positive word-of-mouth are vital for success.
