    Maiden voyage home!!

    Went to RV show in Greensboro to purchase accessories but instead purchased a new trailer. Griff our salesperson from Myrtle Beach was amazing. No pressure lots of knowledge and handled us very nicely. We picked up at the Colfax location and Derek reviewed every detail about the new pull behind. He knew every detail, everything we asked and more. He was such a nice man and appreciate him taking all the time with us that we did. Hopefully we will keep this trailer for a while, but if we need to upgrade or have any questions we definitely coming back to camping world.

    The Service department is unethical and possible committing fraud. The Serice as the worst I have ever seen! DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM! It took them over a week to say that it needed to be replaced. Got $3000.00 The fabric was fine, the arms did not appear bent to me. Out of line yes, but not bent. The motor worked with no issues. I then found out the Service Agents are paid on commission. I was told to file an insurance claim. I Thought I was being overcharged and the Service Agent was noting acting ethically and possibly fraudulently. I brought my concern to the Service Manager, who had the estimate revised to $1,200. Again, I stated only the end cap and tube is damaged. I revised estimated $670 and "it will work" So I had the work done. Six Week later it was completed. I went to pick up the RV. The battery was Dead, I could not open the awning and inspect the repair. The broken parts I asked to be returned were not there. And my Hitch was Damaged. The Awning was used once and the End Cap can off the Roller Tube, damaging the End Cap, the Roller Tube, the other side (Front or right side) the awning. Also damaging the arms on both sides and the side of my RV. I tried to drop off the RV but the Service Manager was off. I spoke with the General Manager. He was argumentative. Stated "We recommended the Awning be replaced". I tried to explain to him that this started out as a simple repair. Maybe the job wasn't big enough to make money for the Service Agent I just wanted the end cap and roller repair. Which did not happen. The GM implied I was cheap because I did not replace the Awning and the damage was somehow my fault. It appears the end cap was removed and was not correctly secured or attached to the roller tube. The Cap was only attached by less than of 1/8 of an inch of the roller tube. Not enough to hold the awning together. Do they offer any kind of warranty for your repairs? I contacted Camping World Customer Service and the reply I received that I was told that the awning needed to be repaired and it would have failed if not replace. That the awning was repaired per manufactures standards and the correct screws were placed into the roller. (Enough through that is where the awning failed) The roller should have been replaced. That they were not going to do anything for me because I was told the whole awning should have been replaced. But the FACT they attached the end back onto to roller with less that 1/8 inch of material and into end roller that would have held the screws. Camping world failed to replace or repair the parts that I requested. When the awning failed, they refuse to offer any service warrant. It is simple they failed to replace my parts that I requested. It appeared they wanted a larger work order. It appears they were up charging me and acted unethically and possible frequently.

    More of rusted nails

    We had them to re-install a canopy over our RV Door. They charged $400 and it fell off again recently in less than 6 months. After examining they only put it up with some caulk and did not replace or fix any of the rusted out nails that needed to be fixed to actually make it stay.

    Camp in to the Colfax location on our day off to look at a new trailer, we told our sales guy, Alex, exactly what we wanted & he showed us what was in stock without trying to push us to look at anything out of our price range or out of what we were looking for. We were able to see some models that they didn't have at other locations that we've only been able to see in the brochure. Looking forward to what we may be able to work out in the future. & being able to bring the puppies in made the experience even better!!

    No caulking in shower

    My husband and I bought this camper brand new. Our initial service of the purchase of this vehicle was fine because we did it all over the phone. When we went to pick up the RV, that's when the problems started to arise. Things that typical first time RV years don't know what to look for or what you see in the attached pictures. For instance, the caulking in the shower that you wouldn't know isn't there until you notice a leak in the bathroom over into the kitchen. The sink that looks like it has dropped was cracked underneath because they used very thin wood to hold it up. Which also caused leaking. The sink which provides no water pressure and leaks. The list goes on and on our service has not been great and this is the condition of the supposedly completed repairs. We are so disappointed in the service we have been given and an rv that was brand new and can't get the repairs done to look brand new.

If I was to order elsewhere I'd have to deal with shipping etc so the cost wasn't the best but it evened out . We stood there for a few and watched this fellow walk right on by and nope not a word . By then the wide am was fed up and loudly said Hi how are you ? And the. He spoke up . By then we were done so no you cannot help me and I will take my business elsewhere.

It's already a pain to get in and out of this store/parking lot (you're great if you're only coming from one particular side). They have brands I've never heard of but also brands you do know of - but even these, there's little stock of it. Hardly any variety honestly. It's a massive store but feels very "we're about to go on a big closing sale" with the small amount of stock to choose from (particularly clothing). I looked at cups and yetis one time and just looks like a lot of those supplies have been sitting and picking up dust. Customer service: literally non existent. I never seen a person on the floor in my life there, only at registers...which I give them props for being really nice at the front. But outside of that, nothing.

Apparently I'm no longer sensitive or woke enough (or apologetic enough as an old white man) to satisfy your "20-year" kayak clerk. I called about a "Seals 1.7" neoprene skirt, 2XL neoprene tunnel. The BROAD you have working asked me the "cockpit size". I said to her, somewhat sarcastically: "It's the MODEL." I was firm but not rude. Everyone, at local stores, online simply cares what model skirt. I had spoken to Get Outdoors, REI, and Great Outdoors in Greensboro. Each clerk knew the skirt by MODEL. I had previously been instructing people about the particular boat. None of them seemed interested. Apparently it's a one-size-fits-all skirt. That's what it's ordered by. Your feminist clerk (and PLEASE, let's not elevate the "split tail" to "sales associate") did not ask me the model of the kayak. And NOBODY else was this sensitive. So... I will order online from here on, and will never use either Great Outdoors close to my house. THERE! Your woke, sensitive CLERK can "rest easily."
